Cleaning up my stack of stuff: Why is it always the Socialists that decry “we are the wealthiest nation in history”?
Forgot I had transcribed this from WMUR’s CLOSE UP show (Aug 12, 2018) where Levi Sanders, running to be the Democrat candidate in NH’s Second Congressional District even as he lived in CD-1, said the magic words:
On Tuesday or Wednesday, there will be one of the most important votes in the modern history of this country. And that vote will be whether or not in the wealthiest country in the history of the world, we throw 22 million Americans off the health insurance they currently have.
Yeah, once again – wrongthink. Certainly the idea of a successful Medicare-for-All (which his Dad’s bill isn’t really Medicare-for-all that Bernie touts but is structured more like Medicaid-for-all and jams down lower payments to doctors and hospitals in order to say “see, we lowered healthcare costs” and caring not a whit about the restructuring again of 1/6 of our economy). This is just a sidenote. My real point is this:
But Bernie, didn’t you Democrats already do that?

Gosh, doesn’t that sounds exactly like the definition of the Democrat Identity Politics Totem Poll – everybody is segregated by skin color, nationality / multiculture, and sexual orientation on which they base their voting and priority messaging? Oh wait – that religion part? Dems don’t much care for religion generally, unless you see their proclivities for socialism / humanism as a religion in and of itself replete with its own sacred texts, songs, assorted readings, chants, and high Priests. And then there’s these observations:
“Free” College and Health Care Starting Cost: $42 Trillion Dollars
“Nothing’s Free” is not a phrase in the budgetary lexicon of progressive liberal Democrats. We know this because they are constantly talking about Government-run programs to provide “social infrastructure” to the masses.
The latest “free” goodies to hit the narrative mill are Free College and Medicare for all. Medicare for all is single-payer healthcare. College professors are not giving up their paychecks. And a guaranteed government jobs program can’t pay someone with ‘free.’
The Urban Institute, a left-wing outfit (under) estimates that it will cost (meaning it is not free) someone (meaning you) forty-two trillion dollars to fund “free” for just the first ten years.
And more words from a Democrat Socialist, Levi Sanders. Guess what’s missing from his rant?
“What you just heard is that Chris Pappas doesn’t believe in a ‘Medicare For All’ single-payer healthcare system,” Sanders said. “So I want to ask Chris and all the other people who don’t believe in it: How do you plan to deal with the issues of co-payments, deductibles and premiums?”
“I talk to people all over the district and they tell me they have stomach aches and anxiety disorders from worrying about what’s happening with their healthcare,” Sanders said. “We need a health care system that is free for every man, woman and child. That means no co-payments, no deductibles and no premiums.”
Which translates to “no self-responsibility”. In essence, a complete reversal of the American ideal of

Legal Insurrection is reporting on Bernie Sander’s latest utopian experiment. A program to give everyone who wants or needs one, a job working for the government for $15.00 an hour.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will announce a plan for the federal government to guarantee a job paying $15 an hour and health-care benefits to every American worker “who wants or needs one,” embracing the kind of large-scale government works project that Democrats have shied away from in recent decades.
A rep. for Sanders was quick to point out that they have not yet figured out how to fund it ow what it would cost.
