Poll: 48 Percent of NH Democrats Prefer an Old White Guy For President

Joe Biden continues to poll better than any Democrat candidate for president in New Hampshire. And he’ not even running yet. Boomstick Biden has not formally announced he’s exploring the possibility. Who is their second choice? Bernie Sanders. All those female candidates and the splash or three of color and NH Dems prefer two old white guys.

Tatishe Nteta, director of the UMass Poll and a political science associate professor, said the findings indicate, despite the Democratic Party’s diverse roster of candidates vying for 2020 nomination, New Hampshire voters “seem to be more comfortable handing the reins to a seasoned veteran.”

I don’t think that’s it. They picked Bernie over Hillary, and she had oval office “experience.”

New Hampshire voters also had a choice between pale white Democrats for Congress or two Republicans of Color. Steve Negron and Eddie Edwards were Republicans of color, chosen by GOP voters over white alternatives. But the Democrats showed up en masse to keep them down.

Do you like the tone? I’m pretending to work for CNN.

The obvious preference here is for white guys. Old white guys. Old white guys with no connection to the real world outside the filter of government. Career politicians. At least one of whom is a bit too touchy-feely with the ladies.

Nothing young, new, female, or of color. Bigoted, racist, misogynist, or at least that’s how it would read if we were talking about Republicans.

Of course, the real reason they like Biden is that they want someone who will beat Trump. They don’t care who. Even dopey Joe. The problem with that is the base is far too smitten with ideology before anything and Joe is perceived as far too Crony-Capitalist-Hillary-Era for them.

But they can still vote for an old white commie named Bernie, and that’s who is going to win NH’s Democrat primary.
