I wanted to share a quick note about all the filing announcements for public office. This is the week for them, and we get more than a few, and we need to do things differently this time around.

With the pandemic driven business shutdowns, New Hampshire is expecting enough of a drop in Business Enterprise Tax (BET) to trigger a tax rate increase under a law passed a few years ago. The BET is a tax on having employees.
Youthful Idiots and the Illusory Truth Effect
Watching the news coverage of the ongoing riots, I couldn’t help notice a couple of things. First, was the anger, the feral vitriol directed at the police on the scene. It was apparent in the faces and the actions of the rioters and in the signs scattered about, hateful signs like, “Blue Lives Murder,” and “Good Cops Are Dead Cops.”
