Back around 2006 New Hampshire Democrats happily abrogated taxing authority to an out-of-state commission. This body, known as the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), was granted the power to tax you through your electric bill and then pass it off to Concord after taking a handling fee.
New Hampshire’s House Democrats passed a bill that would make it a crime to hand out a plastic straw. Policing, the new restriction had a starting cost of $93,000.00 per year.

Peterborough has been trying to get rid of the Monadnock Rod and Gun club for years. The club has been tied up in a legal fight, and the prissy progressives have attempted to eliminate by any means necessary, which now includes (basically) defining it out of existence.

With transgender athletes showing up in the headlines (and generating controversy) more frequently, this seems like a good opportunity for people to stop and reflect on why we have categories in sporting events in the first place. Why not get rid of weight classes in boxing, for example? Are those for the benefit of the competitors, or for the benefit of the fans of the sport, who want to have at least a chance of being surprised?
