Because Democrat Timothy Horrigan Asked…

Calling out Left wing hypocrisy is my meat and potatoes. So, the other day, while asking (yet again) why anyone would trust Democrats given their party culture, I mentioned that one of their current NH House candidates had previously voted here while claiming to live in another State.

New Hampshire Democrat Timothy Horrigan asked when the candidate, William ‘Hud’ Connery, admitted to living in Tennessee?  Another ‘anonymous commenter’ said the post was bogus and we had no proof.

I accept your challenge.  You want proof, here it is.

Would NH Democrats Want Out Of State Military Personel Voting Here?

It is generally accepted that military personnel and their families,  no matter where they are working, get to vote back home, no matter where they are and how far away “home” is. But to hear New Hampshire Democrats talk, if there was one or more, great big military bases in New Hampshire, with thousands of … Read more

A Brief And Incomplete Veto Override Round Up [Correction]

The fate of Obama-Care and the Holder Contempt vote , and all the discussion and speculation that follows, will probably wash out everything veto override day - John Lynch Vetoes being overriddenelse today.  Before that happens I want to take a few minutes to comment briefly on yesterday’s veto overrides.

I have written at great length on all these subjects and you can search the Grok for more detail than I’ll provide here, but for now I will speak again briefly on the Veto overrides of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban, Education scholarships (school choice) and Voter Photo ID…

On the jump.

Smart Girl Politics – The Podcast

Last Thursday I was a guest/co-host on WSMN 1590,  Smart Girl Politics Radio with Susan Olsen.  We spoke about GrokWatch, some of what we’ve investigated so far, and what the goals are for this project.  We also discussed some bureaucratic objections to photo ID laws for voting and my objections to their objection.   If … Read more

Project Veritas – “Can Illegal aliens vote in North Carolina?” Er, that would be a yes

James O’Keefe’s  Project Veritas has done another Voter Fraud video – this time in the State where the Democrat National Convention will be – North Carolina!  How fitting, as it always seems that Democrats are the one who could care less who is voting (or how often – it’s the Chicago way!).  I just keep wondering how long it will take before the illustrative theater of the absurd will finally start to sink in – and even with that, it IS absurd that the government workers can’t accept that if something is that absurd looking, they are being punked.  But, that’s the problem with “seams” or boundary conditions and folks who are “just doing the job” – both them and the “system” can easily be exploited.

Here is the supporting info for this North Carolina activities (entire video, the research paperwork).

GrokTV Event: Project Veritas founder, James O’Keefe speaks on voter fraud / NH criminal grand jury subpoena issued yesterday.

This afternoon, the Rye Republican Town Committee held their “Gala Reception for 2012 GOP Candidates” at the Abenaqui Country Club in Rye, NH and GraniteGrok was there to livestream the event. Given such a name, a number of NH GOP candidates for seats in 2012 did attend the sold-out crowd of about 250.  However, the … Read more

Bwahahahahaha!

Project Veritas strikes again.  This time, in Attorney General Eric Holders own Precinct.

Voter ID: Challenging the Challengers

“American youth attributes much more importance to arriving at driver’s license age than at voting age.”  —Marshall McLuhan

NH Poll workers see dead peopleHB 1301, a bill seeking to remove requirements for an an affidavit to challenge votes , and permitting voter challenges on election days to be made at voting registration tables. The Bill, sponsored by Representative Paul Mirski and Paul Ingbretson, passed a house vote on February 22,  212 to 129, and is now before the Senate with a hearing scheduled for this past Tuesday.

Voter Fraud Efficacy

“It is a sign of the times that the absence of meaningful ID requirements in many states leaves our voting process vulnerable to fraud and allows legal votes to be cancelled out by illegally cast ballots.”  —Rep. Virgil Goode,  5th congressional district of Virginia: 1997 to 2009.

NH Poll workers see dead peopleIt intrigues me that Project Veritas struck again on March 13 in Vermont, yet got very little face time in the national media. James O’Keefe and Project Veritas took a road trip to Vermont on March 13th and conducted a redux of the the New Hampshire investigation. Only this time they never took a ballot.  And true to form, the liberals acted as predicted: Calls to the attorney General for an investigation to see if any crimes were committed.

Project Veritas folks took this one step further, though. They went to bars and attempted to obtain alcohol without an ID; They attempted to get a civil union certificate without an ID. Both endeavors met with failure.

More Democrat Voter Fraud?

Twitchy has a link to an investigation of the voter rolls in Democrat Sheila Jackson Lees district. The group began doing research into the abnormalities in Jackson Lee’s district. They took the first 3,800 registrations of the flagged 19,596 homes with six or more registrants and began to investigate further. The group visited addresses and … Read more

Voter ID Passed in the Senate, But Really?

“It is a sign of the times that the absence of meaningful ID requirements in many states leaves our voting process vulnerable to fraud and allows legal votes to be cancelled out by illegally cast ballots.”—Virgil Goode

Yesterday, the New Hampshire Senate passed SB289 right down party lines 18 to 5, according the the New Hampshire Union Leader.  The bill now goes to the House.  The Senate website indicates a roll call vote, but as of this morning, there is no listing for that. Why is the leadership in this Senate Body “gun shy” about  each Senator owning his or her vote via roll call?

The bill require voters to show photo identification before casting ballots is a step closer to becoming law after it was passed by a wide margin in the Senate on Wednesday.

Project Veritas just wants to let you know (on the day of the Minnesota Caucuses) – Voter ID for Tim Tebow and Tom Brady? Not needed in MN to register

I See Dead People (Petition Edition)

We’ve begun the process of getting our hands on the ‘so-called’ 109,900 names and addresses from petitions ‘collected’ by the well funded out of state groups who dropped them on the New Hampshire Attorney General yesterday I have speculated on a few occasions that a super-majority of these will be from outside New Hampshire, but … Read more

Granite State Progress drops petitions but no one is there to hear

[Updated Below]

That 9:30 press conference, the one at which Zandra Rice Crispy Treats Hawkins (ZRCTH) was supposed to unleash the fury of over 100,000 signed petitions, started a little late. Something to do with the lack of actual press. As of 10:00 Zandra was still there, as the typical day’s traffic wandered in and out of the Legislative office Building, paying little or no attention to the tiny knot of people behind the podium.

Should NH Give A Damn About Zandra Rice Hawkins?

Tomorrow, someone who relies entirely on out of state money, will present a pile of petitions, signed almost entirely with out of state signatures, to the New Hampshire Attorney General (AG), whom she will ask to investigate voter fraud in the Granite State.

Let me start out by thanking Zandra for the petition show she plans to put on tomorrow.   She thinks she is going to make a statement about the need to prosecute voter fraud, James O’Keefe and Project Veritas specifically, but that is not the statement she will be making.

Please allow me to set the table.

ID at The Dump

Your Vote Counts...even when someone else steals it
...even when someone else steals it

Not long ago Merrimack went to annual renewal of our dump decal.  You display it on your windshield so they know you are a resident.  It costs nothing to get the decal,   but according to the guy handing them out, the amount of savings more than covers the cost of doing this every year.   Quite a bit more.  He says that asking people to present an ID once a year to get a new sticker, saves the municipality a lot of money.

Not only was there fraud at a place where not too many people were thinking about it (at the town transfer station) but there was enough of it to make annual renewals an important disincentive against it.

Of course the cost of operating the transfer station is just one part of the town budget.

So how much could it cost a town if just anyone can walk into a polling place, get a ballot without any ID at all, and vote for or against issues, Warrants, and candidates that will affect local spending and inevitably the tax burden required to fund that spending?  More?  Millions more?

GrokTV Event-NH Senate hearing: Voter ID / SB318 – Skip Murphy

OK, I’m touting my own horn here.  Sure, I am in favor of a Voter ID bill that requires a picture ID.  Given the two bills, I think I would favor SB289 over SB318.  Yes, the latter tries to cover more areas but I think that SB289 is more tightly focused on the major issue … Read more
