The Biggest Special Interest Of All

Two Sheets PleaseThere’s something you might want to keep in mind about the state level Democrat wind machine as we move forward toward 2012.  It has been their practice to ignore their own out of state campaign dollars as they attack anyone or anything on the Republican side with even the most tenuous connection to influence from outside the state.  Even the governor has stood up and declared that he is against the influence of money from outside the state, while hundreds of thousands have poured into his pockets from places farther  and wider than the political borders of the Granite State.  But that’s all superficial by comparison to this.

How do governor Lynch, Chairman Buckley, presumptive democrat candidates for 2012 at every level, the whole of the democrat party, even their RINO sympathizers, explain why they embrace massive infusions of out of state money and all the disruptive influence it has at the state and local level…from the federal government?

Obama Appleseed

Unions are basically socialist constructs, huge businesses whose product is workers dues dollars.  They cannot Feel The Power of The Dark Sidesurvive without them so they need to manipulate the business/worker environment to maximize their income earning potential.

The biggest union scam ever conceived was the public sector union.  Taxpayer funded employees pay dues which are then used to influence elections at every level in favor of a political class that will then build union power by growing government, and adding more dues paying union employees whose additional funds will then keep the pro-union politicians in power.

Want to know why democrats care about public school class sizes?  More teachers, more dues, more democrats.  It has nothing to do with learning.  Now project that thinking across the entire "grow government" universe and you have a massive scheme to swell the bureaucracy at your expense that should be illegal but is not.  But with Obama serving as their Johnny Appleseed, using your money–provided by the democrat congress–he’s been creating and saving dues paying public union jobs (and democrat campaign coffers) all over the nation.

White Walshing Lynch

I guess the Lynch campaign is busting a kidney over the pressure being put upon them by the National Organization for Marriage (NOM).  It looks like NOM bought up $425,000.00 worth of air time with which to expose our little governor to that which he has long become unaccustomed–he will have to stand on something … Read more

Obama and the SEIU

This Jan Brewer campaign video reminds us of the relationship between Obama and SEIU, and what their plan is.  To convert millions of illegal immigrants into dues paying pro democrat union voters. It is instructive.  (And Union meat-puppet Carol Seiu-Porter has to support this.)

Hodespocrisy Flashback- Why I Call Him Paul “Sugar Daddy” Hodes

Photo Credit 'TopNews.in'A few months back I discovered that Paul Hodes had received a one time $10,000.00 donation from American Crystal Sugar (A major US Sugar conglomerate), at about the same time as the 288 billion dollar 2007/2008 Farm bill was being pushed through congress, and vetoes overrode.  US Sugar is a protected industry with a good amount of political influence.  American Crystal Sugar wanted to get into the ethanol industry but could not justify the up front costs.  Hodes and the farm billed solved that problem with your money.

Here’s the original piece I wrote on the relationship.

THURSDAY, JUNE 24, 2010

Paul Hodes has a dirty little secret.  His ‘commitment’ to green energy has strings attached that lead directly to the sugar industry and a significant campaign cash “Thank You.”

Back in 2007 and 2008 Congress waged an epic battle over the Farm Bill.  They didn’t call it the farm bill they called it the Food Nutrition and Bio-Energy Act.  What it was (or became) was a 288 billion dollar sop to the agriculture industry with a focus on approving billions into ethanol subsidies for the farm belt before the 2008 elections.

To muddy up the real purpose the democrat majority in congress tossed in money for food stamps and school lunches so that any effort to kill it could be spun as evil Republicans starving the poor and denying underprivileged students a hot nutritious lunch.   When some republicans balked, the left jumped.  And when George Bush, who was still friendly to the idea of ethanol mandates, vetoed both the bill (HR 2419) and the supplement that added in some items left out of the original (HR 6124) the democrat majority House overturned both vetoes. (Both henceforth to be referred to simply as the “farm bill”)

So Paul Hodes not only voted for the hand outs, he voted for them four times: twice to pass the original bills and twice to overturn the vetoes. Does that show commitment?  I think it does.

John Lynch Gets What’s Been Coming

Blogging can be a weird hobby.  You never know when something you’ve planted will grow and bear fruit.  But back on May 28th of 2010 I planted this seed. It was about Mr. Lynch going to the Political OutGiving conference. In the intervening months I planted a few more, here, and here, and here. There … Read more

Welcome To The Hodespocrisy!

Hodespocrisy.jpg

On July 31st the New Hampshire Democrat Party declared open season on Paul Hodes political PAC money so I’m not wasting any time taking up the challenge.  The challenge?  Find hypocrisy in the donors or the donors to the donors—to Paul Hodes campaign.  Let me tell that it’s no challenge making Mr. Hodes and his NHDP supporters look like hypocrites.  So courtesy of the NHDP’s new ‘rules’ I am pleased to bring you an ongoing series of campaign finance investigations suitably called the Hodespocrisy.

First up is DANPAC, one of nine leadership PAC’s that have given Mr. Hodes $10,000.00 dollars this election cycle.  DANPAC is run by Senator Daniel Inouye, democrat from Hawaii, the chairman of the Senate appropriations committee.  DANPAC has given $10,000.00 to Paul Hodes, which Mr. Hodes has accepted despite glaring contradictions.

Contradictions you ask?  What might they be?

Shea-Porter’s Money “Don’t know were it came from.”

Carol's LaundryMoney laundering is illegal unless you are in congress. Once you are a member in good standing you earn the privelege of access to a hoard of cash accumulated by the hundreds and hundreds of congressional PAC’s fed by those buying influence. It is money that comes from lobbyists, special interests, the corporate culture of business big and small, unions, fringe groups, mainstream special interests, and everyone else. Carol Shea Porter is a willing recipient of hundreds of thousands of dollars over her congressional career from this polluted well, but she would like very badly for to believe that "the money don’t know where it came from."

"The money don’t know" meme is the standard dodge reported ad nuaseum on television and in movies whenever one of our imperfect heroes discovers some stash of drug cash. It’s tainted money, accumulated by thugs and murderers on the lives, weakness, and addictions of others, (just like congress) but as the story goes…it’s ok to take it because the money don’t know where it came from. The heroes resist temptation. Shea Porter is no such hero.

From this mornings Nashua Telegraph, Kevin Landrigan quotes Sheep-Porter’s campaign manager Angela Ruslander as she justifies the paltry 200K in fundraising last quarter.

""Since Carol’s winning campaign in 2006 she has never accepted contributions from D.C. Lobbyists or business PAC’s,…Instead, Carol has always relied on a strong grassroots network. This support ensures that Carol can continue to stand up for Granite State veterans, soldiers, seniors, and middle class families."

Bwahahahahaha! Angela how the hell do you sleep at night?

Two Of A Kind

John Lynch has a lot in common with governor Chet Culver of Ohio.  Chet said he would protect marriage as between a man and a woman and then Chet got all squishy.  Then he stood by and let the courts define marriage for him. Want to know some other interesting coincidences?  Chet was receiving money from … Read more

Spin From The House Of Hodes

Good Day Eh!The Hodes camp is trying to adjust their slightly twisted britches after a fund raising trip to the great white north eh. (Ok. This is like, me outside the country eh?) In defense of the move campaign spokesman Matt House said, (From WMUR.com)

At the end of the day, we are going to have the resources we need to win this campaign,” said campaign spokesman Matt House. “Paul has a record of standing up against the special interests.

And..

We are very excited about the momentum we are gaining in New Hampshire, and these political attacks are going to be what they are going to be[.]

Well, I’m glad you are excited Matt but momentum in New Hampshire?  Anyone smart enough to put on their thinking touke, and dexterous enough to use a computer mouse can reveal the truth for themselves.  Rasmussen just announced that Hodes is now trailing four Republican opponents, and every time I look, Mr. Hodes campaign career shows him getting over 70% of his campaign funds from outside New Hampshire. (66% so far this cycle).  Bankers and lawyers (and left wing congressional PAC’s – Oh my!) outside New Hampshire are excited Matt, but that’s about it. So no one doubt’s you will have the resources.

We’ll Have A Gay Old Time

It should be common knowledge that Governor Lynch attended a secret gay-donor confab in Chicago back in May.  But no one was supposed to know.  I got wind of it when I received an article from the Washington Blade questioning the secrecy. (A repost of that blog can be found here)  Only two months later, it is finally showing up locally at the Keene Sentinel.

Of course the Sentinel seemed more concerned with the group and our governor’s evolution on the issue; his shift from what they call ambivalence to outward embrace of gay marriage.  But why not report this meaningful embrace back in May when it happened?  It seems like he could have used a lift after that beating he took from the National Organization for Marriage.  Was it too secret an embrace?  So secret that the no one wanted it known?  Was Governor Lynch afraid to come out of the gay donor closet?

He was, and for good reason.

A Smudge On The “Teflon” John

Mr. Lynch also wants’ you to assure you that NOM’s out of state influence should not be taken seriously. He is just concerned about out of state money affecting local politics. But what he’d rather you not discuss is how much out of state money he’s been using for political speech to keep himself ensconced in the governor’s office up in Concord.

John Lynch Goes Gay (Sort Of)

The Ray and Kathy Show has this gag they do all the time, where they complain about outside money, or special interests on the right affecting local elections.  It’s a serious gas because everyone knows it’s actually a projection of their own involvement with deep pocketed outside interests with which they exert pressure upon the local … Read more

George Soros Loves New Hampshire

George Soros likes to move his money around like he’s playing chess, mostly by supporting organizations or foundations who then support others and at some point that money finds it’s way into issue advocacy or campaign war chests.  Direct contributions are not exactly common for George.  But for some reason he’s quite taken with New Hampshire … Read more
