Liars!

Yes, the very tax cuts that did not even exist, the ones GWB screwed the Middle class out of for the better part of the decade, just appeared at the wave of a talking point memo, whipping out seven years of dishonest, backhanded, left wing class warfare rhetoric, simply because it had suddenly become politically convenient to have democrats extending something they insisted never even existed.

Meet Professor “Screw You”

On the front page of this mornings Union Leader reporter Clyntnon Mamuo covers negotiations between the University of New Hampshire, and some 630 professors over their new contract.  As is often the case with such things, there is some disparity between what the University feels is economically feasible and what the white-tower and it’s union representatives actually want.

Keep in mind that the article quotes inflation at around 0.5%, and we know that over the past few years the government method of calculating inflation overall have shown it almost flat.  Using these figures along with what we know about pension issues and what Obamacare is doing to the cost of health insurance ‘the smartest people in the state’…

"…proposed a 12.5 percent pay increase, one percent of which would be merit-based, and no increase in health insurance premiums."

So the education establishment liberals in the university system think like the establishment progressives who ran up the state budget in the past four years. Screw the economy we deserve a huge raise. (The progressive political class gets their reward through a larger public sector union, which gives them money to try and keep them in office so they can rinse, lather and repeat.) And it is no surprise that they, democrats and educators, are fiscally (and ideologically) co-dependent.

Stieg Larsson Is A Dead Marxist

IImage Credit: Shelfari had occasion to spend an above average amount of time in the "reading room" over the weekend.  No need to go into specifics but perhaps the words Whole Bowel Cleanse, give you some idea of what I mean.

While so positioned, I managed to cram all 590 pages of Stieg Larsson’s book ‘The girl with the dragon tattoo‘ into my reading diet and let me say this; if you can get past the first 190 pages the next 400 are worth the time.  I enjoyed the bulk of the book immensely, despite the fact that I was trapped in "the reading room" and that it was written by a now dead Marxist.

DCCC Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet

The Morons at the DCCC have done the nation a service this Thanskgiving.  They have sent out an email to arm the tin-foil hat army with a ‘cheat sheet’ in the event that they find themselves in this unfortunate situation.

You’re settling in at the table on Thursday and in between shouts of "please pass the mashed potatoes," one of your relatives starts repeating one of Sarah Palin‘s lies, or some ludicrous accusation about President Obama that he heard at a tea party rally or on Rush Limbaugh‘s radio show.

There’s only one problem. The cheat sheet does not equip the Reynolds wrap wearing acolytes of liberalism with anything new.  What it amounts to is things they can yell instead of engaging in debate.  But the DCCC is not to be discouraged.

That’s why we’re proud to bring back the DCCC’s Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet. The Cheat Sheet will arm you with the real facts so you can answer back with the truth as soon as your Republican relatives start sounding like Sarah Palin.

I think this is the same card they sent out to the House reps to run on for reelection.  It really is just crap to be shouted over the Yams and stuffing, a list of so-called democrat accomplishments–only they left one out.  "Having policies so unpopular with the voters that they lost 63 House seats."

It’s about the only good thing to come out of that damn party and they left it off the list.

That’s OK. You know what to do if you encounter the cheat sheet.  Just ask polite questions.  They have no idea how to answer them.  They don’t know anything that is not on the cheat sheet.

And my suggestion for democrats this Thanksgiving?  This list is a real turkey. Pretend to be an independent.

The Cheat sheet is on the jump.  Don’t drink anything while you read it or it’s coming out your nose and all over your computer.  You have been warned.

Not An Orignal Thought Between Them

The progressives are looking for a name for Kathy Sullivan’s 501(4)c secret-donor non-profit.  Well how about "Amercian Bridge?"

Why name it that?  Because it would fit nicely with a national group ‘American Bridge" set up by David Brock, a prominent democrat political operative, who runs an array of groups under the left wing "Media Matters," a non-profit that does not need to disclose it’s donors either–and from whom he will tap resources to fund his new group meant to do battle with similar groups on the right.

You know, they ran roughshod over most of us. Now, they’re whining about possible repercussions…

Well funded groups with wholesome sounding names like "Cornerstone" are preparing to attack marriage, to overturn established law, to revoke civil rights, to rip families apart.

Yeah, that would be the Democrats here in NH; specifically Dean over at his Den of Progressivism, Blue Hampshire.  He’s all aghast that since the voters completely dissed his Progressives friends and voted in (gasp!) Republicans, he’s all afire as he just can’t believe that elections have consequences (ok, this was written last Friday; I don’t visit all that often):

Today we learned that majority will be led by a radical.

Sure, the Republicans have taken over the majority – and with good reason!  Dean is absolutely apoplectic that majority of the voters rose up and gave the Democrats, because of their Progressive ways, the heave ho.  The Progressives ran the spending past the max and ran the social issues to the max as well – Hard Left.  And then some more.  For this, Dean didn’t expect that the majority of folks would genuflect in their Leftward position and re-elect them?  Now, Dean wants to blame the elected Republicans – he doesn’t get it that it was the majority of the voters that rejected his Liberal philosophy.

Blaming the voters – works wonders for the soul, doesn’t it?

The radical of which he speaks is Bill O’Brien (who probably will be the next Speaker of the House).  Remember, he was set up to be the Democrats’ Most Extreme winner (remember?  LOTS of conservatives were very upset over this website – no, not because they were on it but because they WEREN’T!).

You know, I was asked during the NECN interview, what I thought of being called a radical?  Remember my answer?  Effectively: "my, how times have changed!  For simply standing on and standing up for the values and philosophy expressed by our Founding Fathers in the Constitution, I’m branded a radical?  So be it – I gladly accept that title".  And I know that Bill gladly wears that title as well.

As to the majority of which Dean speaks: much to their utter disbelief, the vast majority of citizens of NH voted for candidates who openly ran conservatively.  To be sure, their campaigns were run primarily on fiscal issues: Issue #1, Issue #2, Issue #3, and Issue #4.  Then, and only then, did the the social issues weigh in.  Be very sure, however, that unlike most of the Democrats in 2006 and 2008 when Democrats hid their Progressive Liberal agenda, most Republicans honestly answered their opposition to what the Democrats had imposed on the State. Voters still voted for them. But will Dean acknowledge that the voters were right?  Hardly.

Dean also wants to blame conservative groups such as Cornerstone (Kevin Smith, with his partners like the National Organization of Marriage) and…

Another example of Progressive thinking…

While the thrust of my last post seemed to be about the money, it really is about the attitude: "you should do what what WE ALL need to do".  In that case, it was "we will protect you, even if you won’t protect yourself" in a life-safety issue.  Here, the Liberals wants to keep his … Read more

Sullivan’s Mea Culpa

Yesterday some of us were treated to the palate cleansing of former NHDP chair Kathy ‘Lawsuit’ Sullivan. She took the opportunity to fill her allotted Union Leader real estate with a “reform agenda for democrats.” If you get tired of shoving broken glass in your eye check it out.

It’s Another “Can’t We All Just Get Along Coalition”

John DiStaso’s Granite Status alerts us to the formation of yet another group designed to help American’s ‘find a copacetic political medium.’  This one is called NoLabels. Like similar ‘groups’ (I’ll call them out in a moment) this one wants to bring the self-proclaimed rational people from both sides into the center.

From DiStato

A new advocacy group that disdains "hyper-partisanship" and promotes "the vital center" is trying to make in-roads in New Hampshire.

"Ultimately, unless we get rid of some of our ideological intensity, we are not going to be served by government."

The group is being fronted locally by former Portsmouth mayor and so-called centrist democrat Steve Marchand.  I’m not going to waste time on whether Marchand is centrist or not, in fact I think I’ll skip the preview reel altogether and get to the point.

Progressive Trade Rules

Being beholden to unions causes you to say and do stupid things.  Take Carol Shea-Porter for example.  She was against a trade deal with Panama because she claimed it would cost American jobs, when it would actually open up trade from us to them–they already had unfettered access; result?–it would have created American jobs. Provisions … Read more

Trouble in Utopia

Can Gene Chandler Salvage The Liberal Agenda?

Provocative title, yes?  Well before you complain about it ask yourself a question.  Why does Dean "Bob" Barker, and the leftistas prefer Chandler over O’Brien?  "That the Dems, if unified, can play a role in preventing him [O’Brien]from being House Speaker, is good news. Dean is part and parcel to the entire Buckley/Sullivan progressive fringe … Read more

A Word From The Chairman Of New Hampshire’s Super Minority Party

Over on Facebook last week the Chairman of the New Hampshire Democrat party wished we had this law on the books.

British Election Overturned Because of "False Statements"

The Independent reports that former British immigration minister Phil Woolas "lost his seat as an MP today after an election court ruled that he knowingly made false statements about an opponent in May’s general election."

Bloomberg notes Woolas was guilty of "an illegal practice" by making statements "he had no reasonable grounds for believing were true and did not believe were true."

"It is the first time in 99 years that an election has been overturned as a result of a candidate making false statements. Woolas told reporters he is applying for a judicial review of the decision."

Why?  Mr. Buckley claims that if we had this law…

"Hardly a Republican would hold office in New Hampshire if we had this law here…"

Playing 52 Pick Up, And Then Some

New Hampshire Election Information (http://nhelection.info/) has the results posted of its 52-pick up page an effort to identify and track the replacement of fifty-two "of the most statist and the most vulnerable legislators in the New Hampshire House of Representatives."

The final accounting is impressive.

Only four of the fifty two reps listed survived the 2010 election season; Evalyn Merrick (Coos 2), Peter Ramsey (Hills 8), Daniel Sullivan (Hills 8), and Nick ‘The Nuke’ Lavasseur (Hills 11) survived.  The other 48 got washed out in the roughly 296 seat sweep of the House.

Clueless…Lou D’Allesandro

(Pic credit: Robin Ann Peters)                               Homer

Lou D’Allesandro on this morning’s WMUR’s "Close Up"

Question:

What do you think the voters were trying to say with that message they sent on Tuesday?"

Answer:

I think people are mad and they really don’t know what they are mad about but they’re mad and as a result frustrated and their frustration came to light when they visited the polls.  Let’s get rid of those that made me mad and let’s hope that the new group can change things. And I believe that sentiment was pervasive throughout the country when you look at the races around the nation.  I think the one exception was the State of MA where they actually gained seats.

And I would add, CA and NY also followed the MA model.  Ask yourself – which states, in our Union, are most likely to go begging to the Feds and ask for financial bailouts because their Progressive policies have all but put them into Obama’s fabled Ditch.

The Eldest’s response, as he walked by and heard Senator Lou’s pithy observation, pretty much summed it up:

"…a herd of unruly Homer Simpsons that just took out all his support.  Coming out of the voting booth with broken pencils going "D’oh!"

"Gambling" Lou has it wrong; voters did hear the message – they’ve also seen the effects of those Progressive policies put forth by the Democrats here in NH and "around the nation"  these last few years – and their cost.  They have also seen Progressive politicians continue to believe that they…

A View From The Progressive Wilderness?

Seems to me Ray should be accusing the voters of overreach, and that’s probably what he’s doing. But a 75% Majority of State government sends a message about someones agenda, even when that message is delivered to democrats. It’s, what’s the word, a referendum.

From The Strange But True File…

Courtesy of Moe Lane at Red State, apparently a group called the Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) had a pledge they wanted candidates to sign on to.  This petition was to show support for Net Neutrality rules.  For those not versed, Net Neutrality is another left wing Utopian nightmare spun as fairness, and promoted by the big players like Google, who stand to benefit from it.  Think of it simply as the path to a corporate socialist internet.  Google has donors to the PCCC PAC, and is even listed as a major expenditure by the PAC.  Google would win big if this crap ever saw the light of day.

The PCCC itself is co-founded by it’s treasurer Adam Green a professional left winger, and is powered by MoveOn.Org and big labor.  It’s goal is to elect progressives to replace anyone to their right including moderate democrats, though it looks like they started with open seat contests at first with an eye on "progressing" toward unseating Blue Dogs later on.

A left wing observer explained the PCCC like this…

The Bonfire Of The Misogynists

Bill Clinton Was In NHI’m still awaiting the blistering criticism due Governor Lynch from Democrat spokesperson Harrell Kirstein, for accepting praise from the misogynist in Chief, the impeached serial sex offender and perjurer, former president William Jefferson Clinton, who came to New Hampshire to campaign for floundering democrats and the little governor that could. President Bubba, the benefactor of a countless number of Bimbo eruptions, demonstrates to us the true value that democrats place on marriage–none, and to women in general, not in the fabricated terms Kirstein would attribute to others, but in their actual context.

Clinton continues to be coveted very likely because of his indiscretions, but more prominently for being the most visible evidence that the democrat party is a cabal of liars because he was impeached for lying–and lying about his casual abuse of women to boot.

So I guess Governor Lynch endorses this kind of behavior then.  He certainly emulates it. (The lying)  Which means he must also be defending his parties other abuses of women, seeing as we’ve heard nothing denouncing it, from his office, his state party, or anyone in it for that matter.
