CBS News recently reported that inflation under Biden has cost the average American family over $11 thousand per year. Rest assured, that figure is understated because it is based on “government data.” The tweet below links to the CBS article.
Middle Class
Looking for the Advantages in an Open Border Policy
A question for readers if I may. What advantage to or for American workers or American people, in general, does the current open borders policy provide?
Data Point: So where has the Middle Class gone? Oh, it got richer!
All we keep hearing on the Left is that the Middle Class has been taking it on the chops. Well, guess who has been doing that lately? Yes, the Left. Kill off thousands of union jobs, President Asterisk did by killing off the XL Pipeline. And not just THOSE jobs building and running it but … Read more
Trump Economy Middle-Class Income Gains Four Times Higher Than Obama’s
If you take a stroll down memory lane, circa Trump Tax cuts, you’ll find some caterwauling. Democrats called them tax cuts for the rich, big business, and promised to roll them back. But Trump’s economy has been better for the Middle Class than Obama or Bush (combined) – and then some.
Math is Hard. It’s Harder if You Support Elizabeth Warren
Most of the Democrats are ga-ga over the newest hip progressive thing. Because that partial takeover called ObamaCare was such a loser. They want a total takeover of health care. No matter how much it costs. Just be sure to tell the Middle Class it won’t cost them a thing.
Trump Economy Generates Record Setting Middle-Class Gains in Income
Remember about 1000 so-called “scandals” ago? When Trump’s tax cuts and his economy were going to help the rich at the expense of the Middle Class. Guess what?
Some Unpleasant Truths About Democrats and “Republican” Tax Reform
The Democrats voted against tax reform. One of the narratives of choice was that the middle-class tax cuts were not permanent.
Democrat congresswoman Kuster’s press release on why she opposed the reforms is typical.
“I support real tax reform that starts with middle-class families and small businesses,” said Congresswoman Kuster. “Unfortunately, the plan forced through Congress by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell is a missed opportunity that overwhelmingly benefits corporate special interests at the expense of the majority of Americans. The fact that provisions for the middle class expire while those for corporate special interests are permanent makes clear Congressional Republicans’ priorities.”
But aren’t Democrats the only reason tax cuts for the middle-class had to expire.
Carol Shea-RUNAWAY!
Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter continues to endear herself to her constituents by running away from questions she has not been taught how to answer. Today’s example comes from Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire…
(Manchester – April 2, 2013) Yesterday afternoon at a local senior center, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01) repeatedly avoided questions on two important issues that, if implemented, would severely impact Granite Staters.
Ask New Hampshire Democrats…About Gas Prices
Nothing says ‘we have no principles whatsoever’ like a crowd of screeching banshees gone silent when the shoe is on the other foot. If you’ve failed to notice, this happens to Democrats often, and no example is more prominent than gas prices.
President Obama’s War on the Rich
I was very pleased to read in Paul Bonneville’s letter of September 5 in the Laconia Daily Sun (and Sept 6 in The Citizen of Laconia) that he is doing better now than four years ago, so few people are doing better. He talks about the stock market “recovery”, of course that only helps if you have money and managed to invest in the right stocks. Perhaps Bonneville is in the 1%?
President Obama’s war on the rich is apparently working as reports are that higher wage incomes are down 15-20 %. Frankly, I don’t see how that helps me, it certainly doesn’t make it easier for me to pay my bills. And, I haven’t figured out why I should be happy that any American is less well off.
Maggie’s World -or- It’s Good to be the Duchess
Democratic candidate for governor, Maggie Hassan, was recently endorsed by New Hampshire’s largest union*, the National Education Association (NEA-NH).
In their press release, the union stated that “Maggie shares our belief that good public schools are the foundation for strong communities and a vibrant economy and that for our students and schools to thrive, we all need to be held accountable — teachers, parents, students and elected officials. She knows that continuing to slash school funding risks losing an entire generation of students who won’t get a second chance…”
Union President, Scott McGilvary, also stated that “it became very apparent that there was one candidate that can stand up for public education and bring us forward and that Maggie Hassan is our candidate.”
Where Diane Lacy, President of NH SEA / SEIU can’t even get simple facts right – and tips hand on the upcoming NH election cycle.
On WMUR “Closeup” this morning, replacement host James Pindell interviewed Diane Lacy, President of the NH State Employee Association and NH Rep. Will Infantine (R-Manchester) during his first segment). Well, during the interview, Ms. Lacy shows that either she has no grasp of real facts or is just what many people believe: that the SEIU is just another name for “Progressive Democrats” in that they just make up facts and say them as truth. And keep repeating them, just like NH Progressive Press Sec. Harrell Kirstein and Uber-Progressive Chair Ray “Buckles” Buckley And are in the tank for Obama, as the national SEIU spent over $70 million, by their own admission, trying to get Obama elected. Lacy concentrated on three things:
- Unions = Middle Class
- Republican supported budget hurts union workers (with an assisted jab question from James Pindell)
- Speaker Bill O’Brien is a Free Stater
- In fact, NH is overrun by Free Staters (and she has no clue who or how many)!
- She is making the wedge appeal to the RINOs for support with “hey, THOSE Republicans are not like you – support us!”
- But she’ll replace those RINOS with union members who will be running for election.
- And kinda mumbled something that without automatic union due deductions from union member paychecks, e-commerce in NH is dead.
Like this first statement by Diane Lacy:
“Middle Class is under attack here in NH and the way to get to the Middle Class is by taking away their rights.”
This is getting to be old, but let’s walk through this, shall we?
Show me the Tax cut
All those years of left wing class warfare about cuts for the rich but none for the rest of us we’re liberal lies. Plain and simple. You can’t extend something that does not exist.
