All we keep hearing on the Left is that the Middle Class has been taking it on the chops. Well, guess who has been doing that lately? Yes, the Left. Kill off thousands of union jobs, President Asterisk did by killing off the XL Pipeline. And not just THOSE jobs building and running it but the jobs-never-created from its providing lower cost energy and feed stock for other products. Regards of “good intentions”, Progressives can’t legislate away the basic laws of economics: supply, demand, and cost. Artificially raise the cost, demand goes down and so, too, the jobs needed to supply that demand.
Look at the above chart but read it from bottom right to top right. It’s clear, the “Poor” left being poor and joined the Middle Class. That’s a good thing! Doing the comparison back to the left side, it is clear that the Poor improved their lot in life – our economy got better for them and there were less Poor people, especially during the Trump years.
Going left side, it is clear that an 11% drop in the number of Poor is good. Doing that same comparison, right side to left side, of the Middle Class MIGHT have you thinking “uh-oh, it got smaller – NOT a good thing”. Doing a casual look-see would give rise to the immediate thought that the Middle Class shrunk by over 13%. But you’d be wrong.
Yes, it shrunk – but they didn’t drop down to Poor as that percentage went down as well.
Only possible reason is that the Middle Class moved UP! Again, especially during the Trump years. Left side said that under 10% of the US population was “Rich” – now it is almost 35% – an increase getting close to 300% more.
Poor went down percentage wise, Middle Class wend down 13%, Rich went up to 1/3 of the US population.
What a country!
Now we wait for Bernie-Bro Bruce to try to spin this….
