Eric Holder Flips on Out-Of-State Student License and Vehicle Registration Comments.

From the Concord Monitor. Mr. Holder Clarifies his clarification.

“My comments were intended to support the right of domiciled students to vote in the state of New Hampshire as long as they comply with existing law,” Holder said. “In no way should they be viewed as supporting any proposal that would make it harder for students to exercise their right to join in the Granite State’s electoral process.”

We reported yesterday on the original clarification in which he stated that Student’s should register cars in the Granite State and get a New Hampshire license. He has now backtracked to the State Demo Party Default answer that this is bad.

Eric Holder: Out-Of-State Students Should Get a NH Driver’s License

Speaking to Democrats at Saint Anselm College on Friday, Former US Attorney General Eric Holder said Students who want to vote in New Hampshire get a NH Driver’ License and register their cars.

“If you are gonna be considered a resident of this state so you can vote, that means that you have to follow all the other residency requirements that any other citizen would have to comply with,” Holder told reporters. “If you are a New Hampshire resident you have to do a variety of things, and if you’re a college student and a resident, you should have to do the same things.”

With few exceptions, the progressive liberal Democrats would love to have a law just like this in New Hampshire.

Homeschooling was made illegal in the country in 1938 (…) and the law has never been repealed, but rather strengthened. In 2007, the German Supreme Court ruled that the country’s mandate that children be sent to public school is necessary to “counteract the development of religious and philosophically motivated parallel societies.”

Sitting here, watching the 13th hour of Rand Paul’s Senate filibuster, I see a lot of angst on Twitter about Senator Kelly Ayotte’s conspicuous absence from the #StandWithRand party in the US Capitol.

Now, I wasn’t able to watch the entire event, so I am not sure if Kelly showed up earlier to add her input. However, her absence, immediately following her “Cool Kid” dinner this evening with Obama at the swanky Jefferson hotel, is certainly concerning.

The Univison interview of Barack Uh..Um..Er..Oh..Bama will go down in history as perhaps the first time Barack Obama has had to face tough questions, as president, from the media. This is in part because the media loves him, and in part due to the administrations ability to use that love-affair to control the message, by controlling the questions. So did the Obama cabal just assume Univision was safe territory? It wasn’t.

The interviewers asked hard questions and had no patience for all the side-stepping and posturing, summed up in the quest to understand how, having complete control of congress and the White House for two years, they completely ignored immigration policy. Democrats did on all counts, ignore it. Obama tried to blame Republicans.

Obama also tried to blame Bush for Fast and Furious but previous similar programs were canceled by Bush becasue they didn’t work. ABC news is first out of the gate to call Obama out on it.

One Holder DoJ Witch Hunt Comes To A Close

Sheriff Joe Arpaio went after local corruption, and thumbed his nose at the Feds, so they tried to make an example of him. But if there is a Joe you don’t mess with it’s the Sheriff of Maricopa county Arizona.

The DOJ initiated a number of investigations from abuse of power to charges of the Sheriff’s office misusing credit cards. The end result?

All charges dropped. And the local US Attorney…even she appears to be trying to back away from the whole thing.

Holder in Contempt

The other ‘big’ story from yesterday was the House vote to hold Attorney General Eric “Guns” Holder in contempt of the House. He was and is in contempt.

The left, lead by Nancy Pelosi, continued to spin it as a partisan political stunt, though coming from her that means nothing. Democrats are committed to making everything “political” so that they can control it with legislation, or use it to construct narratives, or rhetoric. And under no circumstances should they step aside in the face of corruption or incompetence–how could they that is how they govern.

So we get to play this game where Democrats lie and hope it all just goes away.

But the facts are not in dispute.

Attorney General Eric Holder: formerly of Covington and Burling law firm, Holder has represented the Big Banks, such as UBS and MBNA Bank. Holder was Barack Obama’s campaign co-chairman and raised $50,000 for the president’s campaign.
Associate Attorney General Thomas Perrelli: a managing partner at Jenner and Block law firm whose clients include Merrill Lynch, Perrelli stepped down from his number three position at DOJ in March. A former member of Obama’s National Campaign Finance Committee, Perrelli has bagged $500,000 in campaign contributions.
