One of the smartest things Senator Judd Gregg probably ever did was to not take the job as Obama’s Commerce secretary. But the seat warmer who succeeded the original seat warmer Obama settled on for Commerce is having some issues. The Joe Biden’s driver variety of problem; he was just arrested for Felony hit and run.
(Honestly, who in the Obama Administration couldn’t be arrested for multiple hit and runs on the US economy? Seriously.)
John Bryson has found himself on the wrong end of three hit and runs in the same day. There is speculation of health issues, and if true we hope the Secretary finds himself well, but drugs or alcohol have not been ruled out. But whether for health or optics, Bryson may need to step aside, meaning Obama would need to suggest a replacement. And I have a suggestion.
Boo Hoo Hamsters infamous left-winger JohnnyBBad already has a history of barely being able to control the urge to hit and run. He is on the record wanting very badly to run down Republican House Speaker Bill O’Brien. (Contrary to NH Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s invocation that incivility is not the New Hampshire way.) But given the rouges gallery of communists, Truthers, Marxists, Union Thugs and other assorted progressive bilge filling up or wandering through the West Wing of the White House how hard could it be for an anonymous commenter from an obscure left wing blog site to warm that seat? And he has (as far as we know) manged to not hit anyone yet.
Besides…the administration has probably delegated all the real work to Czars and hangers on already (one reason why Gregg turned down the post way back when) and to be honest, most of Obama’s policies are designed to bring commerce to a halt anyway so why would you need a hands on commerce secretary except to perform last rights?
