Nebraska held its primary a couple of days ago (May 14th). Don Bacon … a RINO’s RINO … won his primary against a MAGA challenger overwhelmingly. Trump won Nebraska in 2020 by nearly TWENTY points.

No … You Are NOT A Political Activist
IF you consider yourself a political activist … then there is a thread on X from Jesse Kelly that is a MUST-READ. But let’s start with me, okay? Am I a political activist? NO. Writing posts for GraniteGrok does NOT make me a political activist. It makes me a political commentator (the dysfunctional NHGOP would probably use gadfly instead of commentator). But it does NOT make me an activist.
Not Possible To Fix The Problem (Blue Hampshire) … If You Don’t Understand (Or Refuse To Accept) The Cause Of The Problem
I recently posted Edelblut’s Decision Not To Run For Governor Reflects The Reality Of Blue Hampshire … which makes the, in my opinion, undeniable and unremarkable observation that New Hampshire has become and will remain for some time a BLUE STATE. Unsurprisingly, one of the commentators suggested that there is an immediate, easy fix … … Read more
Trump Visits New Hampshire And … Humiliates Sun-King Sununu
Even that Establishment-mouthpiece Michael Graham has been forced to admit what I have been saying for a long, long time. Sun-King Chris Sununu is running a make-believe, look-at-me, look-at-me, everybody-look-at-me “Presidential campaign” … a dishonest, shallow exercise in narcissism. From “journalist” Mikey Graham: “Being anti-Trump isn’t necessarily a problem, if you’re out backing that up … Read more
The Ghost Of New Hampshire Future Visited On February 23rd
Are you aware that the Communists … oh, I’m sorry, we’re supposed to pretend that they’re still Democrats … took control of the New Hampshire House for a period of time on February 23rd thanks to NHGOP no-shows? From Judy Aron: … On Thursday afternoon the House got its first real taste, this session, of what … Read more
It’s Not Just The House NHGOP Making New Hampshire BLUER … The Senate NHGOP Is Too
Remember way back when Obamacare was passed? The GOP said they opposed it … would replace it … REPEAL AND REPLACE!!! … yet another damn lie from the GOP Establishment. Hat tip to my dear friend Mikey Graham at NH-NeverTrump Journal for a post he’s got up about the NHGOP Senate’s push to make OBAMACARE … Read more
Blue Wave Continues To Wash Over New Hampshire
Well … the NHGOP has lost ANOTHER House election … to another extremist. I am sure the bitter-clingers are in full denial mode … the Democrat was the incumbent … Democrats always do better in special elections; means absolutely nothing … Democrats always do better in cities … we were outspent … we still have … Read more
Sun-King Sununu Really Had Only Two Jobs … And He Failed At Both
If you ask a Koch-bot/Sununu-sycophant what was the most important thing for Sun-King to do as Governor, it’s a good bet that the response would be … CUT BUSINESS TAXES. Wrong … wrong … wrong … wrong … wrong … wrong. When Chris Pappas becomes Governor in 2024 along with a Democrat legislature … those … Read more
What A Difference A Decade Makes …
Dear bitter-clingers, remember the midterm results in 2010? Let me refresh your memory … the GOP won 298 seats in the New Hampshire House. The political macro-environment was at least as favorable to Republicans in 2022 as it was in 2010 … indeed, it was arguably MORE favorable. Yet in 2022 the GOP lost seats, … Read more
Boo Hoo Hamster Can Finally Write Something about the DOJ – AP Story
Last night Skip observed that the progressive mouthpiece for the Democrat blogosphere in New Hampshire (Bleu Hampshire) had been awfully quiet given all the newsy tid-bits peppering the interwebs. Nothing to report on Benghazi, The IRS, HHS, DOJ seizing AP phone records, dead Americans, failed Middle East policy…nothing.
But there is good news. Blue Hamster has leave to react to at least one of the recent scandals…
The Soros funded, highly political (non-profit) Media Matters, has release instructions on how the Democrats should respond with regard to the Obama-DOJ seizing two months worth of phone records from the AP. (I have included them on the jump so that you wont have to be bothered with visiting their site to find out what they have been told to think.)
Blue Hampshire Hits Reset Button on Democrat Cynthia Chase?

ALG’s Daily Grind at Net Right Daily is reporting the rantings of New Hampshire Democrat Cynthia Chase…with a Tweest! OK, it’s actually an update.
The blog post from Rep. Cynthia Chase has been pulled down. In fact the whole website, BlueHampshire.com was completely reset today just as light was being shed on the questionable blog post from Cynthia Chase. Convenient. Fortunately, we have the cached version of her post so that her words will forever be documented on the world wide web.
(emphasis mine)
How convenient, indeed.
I wonder what else went missing from the keyboard of the progressive Democrat Cynthia “I moved here from Rhode Island” Chase?
Whatsa matta John DiStaso, don’t like the ‘Grok much?
“As New Hampshirite Steve MacDonald notes, “this sounds like tyranny.”
Given that Rush Limbaugh brought up NH Democrat House Rep Cynthia Chase’s name (AND STEVE MAC DONALDS!!) this past Friday, it was expected that the local NH media would be FORCED to also give a few column inches as well. And DiStaso of the UL does so (reformatted and emphasis mine) – reluctantly. But guess who he left out?
FRIDAY, JAN. 4: GOING VIRAL. A Democratic state lawmaker’s recent web post critical of the libertarian-leaning Free State Project has gone virtually viral in the past few days and, as one might expect, has drawn criticism. Reacting to reports that the Free State Project is aggressively trying to bring 20,000 supporters to live in the state over the next two years, Rep. Cynthia Chase, D-Keene, wrote on BlueHampshire.com: “In the opinion of this Democrat, Free Staters are the single biggest threat the state is facing today.”
She went on to write that while there is “legally, nothing we can do to prevent them from moving here to take over the state, which is their openly stated goal,” she proposed making “the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave.”
Chase continued, “One way is to pass measures that will restrict the ‘freedoms’ that they think they will find here. Another is to shine the bright light of publicity on who they are and why they are coming.”
…The post this week was picked up by the Breitbart.com website, the creation of the late conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart, with columnist Warner Todd Huston opining:
Warner – a long time Samsphere blogger buddy of mine – got the story from GraniteGrok which he reads often as we are the leading Conservative / Libertarian leaning blogsite in NH. He and I think a lot of like, and he likes what we do, commenting on local politics. Anyway, see these next lines from DiStaso’s post quoting Warner’s?
Yo, elwood from Blue Hampshire! You’re thinking Communist/Socialism – but you forgot that OTHER political system
Either elwood, over at the Boo-Hoo Hamsters (aka Blue Hampshire), either is not conversant with the various political systems or dares not bring up that which really describes what is going on here in America – and one which Maggie “The Red” Hassan literally tried to do legislatively. He’s whining about a statement from Charlie Bass:
He is running ads claiming that Annie Kuster, who supports the Affordable Care Act, is endorsing a “government takeover of health care.”
Far be it for me to defend good ole’ self-described Progressive Republican Charlie Bass – I’m not going to even paper veneer anything positive for him given that he LIED about only running one more time – and now he’s running again. A pox on his political future (which may well happen this time around). However, that aside, elwood is STILL wrong:
Not zookeeper – that would have meant Gov. Lynch could actually do something other than just being in the Corner.
Blue Hampshire is really starting to moan and groan: We have seen over the past two years that the Governor’s role is often that of zookeeper The past two years: republican super-majority in the NH House. Republican super-majority in the NH Senate. Republican super-majority on the NH Executive Council. Gov. John “Do Nuthin” Lynch only … Read more
Standing in Line to Vote is A Form of Vote Suppression or Intimidation?
(I just posted this as a comment on Tom’s post…but you know what? It’s good enough for it’s own post, with a twist!) Hey. Bleu Hamsters? Did you know that there are less than 800,000 registered voters in NH but over 900,000 issued drivers licenses? Hey. Boo Hoo Hamasters. Did you know that Federal law … Read more
Which is worse – less support for TEA Party or the public seeing Occupy Wall Street as a public nuisance?
William Tucker over at Boo-hoo Hampsters is trying to make the case that the TEA Party is done and going (to which I have some remarks here):
An NBC News/Marist poll released late Friday showed that for the first time, 53 percent of likely Republican primary voters said they are not supporters of the tea party, while 40 percent said they are supporters and seven percent were unsure.
OK, given the rain of call of “extremists!” (er, simply for wanting to actually following our Constitutions??) by the Progressives / Liberals / Democrats, I could see where there was some erosion of support. But given that self-identifying Liberals only make up 20% of the population and self-identifying Conservatives has been climbing to now reach 40%, I’ll take that!
2012 NH Governor Race – Maggie Hassan calls the opposition “extremists”
A friend of mine sent me this email missive from Maggie Hassan (candidate for the Democrat nomination for NH Governor):
Dear Friend,
After watching the GOP Primary, I got tense thinking about all of the damage some of these candidates could do to progressive causes and values across the country.
That’s why we need President Obama to stand strong.
At home, progressive values face the most serious threat in years. We need to stand strong right now as well. Please support our campaign financially today to make sure we stand strong as Granite Staters.
If Bill O’Brien and his extremist friends control all three branches of our government there is no telling the amount of damage they could do. Consider, they have already:
- Overriden the Governor’s veto to allow parents to opt their child out of ANY public school class if they don’t like the material that is being taught for ANY reason
- Tried to repeal the law that protects our environment and limits the impact of greenhouse gases across all of New England
- Tried to repeal public employee collective bargaining rights and passed so-called “right to work” legislation.
- Organized to repeal marriage equality.
- Tried to repeal kindergarten and compulsory education altogether.
- Repealed the minimum wage.
- Cut cigarette taxes.
- Canceled the state’s contract with Planned Parenthood for birth control.
Extremist? Really? Now, as I said here, I’m willing to talk with anyone, including Progressive Democrats – and be nice too! But really – extremist? Of course I have some thoughts….
What “The Grok” & “Blue Hampshire” Had In Common
Sharing the “indiscretions” of the opposing party are the foundation of blogging and, in fact, politics in general. Not sharing them, when they occur among your own party leadership, members, supporters, or factions your leadership have embraced, might be construed as bias or hypocrisy.
Case in Point: The criminal elements among the #Occupy movement, a movement that the left and its leaders (even some libertarians) had quickly embraced, have been summarily ignored by both local and national Democrat party blame-stormers, including the case of Justina Jensen who was arrested for trying to pimp a 16 year old girl she met at #Occupy Manchester as an on-line teenage prostitute.
Dean “Bob” Barker climbs off the Hamster
Dean ‘Bob’ Barker will no longer be handling the day to day duties at Boo Hoo Hamster so we are left to wonder whose job it will be to decide what hate and threats should stay up as representative of free speech and what should be taken down as free speech that is more trouble than it is worth. So many qualified people to choose from for that job…
