Boo Hoo Hamster Can Finally Write Something about the DOJ – AP Story

Last night Skip observed that the progressive mouthpiece for the Democrat blogosphere in New Hampshire (Bleu Hampshire) had been awfully quiet given all the newsy tid-bits peppering the interwebs.  Nothing to report on Benghazi, The IRS, HHS, DOJ seizing AP phone records, dead Americans, failed Middle East policy…nothing.

But there is good news. Blue Hamster has leave to react to at least one of the recent scandals…

The Soros funded, highly political (non-profit) Media Matters, has release instructions on how the Democrats should respond with regard to the Obama-DOJ seizing two months worth of phone records from the AP.  (I have included them on the jump so that you wont have to be bothered with visiting their site to find out what they have been told to think.)

KEY ISSUES TO RAISE

•If the press compromised active counter-terror operations for a story that only tipped off the terrorists, that sounds like it should be investigated.

•It was not acceptable when the Bush Administration exposed Valerie Plame working undercover to stop terrorists from attacking us. It is not acceptable when anonymous sources do it either.

•Is this story about a government source blowing the whistle on government misbehavior, or about a source gratuitously exposing ongoing counter-terrorism operations?

•Did Republicans in Congress who are now exploiting the situation to score political points oppose the media shield law that likely would have protected the Associated Press in this situation?

•How should the Justice Department strike the balance between respecting our free press and investigating damaging leaks that jeopardize counter-terrorism operations?

Plame was not a reporter being spied on by Bush but even if she was Democrats love it when anyone leaks national security secrets to smear Republicans so this is quite amusing.   The press, during Bush, leaked as a matter of policy and the left loved it.

Remember: when it is done to a Republican or Republican administration it is speaking truth to power.  It is not just your responsibility, it is your duty to leak.  When you do it to Obama, the non-partisan, non-profit Media Matters curses the first amendment and freedom of the press.   it is only free speech when it is approved speech, which Media Matters has now provided for our Liberal friends.

So look for these talking points to scratch their way onto the web as if they occurred naturally in the minds of lefty bloggers, available soon at a progressive propaganda dispenser near you.  Or in our case, Boo Hoo Hamster.
