June was a bust, and July is not helping if you NOAA what I mean. Hurricane activity so far – considering all the hyperbolic ranting about global warming and super-heated oceans, has been sparse. A handful of ‘disturbances,’ no hurricanes, and only two tropical storms, neither of which has amounted to anything.
We’ve had three named storms in June. Arlene and Bret didn’t get very far, and while Cindy managed to rise to the level of a Tropical storm, she gave up a few days ago just north of the Dominican Republic.
We spent a good bit of energy focusing on the 2022 hurricane season in part becasue the experts said it would be above average. Regular readers will know they were wrong. It was below average. But now we know how far below.
If you recall, way back in February, the shamans and witchdoctors at NOAA – revered by the Climate Cult for their computer modeling wisdom – predicted a busier-than-normal Atlantic hurricane season for 2022. It wasn’t even just below average.
NOAA, the experts who completely botched the 2022 hurricane forecast, have consulted the goat entrails and announced their winter predictions for the United States. If you live in the Northeast, they say it will be a warmer, dryer winter. Can we believe them?

It’s official. The 2022 hurricane prediction season is a bust. With only a few weeks left in October (November hurricanes are rare), there is nothing to see here. And I mean nothing.

The left is promising that they can stop Hurricanes or something, but that’s not even close to true for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is they (and their experts) can’t even tell us where one will be three days from now.
The first major hurricane landfall of 2022 is upon us, and Ian is heading right toward the throat of Tampa Bay. I spent a good deal of time there growing up. My parents like to vacation in the area. Everything is on sand up to the water’s edge, so they’re screwed.

Search ‘Hurricane Season,’ and you’ll get battered with fainting-couch headlines like, record-breaking and relentless. What you need to know is that they left out the word bullish!t. They mean record-breaking, relentless Bullsh!t.
Because there is nothing more pressing for Democrats to do in the US House, they are opening another investigation. Who pressured NOAA to back the President on whether Hurricane Dorian was headed toward Alabama?
First things first. A storm like this is an impressive natural display. There will be significant damage. But we must also remember that in 1900, when we started having reliable data, 1700 people lived in Miami. Today it is 2.7 Million. And all their stuff.
These hyperbolic media pronouncements are getting out of hand. Don’t ask how I ended up there but the MSN headline reads: Bomb Cyclone Hits Central US with Blizzard and Fierce Winds. If you click it, and who wouldn’t (cuz’ that’s the point) there’s a USA Today article.
