Are Hodes And Shea-Porter on the Communist Payroll?

A prominent talk radio host brings up an interesting point.  The democrats have spent trillions in the past two years, driving the deficit over 3.5 Trillion (from that irresponsible 400 Billion Bush left behind) with roughly a trillion of that money borrowed from the Chinese government.  That’s a trillion sent to the US treasury, which … Read more

Sporting The Double Standard

Poor taste by associations is suitable grist for the mill so why not ask whether it is appropriate for a government union in a low budget, online political ad to place the pictures of prominent Republicans in an animated grandstand labeled ‘Teabagger’s section?"

That is what the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) has done.  (Aside from producing what may be the lowest budget ad I have ever seen.)  So would this classify as a crime under the Matthew Shepherd/Pentagon Funding Hate crimes legislation?  I mean, this should be insulting to the homosexual community, to have their civil right to ‘Tea-Bag’ ridiculed this way by associating it with evil, right wing, free market hatemongers. And since when is Mike Steele in the Tea Party? He’s not. So are they saying he is a homosexual? What are they trying to say?

And what about the association part?  The  AFGE donated $10,000.00 dollars to Paul Hodes and $3,000.00 to Carol Shea-Porter, and that just doesn’t seem right.  Isn’t Carol the one that actually used the word Teabagger in a sentence? Or did Paul Hodes say it alot when he blew off critical House Votes to hang out at NetRoots?  Either way, taking money from a Government union funded by taxpayer dollars, that spreads bigotry, hate and division…

THat says alot about you as a politician..unless you are a hypocrat.

I wonder if we could make a similar animated ad with Ray Buckley and Jim Splaine, and a few others in it, sitting in a grandstand, with a big banner over their heads proclaiming it the "Teabagger section?"

Carol could come out and call them teabaggers, and everyone would giggle…

Probably not?

That sounds like a double standard though doesn’t it?

This ridiculously bad ad is on the jump.

Hodes’ Foreign Money

But since the democrats are actually getting more foreign money than Republicans already, (here) would it matter if Paul Hodes had taken money from PAC’s with foreign donors directly into his campaign? He’d be spending it right here in New Hampshire to, how did he phrase it? affect local elections.

Notable Quote – NJ Gov. Chris Christie

Voters are willing to accept the political pain of deep cuts in government spending as long as they know the pain is being spread equally, Christie argued. It makes sense to shrink government in tough economic times, and politicians seem to be the last to get that message, he said. “We lost our way a … Read more

And just so that the Hatin’ Dems won’t feel left out….

"you know how that sumbitch lies" … After all, hate is an all encompassing emotion.  But here’s ONE Democrat that is actually LAUGHING over it: That would be the DEMOCRAT Libby Mitchell, running to be Maine’s next Governor, LAUGHING at the idea of casting President Bush as a terrorist. Yeah.  Not exactly "that lovin’ feeling", … Read more

Muslim Brotherhood Declares War on US

Michael Totten at PJM points us to an article by Barry Rubin at Global Research in International Affairs in which Rubin alerts us that the newly elected leader of the Muslim Brotherhood has just endorsed a full blown Anti-American Jihad. Rubin explains the serious business that this is, with all the relevant consideration, but sums … Read more

Not Even A Passable Fraud

Matt has a nice post up at Red Hampshire revealing the disconnect between reality and the fantasy of Paul Hodes.  He provides us with a mid-debate tweet from the Hodes campaign…

…and then offers us the evidence that Hodes is lying about it by posting the AFT press release refuting Hodes.

This is all fine for what it is worth.   But what interests me more is that this tweet contradicts his own campaign focus and reveals the fundamental flaws of a liberal democrat like Paul Hodes.  These are not the words of any fiscal conservative I know.

notable Quote – P.J. O’Rourke

On Conservatives and Libertarians: Well, I think that the general philosophical divide between Libertarians and conservatives is the conservatives tend to rely on tradition, sort of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. And if it’s only a little broke, be careful of the fixing you do lest you make the problem worse. conservatives say … Read more

Fire and Brimstone…and a lot of whining, coming our way

Is this guy REALLY the President of the United States?  He must have gone off the teleprompter for a few minutes, because he started to go all "preacher and hipster" on the audience, throwing good grammar and a focused message out the window.  You can really hear it when he goes there. Ok, now that I’ve … Read more

“Buy locally” – A plea in my local paper.

There was this article in one of my local papers (Laconia Citizen) from a local shopkeeper imploring the local residents to buy from local businesses:

If Lakes Region residents devoted only 10 percent of their shopping to local businesses, it would benefit not only the region, but themselves in the long run, an noted author and expert on local economies told an audience Wednesday….

Hamel explained that a big problem in the economy is people not spending locally, but rather at "big box chain stores," and buying on the Internet…

Hammel said that with large corporations building chain businesses, they are essentially "stealing from local economy" by making consumers think that their money is being spent locally when it isn’t. He said if people shopped just a little more at the local level, it can make a big difference…

…Local business owners Randy and Sue Bullerwell, who also started BIBA, own All My Life Jewelers and they said they were forced to close their second shop, String ‘Em Up Bead Shop, because they were losing business to the Internet and larger chain jewelry stores.

"We got sick and tired of people saying what they bought online," said Randy. "It wasn’t helping our businesses and it wasn’t helping the area."

"We had two businesses downtown and because people don’t shop locally, we have one now," said Sue.

The phrase "stealing from the local economy" really struck me – do local businesses have a right to claim a profit first from the local population before the "big box stores"?  If I spend at a Lowe’s or a Shaws, am I now participating in a "capitalist crime"?

Last time I looked, commerce in our capitalistic society is a voluntary decision –  a price determines whether or not I shall buy an item or service  and a vendor will sell. It shows…

Hodespocrisy –‘Chamber Of Commerce’ Edition

Uh....Paul Hodes gets an ‘A+’ for toeing the Pelosi/Obama Party line, and a least an ‘A’ for recycling the party talking points.  For example, Barack Obama has been wandering around claiming the Chamber of Commerce is using foreign money to affect local elections.  Paul Hodes has been wandering around New Hampshire saying the exact same thing.

Obama

“Just this week, we learned that one of the largest groups paying for these ads regularly takes in money from foreign corporations,” Mr. Obama said. “So groups that receive foreign money are spending huge sums to influence American elections.”

Hodes-From Roll Call

“It could very well be that foreign money’s coming in to try to trample the voice of democracy,” Hodes said. “That’s a sad state of affairs.”

Hodes-again

"… there are reports that the Chamber of Commerce is using money from foreign companies to influence New Hampshire elections."

I asked Hodes Lie-deflector Mark Bergman to show us the reports.  I guess Mark isn’t reading my blog, or he simply has no proof, but I know why he has no proof.

Data point – what teachers really make as public sector workers

At least in Illinois – your state may vary, but I bet that it isn’t all that much variance. The average teacher in the state of Illinois makes $61,402. Illinois teachers work around 176 days, 300 minutes, or 5 hours, per day.  That’s just over 35 weeks per year.  On average, they make $348.88 per … Read more

Evil Chamber Of Horrors….I mean Commerce.

The lies and hypocrisy continue, and this time we have video proof that Paul Hodes is not even an independent thinker–forget an independent voice. Left wing bullet point: Chamber of Commerce.  Hodes keeps talking it up, so we know he’s still tied to the liberal/socialist, tax and spend feeding tube.  Not that we ever doubted … Read more

Hey Hodes Campaign- Choke On This!

Since it’s so darn important, just how much money from entities who have donors with foreign interests has poured into US political campaigns in 2010? I LIKED! this quip!

The Obama Administration: All the charm of Nixon and the effectiveness of Carter. Yup, it fits.  I’m done.

Oh Goody…”creeping inflation”

From the Business Insider: But trouble is looming. Commodities are heading up. Rents are heading up. And quietly capacity utilization is heading up. That means that the slack in the economy is disappearing, and as Morgan Stanley notes, a hike in the CPI can’t be far behind. When this happens, Bernanke will be in a … Read more

Notable Quote – Dr. Dan Benishek

The National Mall and surrounding monuments to great Americans and this nation’s honored war dead were left trashed. Yes, literally, and there are pictures proving  the disregard and callous treatment of treasured American monuments.
