The Global Warming Fraud, Part CLXXVIII

Could it be that the trillions of dollars that governments have—either taken forcibly from working people or created out of thin air—when used to buy allegiance and subservience, might have some effect on "truth"? Does the notion of "truth"—or "justice" or even simple "decency"—have any meaning today, in the face of pervasive, unending, systemic governmental corruption in Washington, DC?

Destroying The Future Of America

Image Credit: Mattox Firearms school.comDemocrats continue to insist that they created jobs.  To do this they extracted trillions from our economic future in an effort to create jobs that did not yet exist–that perhaps were  not needed yet.  Looking at similar exercises, cash for clunkers–which moved car sales forward a few months but has since resulted in a collapse in the market; the home mortgage bail outs, supports, credits, and the "home affordable" programs which improved home sales briefly but which have since collapsed (also to historic lows); and then there’s the stimulus, several public sector employee bailouts, bank lending infusions, small business bills, and everything in between including health care reform–many trillions spent, all made with claims that they would create, save, or incentivize job creation.

Lets concede the possibility that some jobs were saved or created with money from the future.  Let’s also, for academic purposes,  concede the number of 1.4 million-3.3 million jobs saved or created ( quote from Paul Hodes campaign if that matters).  What happens now?  Even if we can agree to these figures the mathematical reality is that despite these efforts, and at great expense, we still lost more jobs than we saved or created.  Millions are still unemployed with hundreds of thousands more people working less, working shorter hours, or who have given up looking altogether just in the 12 months since someone declared the recession over.  We got a net sum loss with the price of admission, and that debt is now looming over our ability to sustain or improve the job picture moving forward because of the Faustian fiscal political calculation the democrats made in what now appears to be a series of vote getting scams gone horribly wrong.

So, Mike Kitch – is the evidence starting to add up fer ya yet?

That would be Mike Kitch of the Laconia Daily Sun who took great exception to a Notable Quote I put up some time ago:

From that moment on, the majority (who vote) will vote for those candidates promising the greatest benefits from the public purse, with the result that a democracy will always collapse from loose fiscal policies, always followed by a dictatorship."

At the time, we "had words", because of his absolute assumption that because it had never happened in the past, it was impossible to see that happen in the future. Well, dude, start reaching for your salt, because unless something drastic happens, you will be eating your words.  With Obama doubling the level of where poverty benefits kick in (from 100% to 200% of the poverty level, more and more will come to be more dependent upon government – and that will turn into entitlement.  As I have said before, Kitch is fine with the taking of money from the prudent and giving it to the profligate – after all, they NEED it more than we do (shades of Atlas Shrugs!).

But it is not just those in poverty that can vote and vote for more and more benefits (and with the US at the tipping point of almost 50% of the population receiving some sort of public dole) – there is another growing constituency that is aligned with that group.

It seems that others have recognized that special interests, in a coordinated fashion, of plundering the public treasuries (city, state, and national), as this article from the Washington Examiner points out:

Obama’s ascendance was no anomaly, but testament to the rise of a powerful political coalition in America made up of those who benefit from expanding government, including public-sector employees and their unions; activists at organizations that survive on government money; and recipients of government benefits.

Obama’s election in 2008 was merely the clearest indicator of the extent to which this coalition has successfully amassed power in the last 50 years.

Indeed. And I watched that here in Belknap County when the Commissioners, trying to be frugal, cut the budgets of these "outside agencies" – and holy hell descended upon those Commissioners at a meeting where the "gimme groups" all gnashed and wailed.  Result: the feckless Republicans who controlled the "County Delegation" made sure that the money was put back in.  Way to go for the brand, duds!

Greene Shaheen, Carol CO2-Porter, and Paul ‘Carbon Credits’ Hodes, all support massive taxation on emissions because without them, we are doomed…doomed I tell you DOOMED!  So doomed that  Hodes and Porter at least, voted for a remedy that doesn’t do anything except make energy cost more while enriching energy companies, corporate farms, green energy companies in China, themselves, and the government.  But they insist it’s to save the earth.

Hey, New Hampshire Democrat Chair Ray Buckley – with all of the companies now announcing that they are dropping or radically (HOW appropo a word!) altering their health benefits because of Obamacare – wouldn’t you agree that Progressive President Barack Hussein Obama did not tell the American people the truth?  I can tell you that Obama’s Change has hit my family already on this point – already, doctors that were the family’s doctor are no longer.

Part of being "civil" is telling the truth – and calling a person out when they don’t tell such.  Obama made a Guarantee – tell me, Mr. Buckley, how do the Democrats plan on honoring that?

November is coming – will Obama be a 2 year lame duck President? And will Ray Buckley really be returned to a minor role here in NH with the coming political tsunami washing over him and his Party?

Obama’s unemployment rate

The latest numbers are out, and so is the use of the word "Unexpected" with an official unemployment rate of 9.6%.  After how much of Stimulus?

Lots of people will blame President Obama and certainly, he deserves all of the blame and shame that comes with seeking, winning, and using the Office of the Presidency in implementing his set of economic policies. Remember, however, that Democrats have controlled both the US House and the US Senate since 2006 – 4 years.  It is the US House that actually comes up with the tax and spend bills (although the Senate also votes on it and the President gets his say with either his signature or veto).

Thus, here in NH, we get to blame our US House Representatives (that would be Carol Shea-Porter and Paul Hodes) and our US Senator (Jeanne Shaheen) that voted for these economic policies.  Thus, they share in this result NO, THEY OWN THIS RESULT:

What does it mean?  The worst unemployment picture EVAH.  Sure, President Bush started the ball rolling along with the Republicans that voted for his policies at the end of his term.  In effect, it has shown that Government control of the economy with Progressive fundamentals (like Pelosi’s insistence that unemployment checks and food stamps are the biggest boost one can give to an economy).

Data point – So, Hodes and Shea-Porter, not giving Obama his desired tax hikes will result in utter despair?

The only gnashing of teeth will come from the Socialist Progressives / Statists that will be denied what is essentially a dime more for spending and more control.  Remember, the Bush tax cuts were back in 2001 and 2003 – once again, the Progressives are trying to redefine our vocabulary – at what point does "repeal" no longer apply?  Obama wants to raise marginal tax rates, he raises taxes for ALL of us.  But does it really matter – or is this Obama further fundamentally transforming America "for fairness"?

MooCarol Seiu-Porter gets 50% of her PAC money from Unions.  You remember the Unions?  Their leadership extorts taxpayer dollars away from the real workers to pay union employees then demands that they tithe  money to them for the privilege of doing it again.  Then they give some of it to Carol so she can help protect their interests.

That’s hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars filtered through union employees to a candidate they might not even support.

Carol also gets another 48% from congressional PAC’s, most of whom are heavily funded by unions.  These are congresspersons–some of them avowed socialists–who like Carol see no problem in giving the public sector employees more feed than those who work to feed them.

In exchange for that money Carol supports everything the unions want whether it is good for New Hampshire or not.  She loves their golden goose, card check, which would eliminate the secret ballot for organizing a union.  It allows unions to strong arm people into joining.  Unions do still do that.  Ask her AFL-CIO Buddy Richard Trumka. Hey, Hodes Campaign! Riddle Me This…

The larger problem for Mr. Bergman is this; if in fact, he has evidence to prove his otherwise vague remarks, he might be subject to investigation for violating federal law himself by obstructing, concealing, or failing to promptly report legitimate violations of federal election law.

Shea-Porter has amended 27 Seperate FEC filings.

If FEC disclosure amendments are really that big a deal, then why are we not discussing the fact that Carol Shea-Porter has had to amend her FEC filings 27 times. That’s one filing amended for ever 1.6 months in office. Is she that sloppy? Maybe she took advice from Nancy Pelosi instead of reading the filing rules herself –we know she’ not very good at reading things.

The Burden on Conservatives…

Sometime in the future, we will look back at the mid-term election of 2010, fully comprehending the significance of the year that led up to this one election, the election itself, and the 2 years that followed.  As we do to our founding generation and their revolutionary period, future generations will judge us by how we performed across these three dimensions.

The Federal Government has been usurping the power of the States, and the People, for over 90 years, particularly during the past 50, especially in the past 10, and painfully within the past 2.  The people can, and rightfully should, send a clear message, at both State and Federal levels, that we have had…quite enough.

The majority of Americans are against unconstitutional nationalized healthcare.  The majority of Americans do not want the government bailing-out, taking over, or favoring any particular private industry.  The majority of Americans are frightened about the US Debt, and our ability to fully recover from this economic malaise.  The majority of Americans are deeply concerned about the fate of future generations.  The majority of Americans do not trust their Representatives in Congress – particularly over the past 2-4 years.

What About Union Campaign Ethics

Bill O’Brien, the next speaker of the New Hampshire House, has drafted a bill for next session meant to resolve the conflict of interest that exists when state employees campaign for state politicians.  Mr. O’Brien’s motivation, as reported in an article in the morning UL by John DiStaso, is Pam Walsh who  collected thousands in political consulting fees from Teflon John Lynch while employed by the state.

The State Union objects to the bill on the grounds that the language in the proposed bill is too broad, that no state employee would be able to work for anyone running for office in the state.  But maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

When you boil it down, there really isn’t any difference between a lobbyist and a public service union member who draws a taxpayer funded paycheck.  These folks have an immediate financial interest in who is elected to office.  They actually pay an entity (the union) to represent them in negotiations with the very government for whom they work, for the purpose of expanding their share of taxpayer patronage, a goal that is directly affected by who is elected to office.  Their natural inclination will be to support politicians who will reward them with financial remuneration and/or expand union access or power to achieve similar gains.  Not only is it a conflict of interest, it is a home field advantage that no other voter or taxpayer can hope to compete with, paid for by the taxpayers themselves from the dues paid out of taxpayer funded paychecks.

The Pot Calling The Kettle Black

This from the "Pot calling the kettle black" files: Ray Buckley is grinding his little Facebook propaganda mill again in an effort to get the liberal-regressive’s to put down the latte’s and lose the sad little faces from the implosion of Obama’s partisan, moonbeam,  Che Guevara cotillion and get their little rumps in gear to save his chairmanship.

This weeks episode: Citizens United destroyed campaign finance law because the democrats are (according to Buckley) being outspent 8 to 1.  The real problem is that others can now compete with unions and the lefts monster cash apparatus and Ray is just whining about the sudden appearance of real equality.

All one needs to do is sell their soul to a billionaire or industry that will spend millions destroying their opponent. That way the candidate will have only one master instead of those peksy constituents and $100 donors. But my point isn’t to state the obvious it is to slam the progressives unwilling to help.

And Ray would know all about that which is what makes this just so…damn…funny. So I’m clear on the hypocrisy part, (and by the way, when Republicans line up to object to liberal billionaire ATM’s that’s just nonsense) but I do have one question for Ray.  What is a "peksy" constituent?

It’s not news that FactCheck.org is run by the Annenberg Foundation, which is one of many Soros left wing cash machines giving grants to liberals and non-profits set up to destroy freedom in America.  So to even venture that FactCheck.org might have a bias seems like a waste of perfectly good digital trees.  But sometimes it’s too good to resist.

Yesterday I wrote this about the Seiu-Porter campaigns response to an Ad by George Pataki. (Didn’t he play Lt Sulu?)  Pataki, the former moderate (small r) republican governor of New York–is that redundant?–fronted the Ad through a group called Revere America, a 527 /non profit.  Fact check, fact cheeked the ad, but got a few ‘facts’ wrong.
