Before We Get Too Deep Into The National Discussion on Rape

Note to the Democrat Party. One of the best ways to reduce violent crimes (like rape) is to support a well trained and lawfully armed populace.  Add concealed carry and now you have a populace that is unaware as to who among them is well trained and well armed.  In every instance, this reduces the … Read more

Does Democrat Matt Houde Have Other Conflicts of Interest…?

Given the news that Democrat State Senator Matt Houde (D-State Senate District 5) became a paid lobbyist for the states largest health care provider in October on 2011, I am beginning to wonder how many health care or insurance related vote he made in the 2012 session of the New Hampshire State Senate that could … Read more

Minnesota Democrats Bullying a Candidate for Practicing Gay Sex?

MN Democrat Party Bullying Rep to drop out of race for having gay sexHere’s a real winner from Minnesota.  State party Democrats are trying to convince Legislator Kerry Gauthier not to run for re-election in his reliably Democrat district.  Gauthier, 56, had consensual oral sex with a 17 year old boy at a rest stop in Duluth back in July.   (The age of consent for such matter appears to be 16 in Minnesota.)   Gauthier, also a Democrat, has caught local party leadership with their pants down–they want him to drop out of his race as soon as possible.

Their point seems to be that this is inappropriate conduct for two males above the age of consent, and that it is a distraction. But I though the Democrat Party line was that consensual sex between any two consenting “adults” was a right (and their own damn business)…no matter what kind of sex it was?  So what the hell just happened?

If It is Campaign Related….It’s a Campaign Expense…You Clean It Up!

Obama Inauguration day trash- Democrats leave massive mess
Obama's been Leaving behind messes for others to pick up...Since Day 1

Obama is the campaigner in chief, breaking records for the number of campaign stops and fundraisers he’s made so far, all over America.  He’s also breaking records for the amount of money he is costing the places he travels too for these campaign events.  And neither he, nor his campaign, nor the DNC, are interested in paying the costs incurred by local communities as a result.

We had our own example in Durham, where an anonymous donor finally volunteered to cover costs, some of which which Durham outsourced to other towns who did not–to our knowledge–have anonymous benefactors themselves.  That means that taxpayers are  still fronting the cost of Obama’s campaign everywhere his campaign roams.

NH Democrat Policies On Voter ID and Domicile Still Matter…Here’s Why. (Part 2)

Back in 2000, as many as 1700 UNH students illegally registered to vote in Durham, New Hampshire, and very likely voted here illegally as well.   We know this because in 2001 more than a few UNH students requested that they be removed from the voter checklist in writing, using uncharacteristically similar wording, as if prompted to do so by someone in New Hampshire who did not want to prosecute them, so they could “properly register in their own home towns.”  (Copies of these written requests are on file with the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers, signed by each of the students who submitted them.)

So here we have admitted evidence of vote fraud in one college town in one year, but not prosecuted.   Just like Governor Lynch’s so-called awesome (and impossibly low) High School drop out rate, if you want to make something go away without actually doing anything about it, you ignore it, hide it, re-define it, or simply find enough people who might benefit from it to make it legal.

And while stuffing local ballot boxes with the votes of out of state residents was not new, making it legal made it easier for Democrats to continue to get the votes while reducing significant neck strain from state officials and Democrat party hacks having to look the other way.

This is really funny…

The question is…why? (You can buy one HERE, incidentally.)

Are You Better Off or “We are the 56%”

Gallup reports that 56% of Swing State voters do not believe they are better off than they were four years ago, rising from an Obama low of 54% but not yet nearing the Oct/Nov 2011 high of 60%.   A majority of those claiming they are not better off blame Mr. Obama, but not by a lot.  Plenty of blame for both Obama and Bush, with some still only blaming Bush.

So I guess we are the 56%.

better off- Are you better off than 3 years ago?

NH Democrat State Senator Matthew Houde’s Conflict of Interest

NH State Senator Matthew Houde - Health care conflict of Interest
DHMC Lobbyist - Matt Houde

Nowhere on New Hampshire State Senator, Democrat Matt Houde’s Bio Page does it mention that he is employed as a Lobbyist for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) .  I guess they forgot to update it?

So when the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire (Disclosure- I am on the RLCNH board), asked Senator Houde to step down from the Joint Health Care Reform Oversight Committee (not knowing that he was a paid lobbyist), you might be surprised to learn why?

The problem is simple.  Decisions Houde will make on the committee will have a direct effect on his employer, Dartmouth-Hitchcock.   Decisions  that could result in a massive expansion of Medicare, which given DHMC’s near monopoly in the Granite State, would ensure it access to millions of taxpayer dollars, a fraction of which could then be used to continue to pay Houde between $76,482.00 dollars to as much as $104,957.00 dollars for being a senior community communications specialist with DHMC.

Obamacare SEIU

The Daily Caller ran a story this weekend about a book set to come out tomorrow, by Mallory Factor, called “Shadowbosses: Government Unions Control America and Rob taxpayers Blind“.

The premise of the book is that Obamacare was just a big ploy to unionize the estimated 16-17 million strong healthcare workforce (12.5% of US workers, 17% of US GDP/economy – projected to reach 20%), and that by proposing an acceptable plan for nationalized/unionized healthcare, the union got behind Obama in the election of 2008, helping him win the Presidency.

But by the looks of this, Obamacare wasn’t just about healthcare, in the same way that “sustainability” isn’t just about the environment…

Passing the Buck on Welfare Work Requirements

Waving the job requirement for welfare seems like a natural extension of the Obama Economic plan.  Make sure there are no jobs, keep people dependent on government.  And now he can blame the states…who are suffering under every other yoke he has placed upon them in three in half years. Hey, maybe he’ll send Biden … Read more

2016 – The Obama Movie

If you’ve never heard Dinesh D’Souza speak before, catch him here, speaking to CPAC 2012 (speech begins @ 2:00). He’s a brilliant, articulate author, President of The King’s College, and now his book, Obama’s America, has been made into a movie, that shows what America would look like, in 2016, in the fallout of a … Read more

GrokTV Event: Belknap County Republican Committee “Contested Primaries” – NH House, District 9, Write In, Open Mic

At the end of the evening, there was one more person speaking in their own defense for their candidacy in a NH House race, and that was Harry Accornero in District 9.  He spoke alone as his opponent, Glen Dewhirst, was a no show for the evening.   Then, Dr. Chuck Fink was introduced as a write in candidated. Finally, a number of folks were allowed to speak to introduce themselves to the room’s activists even though they are not worrying about the primary – they go right to the general election.  At the end, Alan just opened up the rest of the evening as an Open Mic session.

Self-defense: a story of the great Equalizer

The story doesn’t say if her husband was not around, no husband, boyfriend, or anything else.  Just her and her children.  The great Equalizer?  Nope, not the gun, although that certainly played the role.  It is, however, her attitude

On Not being California…

Tax Money down the toiletNew Hampshire is not California.  We are not California because with the exception of 2007-2010, we try to avoid letting Democrats run the entire state government.  (We’re also not Massachusetts for that same reason.)  And this is good, because while Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has now implemented “cost controls” for Healthcare providers in his state, guaranteeing(long term) less access, longer waits and poorer service, California is a bloody disaster.

The tax and spend, unsustainable pension and benefits, land of environmental extortion, saw sales tax revenue drop 33.5% last month.  While but one small part of the problem that is “California” all the problems can be linked directly to things that New Hampshire Democrats want you to experience right here in the Granite State.

The Human Cost of Plastic Bag Bans… (Updated – new link added)

What are the unidentified costs of banning disposable shopping bags?  I’ve been speculating for months. In this video PERC Lone Mountain Fellow Jonathan Klick argues that the presence of harmful bacteria (in reusable grocery bags whose use is mandated after plastic bag bans are put in place) creates a health cost that has not been considered.  (Hey…I know I’m just chopped liver but I considered it. a few months ago ‘What could go wrong- LA Set to Ban Paper and Plastic.’)

And here, and here, and here, and here

Mr. Klick points out that about half the reusable bags of shoppers heading in for more groceries have some form of contamination, and that the human cost could be a doubling in the number of cases of food borne illness in humans and even death as a result.

GrokTV Event: Belknap County Republican Committee “Contested Primaries” – NH House, District 8

The last of the contested primaries here in NH’s Belknap County is that in NH House District 8: Jane Cormier and Peter Bolster.

Jane is a Conservative firebrand and is working hard to learn what is needed and working hard on her campaign.  Our interview series with Jane ended here (see the Previous videos on the post for the earlier questions).  She would be a breath of fresh air compared to her opponent.

Speaking of which, Peter Bolster, IMHO, is a Democrat registered as a Republican (and has publicly said as much in the past).  We have written extensively on his dismal record as a republican in the NH House votes

(here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here);

it is sad (and maddening) that there are Democrats that are more in line with the Republican Platform than he is.  In fact, I had a question to ask at the meeting and I followed the protocol of the meeting and wrote down my question and submitted it (after the jump).

Independent” voter in the House?  really? I will admit, he’s got chutzpah – he can’t possibly run using “Independent” in persuading most Republicans in the know concerning his actual record (which he did not go into).  Read that again, look at some of the links, and it is easily seen that he has earned his title: RINO.  What else do you call a Republican that consistently votes against the Republican Platform…..oh wait -> Democrat!

GrokTV: Conservative Republican Candidate Home Event: Kevin Leando

“Last but not least, MY favorite House candidate, Kevin Leandro from Gilford” – Barbara Aichinger.  Mine too!

I served with him this last year on the Gilford Budget Committe – he was ALWAYS thinking of the taxpayers!  No, not in “where’s their wallets” but in protecting taxpayer’s private property (their money) from those that had no problem in spending it all in the name of “It’s for the common good” or “It’s for the Quality of Life”.  He showed me an absolute bulldog sense of taking on anyone that he perceived as being in the wrong or spending for the wrong reasons.  No, he didn’t always win all of the battles, but like the Prior Marine he is, it was always find the target and move forward!

I can guarantee that he will make his presence known on the floor of the Hall of Representatives – as opposed to the other Gilford candidate (registered Independent and almost always seemingly put his finger to the wind to see which way the political winds were blowing).  Principles set, locked and loaded, you will never doubt where he will stand and never doubt his Conservative values.  My personal friend, Kevin Leandro:
