A statue of a gorilla in a community playground was removed because some people found the children’s plaything racially insensitive. The gorilla, which had stood for 19 years in the playground in Corsicana, Texas, was removed by city workers.

YouGov asked people whether they favor or oppose banning semiautomatic weapons. Note: Not semiautomatic rifles, which some might incorrectly but understandably treat as a question about AR-15s or “assault weapons.” YouGov asked about semiautomatic weapons. That means handguns too.
Which basically means around 90-95% of commonly held firearms by citizens. This is confiscation and the drumbeat

DC’s Projected High School Graduation Rate Drops To 42%
Washington, DC’s high school graduation rate is projected to drop by as much as 31% this year, with just 42% of seniors currently on track to receive a diploma. From the Washington Post:
Data released Thursday by D.C. Public Schools show that 42 percent of seniors attending traditional public schools are on track to graduate, while 19 percent are considered “moderately off-track,” meaning they could still earn enough credits to earn a diploma.
“You can always tell a Harvard man, because you can’t tell him much” – the saying goes. And the longer you are around graduates of Harvard Law, at least, the truer that statement is.
Harvard lost a billion dollars investing in South American vegetables over a ten-year period. But the thought is what counts. Imagine the Harvard team strutting around backward farming villages like royalty from another dimension.
“We are from Harvard, and we are here to help you,” would be a fitting cover story.
Here it is two weeks after the complete and utter failure of the 3,000-student high school in Florida to protect the kids it has control over for most of the day.
Two weeks and there is little to no discussion of mental health.
Two weeks and no discussion of over-sized student factories.
It has taken two weeks for America to find out that the self-promoting, political machine master, Sheriff Israel, is not a hero. Facts have to be dragged out that rabbit hole.
But here we are, just like the Left wants, talking about guns.

Nationally funded Progress Now’s local left-wing affiliate, Granite State Progress, is promoting an event on Facebook called ‘Keep Guns Out Of Schools.’ No, they don’t mean “keep criminals with guns” out of schools. In fact, they are advocating for precisely the opposite. They are rallying support for a floor amendment to SB 357 that would allow local school boards to advertise to criminals that their schools as soft-targets.

New Hampshire congressional district two Republican candidate Steve Negron has announced a series of interactive online Facebook-Live forums where voters can ask Steve questions about the issues.
“I am incredibly excited about launching our online Facebook forum, which will be an important tool in my continued efforts to talk with voters about the issues impacting them and their families.”
The schedule is described as ‘dynamic’ so we’ll have to wait and see how often or how many facebook live forums the voters in CD-2 will get with Steve Negron but to the best of my knowledge no other Republican candidate in that race is making themselves this accessible or using social media for live interactions with voters.
