I think that picture is TOTALLY appropriate.

Del. Lee Carter - Democratic Socialist of AmericaAfter all, I’m on the Democrat Socialists of America email list and I should start posting some of that up.  They completely answer the question of “what’s the difference between a Democrat and a Socialist?” quote well.  As that well known humorist keeps saying “here’s yer sign”:

Democratic lawmaker in Virginia holds hammer-and-sickle image behind colleague aligned with Democratic Socialists

The guy holding the tablet apologized. I have no idea why – I thought it was truth in advertising, myself.  These DSA-ers are about as anti-capitalist, anti-democracy (again, NO truth in advertising in their group’s name) and I bet I couldn’t find a difference between them and the Soviet Union or Bernie Sanders if I tried hard with a gun to my head (which a lot of Socialists have been known to do in both the present and the past; history is replete with examples).

I thought this was rather rich as well:

Notable Quote – Baldilocks

That’s why I’m not interested in arguing with people who want to leave me defenseless against the next demonic attack … er … mass shooting. Most pro-gun commentators, including me, figured out a while back that the Organized Left had long wanted to turn the USA into a full-blown Leftist Paradise — one likely to be replete with cartels and jihadists armed with AK-47s and the like, true automatic rifles — have long had one fact which makes the transformation an iffy proposition: personal and legal ownership of firearms.

I said the following in 2003, the first year I started blogging:

It’s been demonstrated that states which have liberal (not Liberal) CCW regulations tend to have lower violent crime rates, so what could be the purpose of not adopting these regulations? Why would a government not want its citizens to be able to protect themselves?

  • The government may want the average citizen to depend on the government for his/her protection. This will plant the idea that citizens can count on the government for nearly all of their needs. No, it doesn’t matter how demonstrably false the idea is. As we’ve seen in countless other matters, as long as the lie seed is planted, the lie will flourish, serenely unhindered by the facts.

Virtue-Signaling for dollars – let’s hide our past and past owner says the Red Sox

Red Sox make 262 million dollar trade with Dodgers
Red Sox make 262 million dollar trade with Dodgers

Seriously?  These nitwits think that merely changing a sign is going to give them the mantle of “inclusivity” (emphasis mine, reformated)?

The Boston Red Sox are asking the city of Boston to change Yawkey Way back to its original name, Jersey Street. The name has been under fire for years for its connection to what the team’s principal owner has said is the franchise’s complicated racial past under former owner Tom Yawkey.  Yawkey Way is the street Fenway Park is on.

Yawkey owned the Red Sox from 1933 to 1976 and presided over the last franchise in Major League Baseball to field a black player. That was in 1959, more than a decade after Jackie Robinson played for the Dodgers. The team said Wednesday that restoring Jersey Street shows that Fenway Park is “inclusive and welcoming to all.” Yawkey died in 1976. The street was named for him in 1977.

Got news fer ya – someone is always going to be first and someone is always going to be last.  Taking 40 years to

And just like that, the school shooting problem disappeared.

concealed carry small caliberGovernment interference and progressive policy have suffered a massive blow in the wake of the Parkland shooting. What’s the government’s go-to response? Fix background checks, and they’ve already got the bill.

The Republican Fix NICS bill (supported by Schumer and Feinstein) will (among other unconscionable things) empower any federal agency in the executive branch to prohibit you on a whim from exercising your second amendment rights.

The Hounding of the Metzlerville

The Earl of MetzlerIt looks like the bullying of a potential political opponent on top of the bullying of her daughter has ended over at NH’s most superintendent-dysfunctional cooperative school. That would be Timberlane – back in the news again.

The top Timberlane school bully, Earl Metzler, who poses as a professional school superintendent, has relinquished his sloppy attempt at keeping a candidate for school board out of “his” school.

Gun Control, Mental Health, And …

Inspiration, sun, clouds, treeBy NH House Rep. Josh Moore

We all felt the pain of the families who lost their loved ones in that horrific event in Parkland, FL on Valentine’s Day. I think we can all agree that we never wanted that to happen and we want to do all we can to make sure it never happens again.

Many solutions have been suggested and discussed. Some have been talked about before while others seem relatively new; such as arming teachers or hiring our nation’s veterans to protect our children.

Gun control, mental health, and law enforcement have all been hot topics for the last two weeks. But Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin is the only one I have heard talk about (that taboo topic) family values.

Data Point – Govt more at fault than guns for Florida high school massacre than gun control

if_you_cant_trust_freedom_how_can_you_trust_powerRasmussen Reports (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Most Americans think government error is more responsible than a lack of gun control for the Valentine’s Day massacre at a Florida high school.

  • 54% of American Adults believe the failure of government agencies to respond to numerous warning signs from the prospective killer is more to blame for the mass shooting. Thirty-three percent (33%) attribute the deaths more to a lack of adequate gun control. Eleven percent (11%) opt for something else.
  • Among Americans who have children of elementary or secondary school age, 61% think the government is more to blame. Just 23% of these adults fault a lack of adequate gun control more.
  • Forty-one percent (41%) of Americans believe stricter gun control laws would do the most to reduce the number of mass murders, while just as many (40%) say more action to treat mental health issues would make the biggest difference.

Data Point: Trump faster than Reagan in getting agenda accomplished

Trump if you strike me down

With unprecedented speed, the Trump administration has already implemented nearly two-thirds of the 334 agenda items called for by the Heritage Foundation, a pace faster than former President Reagan who embraced the conservative think tank’s legendary “Mandate for Leadership” blueprint.  At this stage of his presidency, Reagan had completed 49 percent of the Heritage policy recommendations. “We’re blown away,” Binion said in an interview. Trump, he said, “is very active, very conservative, and very effective.”

(Reformatted, emphasis mine throughout). Again, if you semi-ignore what he says and tweets and concentrate on what has been done, for a non-conservative President, he’s pretty conservative and I’ve been pleasantly pleased when you look at Trump from that viewpoint.

What’s more, he said, Trump hasn’t just focused on one agenda area, but he and his team has pushed through administrative moves on foreign policy, deregulation, immigration, tax reform and health care, moves often ignored by the media. “It is a huge volume that his administration has worked on and it is a huge spectrum of issues,” said Binion. His report card jibes with one from the West Wing which showed at the end of the year that the administration has scored 81 major achievements slashed at least 11 major legacy items of former President Barack Obama.

Which is ticking off Obama, his former Administration members, and Socialists in general.  Which is fine by me as it was one of the reasons I voted for him – Obama went WAY too far to the Left – HARD Left.  Yet, the MSM tried to paint him as a “moderate”.  But then again, the MSM has gone Left as well.

What are those “wins”?

Republican Majority Congress is Preparing to “Enhance” Background Checks

NICSDaniel Horowitz is ringing an alarm bell with the help or Republican Rep. Thomas Massie.

When Congress passed national reciprocity, it also passed Fix NICS legislation. At the time Rep. Massie warned that in the US Senate, as soon as there was another shooting, Senate Republicans would drop reciprocity and bring Fix NICS to the floor. When it got back to the House, Leadership would say, you passed this before…and that’s what they are doing.

A few Senators have stepped up to slow the cramming of this attack on your right to self-defense down our throats, but we only have a few days.

[Update] Free Market At Work: Store in Derry, NH Won’t Serve Republicans…[We we’re hacked!]

The_Used_Apple_Store_PicI love it when liberals embrace the power and risk of private business ownership.

The Used Apple Store posted to its Facebook page on Monday that the company will refuse services to those affiliated with the Republican party. How can they tell which customers are Republican? Well, they just know, store owner Billy Williams told NH1 on Tuesday.

The Used Apple Store refusing service is a form of a protest against what the Republican Party stands for, he said.

“Well, they just know?”

Delta Airlines, AstroTurfed Out Of $40 Million By Scam Organization

delta-air-linesWe all know, from media reports, how Delta Airlines submitted to pressure regarding the recent school security failure at a massive 3,000 student high school in Florida. This vast student factory had that single, incompetent, coward, for a “resource officer.” That “officer” was supervised by the now utterly discredited, and apparently mentally unstable, elected, Broward County Sheriff.

But did you know how Delta was brought to its knees and who did it?
