Again, I’m following up on the Op-Ed by Cornerstone post with the actual votes by Republicans.  Here are the Republicans that voted against HB1532 ( “prohibiting gender reassignment surgery for minors.” – This means that House members want taxpayers to be forced to participate in irreversible and unnecessary surgery and chemical treatments for minors).  Yet, the House voted to up the marriage age; young hetersexual marriage (before 16) bad but young (and younger) genital mutilation (because that’s what happens during reassignment and chemical treatments) is perfectly fine.

Do they ever think cohesively? As in one thing is chained to others?

So now the Republican are assisting the Democrats in shoving NH closer and closer to a broad-based tax?  Jeb Bradley and Chuck Morse have all but said it by trying to show what was their MAHvelous Obamacare Medicaid Expansion plan into “managed care” plans (anyone else have a bad experience with HMOs in the past?  Bueller? Bueller?) in trying to contain costs they incurred by shoving 50,000 additional able-bodied workers (many, many already covered by private insurance) onto the Public Dole.  And now the R’s have decided that Federal / NH taxpayers are going to give up even more for what should be elective surgery (or at the least, their costs instead of our costs).

Today, the New Hampshire House of Representatives voted to pass House Bill 1319 (HB 1319), AN ACT prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity. The legislation was pushed based on the absolute lie that trans people don’t have the same protections against discrimination as everyone else in the state.

The out-of-state organization who pushed this legislation, and spent a lot of money doing so, lost their bid to push the law last session but some Republicans decided to resurrect the bill for some perceived political gain. Again, the bill is based on the lie that everyone doesn’t have the same protections against discrimination in New Hampshire.

What this law will really do is regress Women’s Rights back decades. For years, women fought for sex-based legal protections. There are a number of spaces and organizations that have benefitted women with these legal protections like bathrooms, locker rooms, domestic abuse shelters, rape centers and of course women-only organizations.

The Omnibus is more of the same (bonus spending edition) after an election where we hoped for better but as I noted here, let Trump play his hand out on the budget and just let that bitch go.

We have bigger problems that need our attention.

Problems that if ignored will put an abrupt end to any notion that we’ll get deregulation, responsible national security policy, border control, more tax relief, another good judge on the Supreme Court, or anything remotely like Conservative or Republican priorities.

None of it. So, pay attention and focus.

Stephen M. Sierpina, the Principal of Windham High School, sent out a letter outlining the school’s plans for Wednesday, March 14th. That’s supposed to be a nation-wide school walkout day to inspire Congress to pass stricter gun laws.

Dumb.

Anyone with two non-ideological brain-cells to rub together knows that criminals don’t follow laws and this walk-out is just another in a long series of stunts to disarm law-abiding Americans.

Given all the systemic failures on the gubbmint side of things, from federal programs to failed government agencies, to incompetent sheriffs, to inept deputies, lawsuits seemed inevitable.

Anthony Borges is considered one of the heroes of the Parkland shooting. The 15-year-old was shot twice in the torso and three times in the legs while trying to lock a door and protect other students. He then helped save his own life, using the knowledge he learned as a Boy Scout to create a tourniquet to slow his own bleeding. Yesterday, an attorney hired by the Borges family announced it would file a lawsuit against the school system and Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

Given the size of the school, we should expect more of this. A lot more.

We are saddened and disappointed that the NH House put the feelings of a few over the fundamental rights of all NH citizens. The common good was not served today. The House made two mistakes today in passing HB 1319: it forgot that all New Hampshire residents are already rightfully protected under anti-discrimination law, and it refused to acknowledge that HB 1319 is loaded with unintended consequences.

Sharyl Attkisson has an impressive bit of research on her website that documents, if not all, most of the major points in the Collusion Story timeline. It begins in 2011 if you can believe that when the Obama Admininstration expanded domestic surveillance to include,

“…storing and entering into a searchable database sensitive intelligence on U.S. citizens whose communications are accidentally or “incidentally” captured during surveillance of foreign targets.”

Yes We Scan became one of many Obama scandals over the years and just happens to be the starting point for an escapade that includes the DNC, intelligence agents, complicit media, foreign intelligence officials, lobbyists, industrialists, WikiLeaks, the Clinton Foundation, and yes, Russia.

As you may have read, the Town of New Boston is once again trying to put Duke’s Garage out of business by any means possible, that means ZONING. And with zoning, a town can simply bankrupt anyone without the financial means to defend themselves. This is exactly what is going on in this instance.

You would think in a case involving property rights, facts matter, but you would be wrong. Remember, the courts in New Hampshire is not what you would call taxpayer friendly.

Today, in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Democrats wanted to suspend the rules to introduce new gun control legislation that would ban 18-20-year-old law-abiding Granite Staters from purchasing or possessing rifles.

It seems Democrats don’t want young people to be able to protect themselves, all because of the actions of one teen-aged psychopathic murderer. Apparently, to New Hampshire Democrats, all 18-20-year-old Granite State adults should be treated like psychopathic murderers and denied their fundamental human right of self-defense to protect themselves from actual psychopathic murderers:
