Pointless Passion for a Porn Star

Ever since the last presidential election, Democrats have obsessed over the alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. For months, they’ve pontificated about some international conspiracy and its damage to our election process. Now that it’s becoming increasingly clear that such a conspiracy never existed, they’ve shifted their attention to President Trump’s character.

In recent weeks, they’ve been focusing on a supposed encounter between Trump and a porn star occurring several years ago. Even more tantalizing for them is a wholly unsubstantiated incident five years ago involving two prostitutes, which was reported in the infamous Steele dossier.

Fired FBI Director, James Comey, is even speculating on the veracity of the dossier, even though he had previously testified that it was never substantiated. Facing his own credibility problems, and free to say whatever pops into his mind, he now echoes the liberal narrative that President Trump is morally unfit for office.

But what do Comey and Democrats consider morally fit?

So, who was it you voted for to get all these “Laws”?

That would be “Administrative Law” – laws created and legally enforced (sometimes as felonies) by unelected, unaccountable, and unassailable bureaucrats. The Competitive Enterprise Institute has a report on how large of an impact this “extra-Constitutional” process of “legislating” has on the average American citizen who, if you haven’t been educated in government schools lately, our forefathers fought a war over “taxation without representation”). At least then, we knew who was doing what to us. Now, not so much – if at all. A sampling of the results:

Federal regulations and intervention cost Americans $1.9 trillion in 2017.
Federal regulation is a hidden tax that amounts to nearly $15,000 per U.S. household each year, more than Americans spend on any category in their family budget except for housing.
In 2017, 97 laws were enacted by Congress during the calendar year, while 3,281 rules were issued by agencies. Thus, 34 rules were issued for every law enacted.
If it were a country, U.S. federal regulation would be the world’s eighth-largest economy, ranking behind India and ahead of Italy.
Many Americans are concerned about their annual tax burden, but total regulatory costs exceeded the $1.88 trillion the IRS collected in both individual and corporate income taxes in 2017.

if Pelosi wants to keep calling this a “tax scam”, then keep scamming me all day long!

I speak of the Tax Reform passed at the end of last year in which the Republicans (FINALLY doing something aligned “with our values”) fought the Democrats to do one simple, easy to understand idea: you get to keep more of your hard earned money. Why is that so anathema to Democrats? Oh, because they are really Socialists and Government ALWAYS comes before anybody else. After all, Tax Reform is not just just good for we citizens, it’s doing rather well for the country as a whole (emphasis mine):

Item 1: Kroger announced that it was accelerating wage hikes, increasing the company’s 401(k) match, enhancing benefits, and expanding employee discounts. All, it said, thanks to the Republican tax reforms. Kroger joins more than 500 other companies who’ve extended bonuses, wage hikes, or improved benefits to more than 4 million workers in the wake of the law’s sharp reduction in corporate tax rates.

Sure, shareholders have received a lot of the now freed up money in this “keep your own money to yourself” law. Why not? They own the company – they took their cash, bought part of a company via their buying shares and expect a good return on their money. That said, employees demonstrably have received a heck of a lot of money that they otherwise wouldn’t have received. Yet, Democrat Progressive Nancy Pelosi keeps saying that letting people keep more of their money instead of the Government keeping it is a “tax scam”. Once again, she lets us all know whose money it should be.

Remember when Obama assured us that Russia had promised that Syria’s chemical weapons were no more? They weren’t. Assad used them on his own people. Collusion! (That’s a Russsssia Joke, get it?)

But Syriaously, folks. Chemical weapons in Syria were this big deal. Chemical Weapons everywhere are a big deal but mostly in places where leaders-for-life and their strong-men like to dispose of them on the locals as a lesson. The Bamster told us about this Red Line thing (don’t you dare use chemical weapons), which Assad repeatedly crossed without consequence.
