James Hansen has been the boy who cried global warming wolf for three decades. Being an actual scientist at NASA seems to have something to do with giving him credibility but not much else can. He’s been wrong about just about everything.
Tony Heller, reporting at Real Clear Science, lists some of Hansen’s greatest misses.
The Midwest was doomed to heat and droughts. Reality: above average rainfall and declining temperatures.

Lower water levels in the great lakes? Reality: If anything they are higher.

Manhattan is supposed to be underwater. Reality: It isn’t. In fact, it is not even close.

And no, the Arctic isn’t ice-free and the polar bears are doing fine.
