When the left tells you that women are a protected class, they are lying. Women who march in lockstep with the left’s narrow agenda are protected as long as they keep up. This is true for blacks, gays, trans, cis, Metrosexual-pajama-boys, bearded-Marxists, or any designer state of being manufactured by the liberal ministry of identity and progress.

You are not ‘protected’ based on who you want to have sex with or the color your skin. You are only special if you advocate one set of ideas which they define. It’s their Dogma or the dog house. Failure to comport excommunicates you to slave-class status. You become less than human, no longer entitled to your own words, thoughts, or even the rights they define and dispense.

They’ve even got stormtroopers to make sure everyone knows this and women don’t get a pass just because they are women.

As you’ll likely know by now, I had a heart attack Monday. I came home Thursday. But sitting and listening is well within my very limited post-cardiac-event wheelhouse (and the Tuscan Kitchen in Salem has an elevator so no long staircases) so we went.

First, you are guilty of using the most frustrating and pernicious leftist debate tactic.

To try to make your case, you use examples outside the norm – such as families who adopt, grandparents raising their grandchildren, single parents due to the death of a spouse – in an attempt to undermine the norm. It’s no different than those who are pro-abortion trying to undermine opposition to abortion by raising rare cases of rape and incest, or more recently, using the existence of intersex persons to try to undermine natural sex/gender.

Many of us have friends or family whose situation is exactly one of those examples, but their efforts are a compassionate response to a crisis, not something that we should set as a legal standard.

Second, articulating an ideal is not exclusionary.

New Hampshire Democrats Continue to Push for Discrimination Against Religious Schools

Earlier this week, the Executive Council voted on a $4.1 million scholarship plan.

From the Concord Monitor:

The program, approved by legislators last year, will provide for scholarship funding for 23 post-secondary institutions and training programs. Open to any New Hampshire high school graduates who are eligible to receive Pell Grants, the scholarships are set to be available for the next school year.

The New Hampshire House voted 184-146 to advance Senate Bill 500, housekeeping legislation meant to clean up the language in firearms statutes in the GraniteState.

Unlike the State Senate where approval was unanimous SB500 did not garner overwhelming bipartisan support in the NH House. In fact, it received very little support from House Democrats with 139 of the 146 no votes coming from the left.

NH Progressive Senators on school nurses- “local control is fine” (but only as long as you agree with us!)

NH State Senator Woodburn basically just said exactly that about who controls the standards for school nurses:

“We need to have school nurses who are on top of the details and know what’s going on,” said Sen. Jeff Woodburn, D-Whitefield, in opposition to the rollback. “We settled this issue last year. The policy has been set. We need to keep the policy and not be flip-flopping all over the place every two years.”

Yet, when it comes to guns on school properties, these same Progressive Democrats were some upset that they didn’t get their way with NH State Senator Hennessey’s amendment to allow local School Boards, wern’t they?  You see, they KNOW that most School Boards, being one of the foxholes that defend the Liberal mantras, would agree with them and carry out the NH Senate Democrats in banning guns on their premises.  So LET them have control, we BELIEVE in local control!

The Earl of MetzlerSeems like the Earl of Metzler is coming up against “the rabble” (normally called students and people paying his salary) more and more.  So he has arbitrarily decided to become like those college campuses that haven’t the foggiest idea of what the First Amendment Free Speech clause is all about.  Instead – he “deigns” to decide who can speak, where they can speak, where they can speak, and when they disagree with him, not to speak at all.  Free Speech?  Ah, outmoded like the Second Amendment! After all, “safety” is the bugaboo of tyrants and totalitarians (and those that threaten Power) everywhere (reformatted, emphasis mine):

The superintendent of the Timberlane Regional School District is defending his decision to have a small group of student demonstrators removed from school grounds during a peaceful protest over possible staffing cuts Wednesday night. Approximately 15 to 20 students and adults with signs of support gathered outside the school administrative offices at 30 Greenough Road around 6:30 p.m., but police ordered them to leave the property and move their vehicles out of the parking lot. The demonstration was held amid uncertainty over whether dozens of teachers and other staff members will get pink slips because of a budget shortfall. Plaistow resident Kathy Slade — one of the adults who participated in the protest — said they had to park elsewhere because they were told they were not allowed to park on school property, including at the high school next door even though it was after hours. “I wasn’t surprised, but I was disappointed,” she said.

Metzler said the reason why he didn’t allow the demonstrators on school property was because the group had not communicated with him directly before the event to explain exactly what was planned and how many people would be participating. Metzler said if the organizers “took the responsible precautions and notified us, we certainly would have assisted,” he said. Metzler said it all came down to the safety of students and protecting school buildings and property.

Great, just yet one more “thing” to add to the growing pile. It’s that second one that’s the line to pay attention to.  If the GOP won’t protect the Second, why bother?  If their actions give truth to this:

why bother? If they spend like Democrat Socialists (re: the Omnibus trillion plus bill, making drunk sailors look like the Wise Men), why bother?  If they can’t bother to pay attention to the Constitution (“compromising” with Democrats to put further restrictions on political speech), why bother?  If elected GOP officials (both in govt and within the Party) keep willfully violating the GOP Platform (like Jeb Bradley did here in NH by first pushing for enacting Obamacare  and then pushing to keep it going; sorry, handholding Constitutional Carry is an insufficient “hiding shield” for everything else you’ve done), why bother?

So Yeah, I had a Heart Attack.

De-Nsr_(CardioNetworks_ECGpedia)Monday, April 9th between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm ET I experienced a series of unpleasant symptoms that resolved themselves into extremely unpleasant symptoms and a heart attack.

While walking Cosmo, I felt what at first seemed to be more like winter or cold weather asthma. That feeling you get in your chest from inhaling too much cold air through your mouth. After resting a moment, the symptoms subsided. I finished the walk, though a bit out of breath.

At home things quickly accelerated.

One of the issues with slavery from the founding of the nation (leading up to and past the civil war) is that there was a class of persons who did not believe or could not be convinced that their slaves were human beings. In their eyes, they were not people, so the idea of granting them rights made no sense.
