Comparing 8/28 to 10/2 is a bit silly. One was not meant to be political, the latter was entirely so. 8/28 inspired hundreds of thousands to share rides and come together in honor, One-Nation’s unions and CP activists paid for the buses that delivered their paltry numbers. 8/28 was a kind and caring event about thanks and personal reflection, 10/2 was a crowd of selfish, angry windbags looking to protect their free ride on the backs of the taxpayers, and to expand the totalitarian power of a huge central government.
Not too many people seemed to want that.
At the end of 8/28 the place was spotless.
The 10/2 crowd left a huge mess. But then what else would you expect from people who want others to do the work for their benefit. Workers of America my ass.
There was however one point on which both turn. 8/28 was an expression of the power of people who support the TEA party and a desire to light a candle against the darkness.
10/2 was pathetic and angry, filled with hate for the opposition; a tiny little horde of socialists shouting in the darkness for even more government, more of what democrats want for America.
Given the political climate, the people looking to vote out the current government, the one the socialists want even more of, appears to have a huge advantage. Looking at the numbers for both events, I think we begin to see just how bad off they are. The left’s got almost nothing…so let’s bring the rain.
Get out the vote. Bring a friend. Hold a sign. Call a neighbor. Invite someone from Church. Talk about it at the book club. Send the message that we not only want these folks to take their hands off of our wallets and our freedoms, but that we will not wait for someone else to do it for us. We will stand up and take responsibility. And we will do everything in our power to stop the democrats socialist agenda, and return that power to the states and the people.
Just like on 8/28, we will pick up the trash and put it where it belongs.
Just remember that this it’s not about being against the government. It is about wresting power from the central government. It is about being against one that is run entirely from Washington DC. It is about restoring states rights and local control, and the dismantling of unconstitutional federal oversight in the process.
We have the momentum. We have the numbers. And we cannot afford the alternative. Do not sit back and let someone else do this for you. This is your responsibility. Go big. Go Large. Super size you opposition vote. Take out the trash.
