Before my marriage, the last time I went to an art exhibit, was when I went to see an exhibit of Gauguin in Sodom by the Potomac Washington DC, but that was only because I was accompanying my parents on their annual snowbird migration to Florida.

Newtown Massacre: A Canadian Viewpoint

Editorial: Blood On The Hands Of The LEFT
By: Howard Galganov
I was just about to publish my latest editorial as promised, on Canada’s Supreme Court Decision to suspend Freedom of Speech, in favor of promoting one language over all others.
THEN THE CONNECTICUT SCHOOL SHOOTING HAPPENED.
Next to language issues in Canada, and a failed Judicial System in both of our countries, what happened in Connecticut takes precedence.
I won’t waste words describing my feelings,
In America today, we are living in a time of tribulation. WHAT DO YOU DO…
…when you are faced with the poisonous policies and politics of Obama, the Democrats, and their henchmen in government, in the media, and elsewhere? http://youtu.be/S6h9IJ15rdQ
Its Time to Ignore Liberal Bullying
To the Editor:
Mr. Veverka and Mr. Hightower would have you believe that any time a liberal imagines a need, the government should reach into your pocket, or at least your neighbor’s pocket, and take your (or his) money. Or, more accurately, the government should borrow money from the Chinese for which we promise repayment of principal, interest, and a little bit of the opportunities, freedom, and standard of living of our children, grandchildren, and future generations of Americans.
Anyone who does not immediately jump at this “bargain” will be the target of name calling, lies, and hysterical personal attacks. This intimidation is to blame for a significant amount of our current approximately $15 trillion national debt and so many flawed government programs.

THE SHRILL KATHY And Her Bill O’Brien Rant
“Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.” ~Ronald Reagan
When one reads the Shrill Kathy’s latest diatribe in the Union Leader, there is one theme that plays like a broken record: Tax, Tax, Tax…Spend, Spend, Spend. The Shrill Kathy complains, “a 10-cent cut in the cigarette tax, did not change prices for smokers because the tobacco companies raised their prices…” I think I missed something because the former argument of the day was that the tobacco tax reduction would increase youth smoking. So, now here’s Kathy Sullivan arguing the ill merits of a tax typically inflicted upon Granite Staters who earn the least….a tax on the poor…which of many, smoke.
Next, the Shrill Kathy complains that, “House budget writers ignored every signal that the federal government was about to impose a $35 million penalty for Medicaid errors dating back to the Benson administration…” adding that, “Their irresponsibility has caused a gaping hole in their ballyhooed ‘balanced budget’.” How conveniently she ignores the fact that her beloved Democratic party, led by Teri “Billion-dollar deficit” Norelli had two full terms to reconcile and fix this issue, but did not do so. Instead, they created more layers of government, increased over one-hundred fees and taxes and put into motion record unsustainable budgets, creating the fiscal mess this state now faces.
The Shrill Kathy whines, “New Hampshire hospitals are laying off hundreds of employees because O’Brien and his Republican colleagues took away federal money that had paid hospital costs for the poor…” Yet it hard to ignore the countless millions of construction dollars hospitals are using to competitively outspend one-another in an unquenchable drive to be better than the next facility. Now that the Democrats have created yet another constituency cash cow that becomes as angry as any other when bloated coffers are not being filled, The dependable Shrill Kathy is all too willing to step into the limelight and pimp their cash loss off onto the poor. Isn’t it about time we stop the demagoguing and manipulation of the less fortunate? Let’s be honest here; You don’t really care about poor people, Kathy.
Mayor Gatsas is no different than any other cash cow constituent, be it Republican or Democrat. Every entity that gets some form of funding for something from the state or federal government cries, cut theirs…but NOT MINE! Cuts made to the at-risk juvenile program, shows no indication of any highly-paid hacks taking any pay cuts or losing their jobs. Nope! self-preservation trumps program delivery.
How Much Is Enough? (And Other Problems With Left Wing Policy)
Why can’t democrats trust their own constituents to do the right thing? Their first response to every problem is to institutionalize it with more government, typically as far up the legislative food chain as possible. That means as far away from you as they can manage, even to the point of giving control to unelected bureaucrats you can’t punish, just to keep you from messing with it. They entrench it in a bureaucracy, make it impossibly inefficient and expensive and then refuse to let anyone touch it ever again, while charging you more and more to maintain it.
The only reason I can think of for that kind of knee jerk behavior is that Democrats use themselves as the template for the rest of us. The left by their very nature must be selfish, insecure, inconsiderate and un-trusting. Only people so un-giving of themselves or simply incapable of volunteering their time and energy would have to mandate volunteerism and "giving" by legalizing the taking of other peoples time or property through mandates.
THE LIBERAL CHARITABLE TEMPLATE
“If I ever get real rich, I hope I’m not real mean to poor people, like I am now”– Deep Thoughts with Jack Handey
In the context of budget debates, we can always count on liberals to wage class warfare. When austerity draws its uncomfortable bead on health and human services line items, school budgets, public sector unions, and the arts, liberals form up the fight line to speak of epic meanness. They caterwaul and accuse Republicans of starving the children, or killing the old people or taking away food stamps from the poor.
Those evil, heartless rich Republicans! they just keep getting richer and the poor just keep getting poorer! Republicans Are People Too — Mean, Selfish, Greedy People! How many times have we grown tired of hearing that? The sad fact is that all too many people buy into these sham assertions.
“Republicans.” They are the straw man in public debate that liberals love to point their prune-picking, pablum-puking, American-hating, boney little fingers at, as the source of all thing miserable.
Class warfare Liberals gloss over the fact that uber-wealthy liberals vastly outnumber wealthy conservatives. Andrew Gelman, Professor of statistics and political science at Columbia University asserts that, “The average income of the 100 million or so Republicans is LOWER than that of the 150 million or so Democrats,” in Rich state, poor state, red state, blue state. American Conservative households statistically earn 6% less than Liberal American households.
From a NH state legistator: “Rules for Liberty Guerrillas”….
From a NH state Rep.: "Tim, I can’t decide whether this is worth spreading around, so I will leave it up to you." In my opinion, it’s WELL worth spreading around. Liberty Guerrillas. I like it. I like the idea. Go and SEE FOR YOURSELVES. You’ll like it too.
No Labels – Why Are All Their “Leaders” Leftists?
No Labels, the latest of many left wing funded efforts to drag the right into the middle and the middle leftward, is looking for you to help them spread their message. But before you drop your values, abandon your principles, and jump into the center, you might want to know something about their latest pitchman, or should I say woman, Catherine “Kiki” McLean.
Wisconsin Gold
In just a few days the unions and democrats gathering in Wisconsin have provided us with a treasure trove. They have bussed in AstroTurf with connections to the White House, backing the big business unions, bearing more Hitler signs in a few miles than since Hilter was alive.
The “Shrill” Kathy And Her Pen
Kathy Sullivan accuses House Republicans of engaging in hypocrisy and partisanship. I painfully read her boring 800-plus words with unfettered amusement given the "Shrill Cathy’s" finger-pointing and demagoguing. She claims the hiring of Greg Moore by Speaker Bill O’Brien is somehow interwoven with the State Republican Party. She characterizes Moore’s hiring as ripe of a … Read more
Socialist Democrat Moles in Action
At CPAC this last weekend former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfield was booed and heckled. It is said that the people doing this were "Ron Paul supporters." I don’t believe it. For one thing, Ron Paul is not stupid; he disapproves of such behavior. Secondly, such activity is suspiciously like what collectivists on the Left always do, trying to shut … Read more
The One-Trick Tax-And-Spend Donkey By Any Other Name…
The New Hampshire democrats have a name for their new 501(c)(4) non-profit. It’s the July Fourth Forum. What, “We just lost The Whole Damn State” was already taken?
As with most things named by democrats it presents a notion diametrically opposite its true intention. We see this same naming tactic in their legislation (at least in DC). Their bills always have the words American, Freedom, Rights, Choice, or Affordable in the name, usually including two or more at any given time. This is meant to serves as a warning to anyone who dares gaze upon the hundreds of thousands of words that follow the name of their bill (not that they want anyone to actually read them). If allowed to become law it will hurt Americans, deny freedoms, infringe rights, cost a fortune and leave you with whatever choice the government has decided is best for you and few if any other.
So the only word in any name of any Democrat bill that has any hope of being remotely accurate must be the word “Act.” As in, that American-Freedom-Rights-and choice-stuff is all just an act.
Which brings us back to Kathy Sullivan’s ‘”July Fourth Forum.”
How About Them Nazis?
Given how touchy the New Hampshire Democrat Party (NHDP) leadership is about comments relating to Jews and Nazis I wanted to wait a few days before addressing the words of Tennessee House Democrat Steve Cohen. Cohen made a few, lets call them ‘off-hand remarks’ about propaganda, Republicans and Nazis. He then did it again with spin. And again. (and..Zzzz)
Uh Oh…
Last week, Senator Mark Udall (D-CO), submitted a letter to Congressional leaders and members, "urging them to come together at the State of the Union address…" Udall had some fellow members of Congress sign the letter, in a sign of bi-partisan unity, and (the magic word) increased "civility". Sitting at the loser’s side of the table, … Read more
Brunelle Is A Distraction
My previous post on the pending investigation of Mike Brunelle was to poke fun at the lefts hypocrisy on the influence of money, anticipate the caterwauling, and suggest a course for clarifying the meaning of the text. In the intervening days, it seems obvious that I left some points out, some made by democrats.
There’s a reason they call it an “OMNI”-bus bill.
Democrats in Congress are guilty of delcaring war on the American economy, and its people.
Where Is That Elusive Middle Ground?
Grassroots is at the root of all politics in New Hampshire these days (most days really) and in response to that the Sunday News has taken notice, publishing an article this morning by Shawne K. Whikham which highlights a handful of groups from around the state.
Stop START then re-START
New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen chews up a large chunk of the Sunday Union Leader’s opinion page to sell us on president Obama’s START treaty with Russia. Most of the words revolve around suggesting this will enhance security, that it is a good deal for America, and that there are a busload of experts, past and current military, former Secretaries of State, ex-presidents and sundry others who agree that this Treaty should be ratified. But a few things stand between taking this at face value and moving forward on her recommendation.
First, Mr. Obama, a man who has excelled at degrading his own country, and minimizing its global influence, wants it real bad. Not a good sign.
Second, look at the context. What would we say if this was George Bush, wasting political energy and government time and resources, to advance something like this when we should have all our attention on the failure of the debt commission to agree to its own recommendations? Should we not still have all eyes and all hands dealing with a looming tax increase that could send the economy into a bigger tailspin just a few weeks from now? What about the deficit? Where is the laser like focus? Why not job growth polices–other than using the extension of unemployment benefits for class warfare against opponents who just want it paid for from some dark corner of Obama’s multi-trillion dollar budget or one of his many slush funds. Why START now?
Third, and this ties into the first, START is to strategic nuclear security what Obamacare was to Health care. Its pursuit appears almost Pyrrhic, as if the victory must come regardless of the cost. So this is not a strategic defense effort, it is just another feather in Obama’s agenda cap. And with the brakes now being applied to his agenda come January 3rd, he is more obsessed with the Obama of history than the one responsible for national, and based on how they are selling it, Global security.
But like everything else that comes out of the administration or the drooling mouths of the party lap-dogs assigned to promote it, this is predicated on their standard template. "We can’t just do nothing" and "Things could be worse."
If we search the landscape of the Obama Presidency however, neither of these ideas is compelling. If we actually look at what Obama is willing to pass off as ‘doing something,’ it looks as if he has just bowed to another foreign leader, only this time over a nuclear weapons treaty.
