Harry Reid’s Innocent Victims

They are making hay and BS sandwiches over at Boo-Hoo Hampshire, this time about the latest unemployment benefits stalemate.   Dean Barker–the Boo Hoo Guru–had begun by waxing on the CBS news coverage on the latest unemployment extension debate when he decided to lament (or perhaps invent) 30 years of GOP policy crushing the little guy, and how even now they are somehow still pulling the levers to crush them even more.  No I’m serious.

But the best part is the “Boo-Hoo” hook.

The innocent victims, Mr. and Ms. Joe Taxpayer, won’t get what they need to stay solvent.  And nearly one of ten of them can’t find work.  And that’s not counting the vast underemployed.

The innocent victims!  Well what about that?

SFexaminer.com reports that Republicans offered several compromises before the Senate recess to resolve the log jam on extending unemployment benefits. All they wanted to know (exactly the same thing they wanted to know the last time) was how we intend to pay for it, and wouldn’t it be a great idea if we used some unspent stimulus money to cover the cost instead of incurring an additional 33 billion dollars in new debt?

Wait a minute.  I see little Boo Hoo Hampshire dots aligning…

Nancy Pelosi, democrat,  reminded us that unemployment benefits are in fact, like, totally the best kind of stimulus, like–ever you know, OMG!  Well because it like, creates jobs.

And hey, remember Paygo?  Was that another piece of Potemkin legislation passed by crack-addict spend-a-thon liberals or do you think they were serious?   They’ve spent at least 200 to 300 billion in “emergency spending” since Paygo 2.0.1.3.7.9 dot whatever.  That used to be serious money.

And speaking of serious money, we do have a few hundred billion dollars in unspent Stimulus money just hanging around.

And isn’t this the summer of something to do with jobs and stimulus?  Holy unholy left wing jobs and stimulus Batman!  Move over chocolate and peanut butter.  Step aside root beer and ice.  We’ve got "stimulus money" and "job stimulus" just waiting to come together.

So just picture it…using stimulus money we already allocated that we don’t have…to pay for something a prominent democrat calls “stimulus”… that would actually follow a rule democrats put in place to reduce deficit spending… that republicans said they would agree to.

Did I mention that Harry Reid has refused to use any amount of stimulus money to pay for unemployment benefits that would—according to Nancy Pelosi—be the best kind of stimulus for job creation?

The money is there.  The rule is there.  It’s the perfect left wing job creating stimulus snow job.  It extends unemployment again.   It’s an election year.  There was even a bi-partisan compromise.  And what do you do over at BH?  You forget to point out that it is Harry Reid’s fault that “The innocent victims, Mr. and Ms. Joe Taxpayer, won’t get what they need to stay solvent.”

Glaring oversight or partisan hackery?

Hey do you guys have BH monogrammed Boo Hoo towels you weep into when you write this stuff.  And have you considered changing the initials to BS?
