Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom and how the Government is taking that away. As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. As a TEA Party activist, citizen journalist, and pundit!, my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture.

“America the Beautiful” by the Hillsdale College Choir

It is our country’s birthday today. Celebrate it and take a reverent moment or two to reflect on how good of a country we have been bequeathed by our Founders’ vision of exalting personal freedoms and liberties unlike any other country in history. I, for one, am thankful, to be in a country that has … Read more

A Bleg for Katlin Viar

I met Katlin Viar last week as she is transitioning from the RNC to the Trump Victory campaign staff and was curious about GraniteGrok.  She is asking for a bit of help: I know this is the last minute – but I was wondering if you could reach out to your network for me. I … Read more

Quick Thought – Have to give John Delaney credit for working hard

John Delaney holds 100th presidential campaign event in N.H. Interns for John Delaney hustled out of Atkinson Community Center and to their cars with signs and donuts at 9:15 Tuesday morning. They didn’t have time to waste. Their candidate, who’s in the back of a crowded field of Democrats vying for the presidency in 2020, … Read more

Blog Question of the Day – Which Bernie does best?

Bernie vs. Bernie: Who Has Improved More Lives, Marcus Or Sanders? I will be delighted to see how the comments go on this one.  BTW, one of them has pledged a big part of their wealth to charities – the other one has openly said he despises them. Also from the post: “Meet the creator. … Read more

Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig: A Victim of The Bloomberg Syndrome?

Reformatted, emphasis mine: In 2011, Victor Davis Hanson warned of “The Bloomberg Syndrome:” “Quite simply, the next time your elected local or state official holds a press conference about global warming, the Middle East, or the national political climate, expect to experience poor county law enforcement, bad municipal services, or regional insolvency.” Mayor Craig has made … Read more

Unamerican to count Americans?

A simple question for the 2020 Census form: Are you an American?  Yet, it is illustrative of the utter chasm between Progressives (if you can get here, you’re an American and we’ll help you break the laws to be one) and Normals (hey, do it the right way!).  There is no middle ground, there is … Read more

Notable Quote – George Will

It is, however, an iron law: The more government does to influence the flow of money, the more money will be spent to influence elections. -George Will ( The Conservative Sensibility) (H/T: Cafe Hayek) As Government controls more resources and takes/spends more money, the stakes keep increasing.  The lure to control that money flow is irresistible … Read more

Blogline of the Day – Dystopia and New Urbanism combo??

We’re only one Zombie Apocalypse away from affordable housing.” Given their misplaced priority on New Urbanism and affordable housing (for a village of 6400 people), shouldn’t “Progressive Peterborough” be thinking about this as an “out of the box” solution? (As seen at TreeHugger – who knew?)

“Google’s LGBTQ+ Totalitarians”

Here’s the obligatory part: I generally don’t post up an entire post from elsewhere but I really can’t figure out how to better comment on it than what has already done.  I will, however, section it a bit. So…. SHOT: A perfect example of how the SJWs have taken over at Google: Dozens of Google employees … Read more

Notable Quote – unknown

“My biggest takeaway from the candidates in the Dem debates is there doesn’t seem to be any joy in any of them. They all seem to live in a perpetual state of anger, resentment and envy that absolutely poisons their lives. Those aren’t attractive qualities in political candidates. Say what you want about Trump but … Read more

Budgets

Gov Sununu Vetoes The Democrat’s Tax and Spend Budget

The Democrats decided to pull the same financial stunt just before Bill O’Brien became speaker. Create a structural deficit by using “today’s surplus” to up the amounts spent in following years.  But current financial revenue performance is no indication of the future. Who knows if the State’s revenues will remain high especially if these bills, … Read more

First Dem debate 2019 night 1

“By their debates, ye shall know them”

OK, I’m plaigerizing, a tad, Matt 7:16 (“Ye shall know them by their fruits”) and I swapped the clauses around, well, just a couple takeaways from the two nights.  I actually missed most of both of them because of meeting but I think that these perfectly summarize the mindset of the mainstream Democrat elected politicians: … Read more
