It is our country’s birthday today. Celebrate it and take a reverent moment or two to reflect on how good of a country we have been bequeathed by our Founders’ vision of exalting personal freedoms and liberties unlike any other country in history.
I, for one, am thankful, to be in a country that has given me much and has allowed me MY pursuit of Happiness. No, in a lot of ways, I haven’t achieved all that I thought I might when I was younger – Life intrudes in that matter. Yet, when the Grandson is sleeping in my arms as I sit on the couch, gazing onto his innocent face, and then look over to TMEW and she just nods, well, that is Happiness indeed.
We have been truly blessed and thankful for God’s mercies and His blessings. Enjoy the day.
