But WAIT! WAIT! Jan Schmidt – there is no NRA in Australia!

“According to the AP, this could be the worst mass killing that Australia has seen in 22 years.

Ah yes, the Progressives/anti-Constitution folks just can’t live up to their own words of “tolerance” and “inclusion” when it comes to others, not of their own mind. Especially with Obama’s bitter clingers to their Bibles and their guns gaffe. They merrily go along, logic-free, saying that if you were to take away everyone’s guns, all the killing sprees would go away.  Humpf – like they did here?

SHOT:

The last mass killing of such a caliber occurred in 1996 when a lone killer massacred 35 people and injured 18 more in Port Arthur, Tasmania.

So, Dave Solomon from the Union Leader, who was your little snitch that ran right to you?

SnitchNot that I would expect him to tell us but it is clear that somebody thought they could puff up their chests for some dufus reason.  At least he quoted my printed word correctly:

And they wonder why the base is starting to snarl.

(It’s hard to miss when it is in black and white). And what I’ve said before, is that Concord often follows Washington DC in Republican voting, has been repeated once again. Major bills that should have passed, after we gave the GOP the House, the Senate, and the Corner Office, have failed. Important ones to the conservative base.  Ones that should have breezed through – if the NH GOP patrolled itself a bit better.  We do the heavy lifting come vote time – like any investor, we expect an ROI on that investment of time, effort, and sometimes, real money. At the end of the season, why shouldn’t we, like investors at quarterly/end year, look back and say “were they worth it”?  What you’re hearing is “er, nope” (stronger terms should be imagined).

On another meeting I DIDN’T go to – Kevin Landrigan goes with the “rotten peeps, those GOPers are” with his headline

Kevin LandriganQuick Thought:

NH GOP members exclude delegate from convention, take no action on her pro-gay-rights proposals
By KEVIN LANDRIGAN

Yes, I slap them around when it is needful – but I’ll go the other way when needed as well. The NH GOP did no such thing as exclude a delegate from the NH GOP Convention yesterday. So he is one of two three four things:

  • He’s an outright liar
  • He’s fishing for clickbait
  • He’s wishing to cast aspersions of guilt amongst the Union Leader readership
  • He’s lazy.

Or all four.  He’s been around NH politics a long, LONG time – he knows better than to do this unless he was intent on making trouble where none exists. Yet, he decided to take a fact and make it an unfact: what’s a delegate by the rules?

Really Jan Schmidt? Are you that clueless?

SHOT: The number of people that the National Rifle Association (and by their support, WDLNH) killed last year………zero. BARRAGE: Jan Schmidt supports Planned Parenthood.  Last year, they (from their own report and her, via her support of them), killed 328,348 babies. Who is the domestic terrorist, Jan Schmidt? I was at a meeting this afternoon…

Pastor pulpit from behindLet me just say that this from 2013 kinda speaks to it. No, not kinda – exACTLY this meaning:

Now, as to the “prefer to blog instead of writing a newsletter or work to get Republicans elected or do other positive stuff for the Party” stuff, let me direct you first to this this (it will point you back to the first part).  Now, let me reproduce what conservative political strategist Jon Henke once said when he tried to explain to politicos what bloggers are (even though it was said a few years ago now, its premise has changed little since then) (paraphrased):

I was at a meeting this afternoon…and let me add this

Stop

SHOT: but what about all the bad stuff we stopped? Doesn’t that mean anything to the “base”?

CHASER: Of course it does – but don’t tout your horn over it over and over.

Why?  We EXPECT that to be done – it should go almost without question. If those bad things were outside of the Platform or Constitutional bounds, it should be an automatic “You shall not pass” (H/T: Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail). It is a measure of quality against your Standard.  We know what that is – both are easily found.  We expect that you know them, that they guide you, and such elected politicians, when you swear your oath to defend it or campaign under that banner that they would be uppermost in your mind when contemplating whether to sign or veto.

I was at a meeting this afternoon…and add this

  • Consider the conversion sexual attraction / therapy ban bill, HB 587?
  • Consider the education savings account bill, HB 1636 (formerly SB193)?
  • Consider the Medicaid Expansion bill (I can’t remember the bill number)

Isn’t the first one:

  • Affirmation of the Democrat Identity Politics agenda?
  • WHY would you strengthen their Cultural Marxism tool against your own Party?
  • And isn’t it an affront to both the First Amendment (free speech), and Articles 4, 6, 22, 30, 32, and 38? And quite a few of the NH GOP Platform statements (free people, religious freedom)?  WHY are the Republicans allowing themselves to be hauled into the Democrat “hate speech” canard?  Is this yet another canard in which elected Republicans are meekly falling into line so they won’t have to hear “bad words from the Dems and the media” or worse, “let’s just take this off the table so they can’t use it against us”.  As Kimberly is wont to say

Notable Quote – Keith Hanson

Republicans may hold office, but Democrats hold the power. Republicans, despite holding the majority, continue to defer to Democrats (seemingly out of decency) when they should utilize the majority to their advantage, the exact same way that Democrats would if the majority were in their favor. -Keith Hanson, radio talk show host and activist. No, revenge doesn’t have to be served on a cold dish

Perhaps; no one can tell me that revenge isn’t a part of politics.  In this case, I would say that, given how Obama treated Trump at that White House Correspondents Dinner a few years ago, this may well be the case.  Unfortunately, Obamanauts project this onto anyone that did and continues to oppose the Lightbearer’s … Read more

Proving that the Leftist Feminists are always on the hunt to be offended

pussyhats-racist-transphobic-feminists-say_0

…At about 10:20 a.m., Lebow stepped into the Hilton’s crowded elevator a moment before Sharoni. Someone near the front of the elevator (he says it was a man, she says it was her) asked what floors everyone wanted, so that they could push the appropriate elevator buttons. He responded with the comment (he says it was “ladies lingerie,” but she heard “women’s lingerie”), resulting in a chuckle from some of the elevator passengers. Sharoni says she froze, and did not respond in the moment, but that she made note of his name tag.

And the offense level goes from 0 to 11 in a heartbeat?

Quick Thought: Feds Approve NH Medicaid Expansion ‘Work Requirement’

Obamacare-ScrewedSteve beat me to the punch on the announcement that the able-bodied recipients will have to work or be bettering themselves in order to continue to get free healthcare.  The Hill added this:

The waiver program will also require co-pays for Medicaid recipients who make more than 100 percent of the poverty level.

“Work requirements help lift able-bodied individuals out of poverty by empowering them with the dignity of work and self-reliability while also allowing states to control the costs of their Medicaid programs. They help people gain the skills necessary for long-term independence and success,” New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) said in a statement.

People don’t always value “free” when other people are paying for that “free” thing on an institutional things. I’ve seen it up close when running our daycare.  When one has to put their own skinny into the picture,

“Actors Cold Read Facts on FEMINISM Off of a Teleprompter”

Things generally aren’t always cracked up for the Left when facts enter into the equation: “Near the conclusion of the video, another of the actresses, apparently feeling duped, says, “I thought this was like, feminism. … I’m realizing what this is now.”” (H/T: The Blaze)

A good guy with a gun…another DGU

Liberal Gun control like drunk dirivngOK, a good LADY with a gun stops a burgler – a Defensive Gun Use:

“First I thought I was dreaming, and then I looked out the window, outside. I was still hearing the banging, banging, banging, so I yelled to whoever, ‘Who’s that on my door? Get off my door, get off my door.’” That happened at about 4:30a Saturday morning, but Philadelphian Maxine Thompson was very much awake. Despite her warnings, the alleged burglar didn’t stop and continued to smash her dining room window and enter the house. Thompson, going into survival mode, grabbed her late mother’s handgun and shot at the suspect. She told Fox 29 it was her first time using the gun.
