NOAA “Above Average Hurricane Season” Prediction Update – No Named Storms in July/Aug

In keeping with the Climate Cult’s inability to predict a damn thing (where are those Vegas odds I keep asking about?), the Atlantic hurricane season has stumped them again – with a feat not duplicated since 1941.

NOAA Predicted Above Average Hurricane Season so How’s That Working Out?

In May, NOAA declared from its now mostly political perch that the 2022 Hurricane Season (June 1 to November) would  result in “above-average hurricane activity this year.” It’s mid-August, nearly halfway into the “season,” and the shelf life of that prediction clock is ticking.

Hurricane Season is Almost Over – So … How’d That Go?

Hurricanes are a pillar of the climate fearmongering community, so we tend to spend (perhaps too much) time on them. We think it matters. The conquest of American liberty is paved with things like government control of health care and energy (through climate policy), and 2024 was supposed to be the year the earth got … Read more

What do Hurricane Season And Public Education Have In Common?

You might not be interested in posts about the Atlantic hurricane season, but you should. It is a pillar of the climate cult mythology to justify political tyranny. The whole project is economic, disguised behind scientism, and operates like a religion. And their prophets are lousy prognosticators. They get nothing right, but this year’s Atlantic … Read more

More Hurricanes Ministry Asks Us to Have Faith

Google tossed this bone at me the other day. “National Hurricane Center tracking 4 tropical waves as we near the peak of storm season.” The headline comes from TC Palm, serving South Florida (part of USA Today). As an observer and blogger, I was caught by such things. Holy crap, I thought, here it comes! … Read more

Media Jumps The Shark With Early Hurricane Hysteria

June 1st marked the beginning of hurricane season in the Atlantic basin. As we reported previously, everyone has been saying how warm the water is and appears desperate to see some storms. They were so desperate that on June 1st, the news was that they were tracking five tropical waves. FIVE!

Atlantic Hurricane Season is Almost Here – Get Your Climate Hyperbole Ready!

You can feel it in the air (Phil Collins or Bernie Seigle?)—the promised energy of a heated Atlantic hurricane Season. The oceans are boiling, and we are overdue for an above-normal number of storms in the Atlantic Basin. This should be a banner year for storms.

As Hurricane (Tropical Storm) Lee Finishes Its “Drive-By,” Who’s Next?

September is living up to its reputation as the peak month for Hurricanes. Storms are pouring off the west coast of Africa in rapid succession, Lee being the latest Hurricane, followed by TD 15, which is projected to be CAT3 when it reaches the Sargasso Sea in a few days.

Atlantic Throws CAT 5 Hurricane Lee Toward the Eastern US

There are currently two storms making their way across the Atlantic. Lee (currently a CAT 5 hurricane) and Margot (Tropical Storm). The estimated track for Margo suggests she will wander north away from land, but Lee is headed straight for us.

Should We Believe The Media Hype Linking Hurricane Idalia To Climate Change?

hurricane Idalia left a path of destruction across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina this week. It was a big, impactful, dangerous storm that has negatively impacted thousands of lives, like so many big and powerful storms that have made landfall in the United States.

Hurricane Season has Arrived! Tropical Depression Expected to Make US Landfall as a Hurricane.

Hurricane Hilary, doing business as a tropical storm, gave Southern California and Arizona much-needed rain. Yes, they had a lot of winter runoff, but they are terrible at managing it, so more is usually better.

US Media Getting “Desperate” for Any Hurricane – How About in California?

It’s far too early in the season to be worried about whether we’ll have a hurricane or three to grease the gears of the global warming fear machine. But the media is getting desperate. They are grasping at anything they can find to scare you.

It’s Almost August and The Hurricane Forecast is in Trouble

June was a bust, and July is not helping if you NOAA what I mean. Hurricane activity so far – considering all the hyperbolic ranting about global warming and super-heated oceans, has been sparse. A handful of ‘disturbances,’ no hurricanes, and only two tropical storms, neither of which has amounted to anything.

ICYMI The Atlantic Hurricane Season Is Almost One Month Old, And So Far …

We’ve had three named storms in June. Arlene and Bret didn’t get very far, and while Cindy managed to rise to the level of a Tropical storm, she gave up a few days ago just north of the Dominican Republic.

We’re Only Ten Days Into June and NOAA’s Summer Temp and Precip Trial Balloon is Losing Altitude

You’ll have heard the “news.” Hyperbolic predictions for another El Nina summer. My past reporting, and I’m no expert, suggests there’s no discernable pattern for temperature or precipitation even as that itty-bitty trace gas, CO2, has claimed a few parts per million.

Since Skip Mentioned NOAA and Drought… There’s No Evidence Connecting CO2 and Drought (Or NOAA and Predictions)

A few hours ago, Skip shared NOAA’s predictions for the summer weather – above Average temps and normal or slightly above for precipitation. And this is where I remind everyone how bad NOAA is at this.

NOAA Predicted a Mild/Drier Winter: Record Snowfall Closes Yosemite Natl. Park For Foreseeable Future

NOAA Predicted a Mild/Drier Winter as Record Snowfall Closes Yosemite Natl. Park For Foreseeable Future Grant-hungry Climate Cultists can code computer models that auger global conditions years or decades from now, but they can’t predict this. Yosemite got so much snow this winter they closed the park on Feb 25th and for the foreseeable future.

It’s Official: 2022 Had the Weakest Hurricane Season in 42-Years

We spent a good bit of energy focusing on the 2022 hurricane season in part becasue the experts said it would be above average. Regular readers will know they were wrong. It was below average. But now we know how far below.

2022 Hurricane Season Confirms (Again!) No Connection Between CO2 and Cyclone Energy

If you recall, way back in February, the shamans and witchdoctors at NOAA – revered by the Climate Cult for their computer modeling wisdom – predicted a busier-than-normal Atlantic hurricane season for 2022. It wasn’t even just below average.

Agency That Botched Hurricane Season Prediction Says Northeast Will be Warmer and Drier This Winter

NOAA, the experts who completely botched the 2022 hurricane forecast, have consulted the goat entrails and announced their winter predictions for the United States. If you live in the Northeast, they say it will be a warmer, dryer winter. Can we believe them?
