After the jump, NH House Majority Leader DJ Bettencourt gives his talk to the crowd at the Whipple Library (numbering about 100 folks):

Democrat Election Law Flashback! (It’s not just Voter Fraud…)

The New Hampshire Dead People party (NHDP) has made voter fraud easy so they could commit it at will while continuing to insist there is none.  And proof is not proof.  Getting a ballot without even a challenge is not an example of how easy it is to ….get a ballot without being challenged.

Another example of that is sign stealing, which also violates election law, unless you are the husband of a Democrat NH State Senator, captured on film, in the act of stealing campaign signs.  We don’t have voter fraud, even when we have it.  So we must not have sign stealing democrats either.  But we do.  (Geoff Wetrosky…you are on deck buddy–Geoff came from out of state to steal signs and votes, while living in then NHDP Chairman Kathy Sullivan’s house, and no one was prosecuted for that either.)

So since no one ever get’s prosecuted, I’d like to celebrate voter fraud-deniers awareness month with another example of left wing disregard for election law.  Originally posted in November 2010, it’s ‘Ray Buckley’s Norman Rockwell’…

Voter ID laws: Disenfranchising People Since…eh…When?

“American youth attributes much more importance to arriving at driver’s license age than at voting age.” Marshall McLuhan

Opponents of Voter ID laws argue the laws stifle turnout among students, poor people and minorities, who are more likely to vote for Democrats but might lack government-issued IDs, such as driver’s licenses and passports. And that is a totally flawed notion.

Why is that notion so flawed? Simple. Let us look first at the largest demographic in the U.S. who is most likely to seek out  public assistance of any kind. In doing so, lets look at a program or two that are universally recognized:

The NHDP Presents…The Voting Dead

The New Hampshire Democrat Party and democrat legislators everywhere, in association with Granite State progress,  Granite State Fair Tax Coalition, the UCC, NHCC, and every other so-called by-partisan-but-in-reality-left-wing-front-group pretending there are no problems with vote fraud in New Hampshire, present a new made for fraud miniseries….The Voting Dead.  Watch for it…at every future election in … Read more

To all NH Taxpayer Activists – A message from Ed Naile

From Ed Naile: To all NH Taxpayer Activists: The Drudge Report has a story today about James O’Keefe and his Project Veritas investigative journalists asking for NH Open Primary ballots as though they were registered voters in New Hampshire.  The Project Veritas journalists posed as voters using the names of deceased NH residents of the … Read more

GrokTALK! Special Interview – James O’Keefe of Project Veritas

Earlier this evening, I had the opportunity to talk with James O’Keefe of Project Veritas concerning the NH First In The Nation Voter Fraud video that has gone viral in the blogosphere and has ignited a firestorm of commentary and angst here in NH (and of course, we have commented upon it all starting here … Read more

Leftists Say (Write) The Darnedest Things!

“We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.” —Benjamin Franklin
On The Project Veritas Voter Fraud Project: Being curious, I went over to UnionLeader.com to see what the leftists had to say. One aspect about Leftists weighing in on a UL story is that they cannot help themselves. Sure enough, they didn’t disappoint!  There is the much-predicted name-calling, personal assaults on the character of others who post, deflection, and rank condescension.

SO I thought I might do this fun little exercise where a few of the comments are showcased. Here is what I found:

League of Women Voters Now Hissing at Project Veritas Video

“Perhaps that suspicion of fraud enhances the flavor.” —C. S. Forester

Shrew
SHREW: (SHroo) def. 1. A small mouse-like insectivorous mammal (Sorex, Crocidura, and other genera, family Soricidae) with a long pointed snout and tiny eyes. 2. A bad-tempered or aggressively assertive woman.

The New Hampshire League of Women Voters call James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas video, “A Fraud.” The League has called for the prosecution of, “these out of state con-artists.” As Reported in today’s edition of the New Hampshire Union Leader.  Let the slash and burn begin, I say! These types of fights are the stuff dreams are made of.

Juxtaposing this anti-voter ID push-back with the viewpoint of the average citizen who votes, but does not dabble in activist partisan rancor, an overwhelming majority of those citizens agree it is perfectly reasonable to show who one is to vote on election days. Maintaining the integrity of a system, intended to incorporate the duty of one person, one vote, gels with average sensibilities and common sense.

Project Veritas Video: What Manchester And Nashua Officials Say

“There is no voter fraud problem in New Hampshire. We already have strong elections laws that are effective in regulating our elections.” —Governor John H. Lynch, in his July 2011 veto address of HB129

The New Hampshire Union Leader Front Page feature today: Video alleges voter fraud in NH. Granite Grok’s Skip Murphy yesterday aptly pointed out Governor Lynch’s position where he stated back in July,

There is no voter fraud problem in New Hampshire. We already have strong elections laws that are effective in regulating our elections.

That has been the key Democratic talking point right down the line. From our own Attorney General to Ray Buckley, “Shrill” Kathy Sullivan, and a gaggle of RINO’s in the legislature. Opponents continued to push back against Voter ID claiming whole groups of people would be denied access to the polls under this bill. In vetoing HB 129 bill last Summer, Skip also pointed out in the governor’s veto message:

NH has Voter Fraud? – Hey, How About We Arrest The Messengers?

Voer fraud in New Hampshire - The dead have risen to vote in the NH primaryThe Project Veritas punking of the gaping holes in New Hampshire’s voting process is priceless.   If you missed it, they used the names of dead people to get ballots in this weeks First in the nation NH primary and posted the video of that on-line.  It demonstrated that vote stealing is not just possible, it is as easy as many of us have claimed for years, and happened just months after Governor Lynch vetoed a voter ID measure in which he claimed…

There is no voter fraud problem in New Hampshire.  We already have strong elections laws that are effective in regulating our elections.

And Secretary of State Gardner SWEARS that there is no voter fraud in NH?

I got a tip just after 2pm that the story has broken that James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas has done yet another undercover investigation.  First, however, let’s set the stage with what Gov. Lynch has said:

The right to vote is a fundamental right that is guaranteed to all citizens of this State under the United States and New Hampshire Constitutions. An eligible voter who goes to the polls to vote on Election Day should be able to have his or her vote count on Election Day. SB 129 creates a real risk that New Hampshire voters will be denied their right to vote.

Voter turnout in New Hampshire is among the highest in the nation, election after election. There is no voter fraud problem in New Hampshire. We already have strong elections laws that are effective in regulating our elections.

Riiiggghhhttt!  Really?  Who are you going to believe – Lynch and Gardner’s closed eyes or your lying eyes:

Lying eyes: as in “the same thing time after time – walk up, give some dead guy’s name, confirm the address, and get a ballot.  Simple.  Fraudulent.”  And you watched it over and over.  Project Veritas chose NH’s First In The Nation Primary to investigate voter fraud here in NH – and they certainly found a number of problems here yesterday at a number of polling places:

On New Hampshire Primary Day, Project Veritas sent a team of investigators into polling places with a list of deceased voters to see if they would be permitted to vote.

We tested more than a dozen polling places, simply walking up and stating the name of the deceased, and in all but one instance — where an alert poll worker actually knew the recently deceased — we were handed ballots.

While our investigators cast no votes and returned the ballots, there was nothing stopping our team from illegally influencing the outcome of a presidential primary.

With the 8 vote margin in the 2012 Iowa Caucus, it is clear that voter fraud can influence the outcome of an election.   It is important to note that Project Veritas’ team had the ability to cast more than a dozen votes in this latest investigation.

This has gone viral in the blogosphere and I just wish that I had been able to post this up earlier – but there will be more coming!

NH Rep. Timothy Horrigan just doesn’t get it when it comes to Voter ID

‘Grok reader John D (and being that I am on his email list, put up things that he sends around from time to time.  This time, NH Rep. Horrigan decided to tangle with John concerning Voter ID:

Under existing NH law, the state would have to pay for the “free” voter IDs. NH’s proposed legislation (which is not identical to Indiana law) would cost millions of dollars to solve a problem which (going by the hard data) is almost nonexistent.

Now, given everything else that the State seems to pay for, I’d be more than willing to move budgetary priorities around such that other things would not paid for to ensure that the integrity of the vote, MY vote, would be protected.  Fraudulent voting weakens not only the process but the whole idea of the right and responsibility of being a citizen.  And knowing that my vote, as well as all other citizens’, would be protected, I (the normally tight fisted fiscal conservative) would grudgingly happily pay for that.

Well, John decided to take Timothy to task by listing a few “lesser priority” items for which photo ID is mandatory (both in the private AND public sectors):

Actually, they are referred to as a “Non-Driver ID”. Since all New Hampshire issued driver’s licenses include a photo, those who don’t or no longer drive have found a need for a phote ID:

Airports, Hospital, Pharmacy, Donating blood, Banks & Credit Unions, Gun Shop [to purchase a firearm -Skip], Writing a check, Adoption agency, Social Security office, Pawn shop, Jail, Using a credit card, Court

Voter Fraud Workshop Tonight

Ed Naile, the Chairman of the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers, will be holding a Voter Fraud Workshop tonight. It is sponsored by the Manchester 912 group and starts at 6:30 PM.

Your Vote Is Worth Millions- Maybe You’d Like To Protect it?

SB 129 is coming up for a veto override vote in the New Hampshire Senate in the next week or so. (The Union leader referred to it as SB 189, this morning, which is incorrect.) SB 129 would require ID to vote in New Hampshire. It would afford the same protection to your vote as it does to dozens of other things you need an ID for.

Voter ID? NH Used to do it years ago…

Over the past several years we have been hearing much about Voter Fraud or Election Fraud; something the left swears doesn’t occur and the right says occurs more than ever. So, who do we go with? Mr. Lindner says a Voter ID bill: "…will not only make it impossible for thousands of already registered voters … Read more

Thank you Republicans for securing our constitutional right to vote

The people of New Hampshire have Republicans to thank for securing their right to vote and every other liberty that comes with that right.

If it wasn’t for SB 129, which passed the House by a wide margin on Wednesday, we would continue to have no way to verify a person could legitimately vote in New Hampshire.

Under current law, we are giving people the chance to vote when they shouldn’t, and that threatens the very core of our Constitutional Republic. Without verifiably fair elections, how can we know if our elected representatives, senators and governor are using legitimate authority to make and enforce the laws we must abide by? Without a guarantee that our elections are fair, this authority can be legitimately questioned. If we really care about our liberty and our security, we don’t want such ambiguity in our election process.

Government, as Founder Thomas Paine said, is a “necessary evil” because it can provide the structure to protect the rights of all citizens equally under the law. As our Founders understood it and as those of us intent on restoring our Constitutional Republic understand it, there are just uses of government, and protecting the constitutional right to vote is absolutely one of them. The best way for a government to protect everyone’s right to vote is to provide an orderly process that ensures that only people who have that right are actually voting.

The bill just passed by the Legislature, which is now headed to the governor’s desk, requires voters to present…

Obama – Campaign 2012 Prep-Talk!

Obama%202012.JPGThe Obama campaign has released it’s "trailer" for the 2012 campaign movie called "I’m In."  I’m not, but since they sent it to me I figured I’d watch it. Jim Messina, Obama’s campaign manager, clues us in, and the first slide he shows us is this one.

My mind translated these five points into "truths" almost immediately–which is what encouraged me to write this post.

1. Register more illegal aliens, cartoon characters, and dead people.

2. Make up more names–useful as both voters and undisclosed credit card donors.

3.  Use that money to buy more astroturfers.

4.  Figure out if we need to register more fake names, and get more illegal contributions to buy more astroturfers.

5. If we don’t think we can steal it just intimidate whitey–no one will prosecute.

So right out of the gate we’ve got possibilities.  Unfortunately, the remaining discussion and slides, while exciting to whatever Obamazombies may still have the juice to lie and deceive for dear leader, and more like an Amway sales pitch with lots of talk about how new and different this campaign is, but how they’ll have to do the same things they did before–just better.

One problem.  Obama has a record that his supporters and the media cannot hide.  So be prepared to listen to the horde of left wing liars as they spread like a disease across your neighborhood to sell Obama 2.0.

My suggestion?  Ask them the questions the media never did.  Challenge every assumption.  give them facts, and send them away crying behind their clip-boards.

The entire video is available on the jump.
