Obamacare and the IRS – such a cute couple

So much for Democrats wanting to protect your privacy – I guess, like all of the anti-war protesters when Bush was President, the privacy advocates have all gone silent in support of The Won.  It just goes to show that for almost all Progressives, it’s all for show – if they truly believed in what they have told us, they’d be marching on DC.  Much time and energy has been spent on the Individual Mandate and the IPAB (aka “the death panels”).  Well, here’s a part that I didn’t know – or realize:

The IRS will also determine who is eligible for taxpayer-financed subsidies to purchase health care on the exchanges that will be set up in every state. Anytime anyone’s situation changes — a raise, a new job, a move to another state — that person will be required to report it to the IRS for the purpose of recalculating their eligibility.

Got that??  Generally when you have a serious change in life, and you have to report that event to…Mom.  Or Dad.  Or some other loved one or friends.

So, what have the Democrats wrought here?  That’s right – just ONE MORE STEP in having Government be your family (like it or not).  So, how’s that gonna feel – literally having a brand new Big Brother (again, brought to you by Democrats as not one Republican voted for this Liberty crushing, 2700 page fiasco.  Why is it beginning to feel like it should be called not Obamacare but ObamaBigBrother or ObamaJail ?  How’s it feel to now know that the IRS is now an intimate member of your family?  Now that you’ve gone “all growed up”, Democrats like President Obama and Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH)  and (at the time of Obamacare passage) Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) and Hodes(D-NH) decided that you STILL needed a set of parents – and they thought it just a dandy idea that it be the folks that “touch” you every April 15th (there has to be a Democrat joke in there somewhere…)

Data Point – annual Presidential deficits since 2000

What is startling is viewing this from the promise that Obama made that he would reduce the annual deficit by half. He didn’t.  Not even close.  And ask yourself – how much credence do you now give the Obama Administration’s guesses? (H/T: Instapundit)

Obama Admits to “Performance Issues.”

Did you hear this one?  Barack Obama, speaking to Hollywood’s 1% at yet another fundraiser, in explanation for failing to show up for the first of only 3 debates he will have with Romney in front of America, said he can’t perform flawlessly night after night. Performance issues Mr. President? A few observations… Some of … Read more

tracfone- provider and benefactor of the Obama PhoneThe now infamous Obama supporter who got herself an ObamaPhone, very likely got it from TracFone.  Guess who runs TracFone?

“Obama couldn’t run a lemonade stand”, No Kidding, Who Can?

A fellow Granite Stater said, “Obama couldn’t run a lemonade stand“.  Good for him, I say.  I take his point:  the bumbler in chief is so over his head that he can’t even muster the intellectual skill it takes to even perform a simple grade school task.  But this guy should have used another example like, “Obama can’t fill out the forms that his type’s are forcing us to fill out when we want to brave opening a lemonade stand”.

“Obama couldn’t run a lemonade stand”, yeah, no kidding. Who can?  Well no one can save the most artfully diligent bureaucracy seeking masochist and the well connected.

That statement used to mean something.  It used to impart a negative meaning on subject of the claim.  But it no longer has such a meaning.  No one can run a lemonade stand any more without the proper registration, licenses, fees, permits, and Department of Lemonade Stand approval to ensure that you’re in compliance with registration, licenses, fees, and permits.

The media fantasy-world built around Obama

This from Andrew Klavan in City Journal, observing on the entirely predictable outcome of the recent televised debate: “Obama’s hapless fumbling, bad temper, and inarticulate inability to defend his record were actually thoroughly predictable. They were simply facets of the man as he truly is, unfiltered by the imagination of his media supporters: a man who … Read more

Obama couldn’t avoid his record … or What went down Chris Mathews’s leg?

That wasn’t a tingle going down Chris Matthews’s leg during the Presidential debate. Apparently four years of media worship, avoiding meaningful questions, and reliance on teleprompters are not great debate preparation. Consequently, the Obama campaign failed to set expectations low enough for President Obama.

President Obama must have expected to be able to keep the debate about his (four year old) promises for the future and debunked lies about Romney’s plans. He failed; he couldn’t keep the debate away from his own failed record.

And now Axelrod is calling out the Progressive troops – Democrat Operatives with bylines

“To you and your whole crew have a powerful influence on the political scene,

you have an obligation as well to check some of these allegations”

Axelrod – Obama’s svengali of campaign, is probably STILL shaking in his boots.  How could that know-nothing, that businessman turned politician, that CAPITALIST, outsmart the country’s best Community Organizers whose head is forever encased in the Holy Light of Progressive Thought (Peace be upon Obamessiah) that has been so effective in dismantling America As We Knew It.  My GOSH, that usurper even bowed to the words in the Constitution and Declaration – BLASPHEMY!

And yet, the CAPITALIST kicked my guy’s butt all up and down the stage – did he know who he was talking to?  Where was the respect for the First Black President Of The United States (er, Bill Clinton aside).

So know he’s going to the shock troops for Democrat purposes – the Media (H/T: The Corner):

But Axelrod already has a BIG problem – they’ve been on this case, this Mission for Liberalism, for months now. They’ve painted Romney as

Black Vote In Question?

The fact that I even have to write a title like that is absurd but that’s where we are.  And we’re more ‘there’ now than before the great uniter floated into the Oval Office on a glowing cloud drawn by a color-blind team of bipartian BS.  So why might the black vote be in question? … Read more

“Point, Romney.”

Mitt Romney - Candidate for President - but is he a racist for running
Well, well, well....Mitt surprises us with his performance.

First the good. Obama’s leg-humping poodles in the mainstream media said “Romney abandoned the Tea Party!” That was of course typical MSM biased BS. On the contrary, Romney didn’t abandon the forceful Tea Party ideals at all. And that’s important. Here’s why….

The Thrill Is Gone…

Obama’s 2nd Debate Solution

The Obama campaign figured out the problem with last night’s performance, and how to surely make a comeback…

And Dems want to turn this behavior into a NH Value?

Childhood – expected dependency (that’s what kids are: dependent on their parents).

Adulthood? Not so much. But Barack’s campaign site thinks so.  Are we becoming a nation of dependent “children”?  Are we all that unwilling to put aside childish mannerisms (“Mommy, can I have a cookie?  Daddy, can I have a ten?”) and no longer are willing to act like adults?  Should adults put on a mantle of expecting everything to be given to them?

Sandra Fluke was the first thing that shot through my mind as I read this note (as in “hey Dad, tuition is not the only thing that is due at the end of the week – can that be my 32 Birthday present?”). Isn’t her insistence of demanding someone else paying for her responsibility the embodiment of the perpetual dependent child mentality?  At least the letter writer put the burden on her family; Sandra Fluke has determined that it is fine and proper for Government to be “her parent”; in that most intimate human acts, her claim to fame is to demand that Government provide for her”reproductive activities health”.

I will say this – I would never have ever thought of going “Yo, Dad?  You know what I need $18 grand for”?  Just the THOUGHT of even having the thought to ask is shameful.  Yes, shameful.

Yet, this is a Democrat Value – after all, Sandra Fluke spoke at one of Obama’s campaign rallies.  Given that it seems that the Democrat Party is fullbent “forward” on any policy that changes the relationship of and in a traditional family (how else would they EVER get Government to be “the parent”?

As offensive as it might seem to feminists and Bigger Government Progressives who believe that the Purpose and Role of Government is to provide for all of our needs in a libertine behavior world, when you strip out all of the yammering, this note writer’s message gets stripped down to telling Mommy “how mean it is that some faceless bureaucrat isn’t going to go grab some money from a taxpayer, run to the pharmacy, purchase her contraceptives, and deliver them straight away”. Oh, to be sure, there is gonna be some Progressive out there screaming “How dare you deny us, you discriminator!”.

Put a sock in it as I’m not interested in your whining any more.

A plea for bi-partisanship: We can work together to make this happen.

In one month the American people will decide who will be the next President of the United States. The person elected will be the president of all Americans, not just the Democrats or the Republicans.
