You know its bad when Obama gets the virtual 2 X 4 from……

…Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad??? “How long can a government with a $16 trillion foreign debt remain a world power?” he asked at a press conference with Kuwaiti media personnel. “The Americans have injected their paper wealth into the world economy and today the aftermaths and negative effects of their pseudo-wealth have plagued them.” Look, he … Read more

Prez Debate: Income Inequality; Obama chest puffs but his female staffers purses aren’t so big

It seems that the Left is all a-giggle that when Romney became MA Guv, he asked for “binders full of women” when he was in the process of fulfilling a campaign process to have a larger-then-normal-number of women in his Cabinet.  Is NOW screaming at the Obama campaign for making sport of Mitt for putting women at the same level as men when considering qualified employees?   Nope (like, you really thought that was going to happen??).  Look at their post – they’re all in for the Progressive in the campaign (er, that would be Obama).  In fact, this is what they said:

…When an audience member asked about equality in the workplace, President Obama rightly pointed to the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act as one of his signature achievements;

…In fact, many of Romney’s budget policies are job killers for women…

All that LLFPA does (its main component) is do a reset of the statute of limitation and gives the aggrieved a longer time in which to file a claim – which may well be happening in Obama’s own employ!  What Romney should have pointed out was this:

Female employees in the Obama White House make considerably less than their male colleagues, records show.

According to the 2011 annual report on White House staff, female employees earned a median annual salary of $60,000, which was about 18 percent less than the median salary for male employees ($71,000).

That article also had this line in it:

How To Be Wrong ‘By Barack Obama’

CNS News reports that the CBO, the Congressional Budget Office, using data provided by Obama’s own Office of Management and Budget (OMB), announced today that taxpayers will lose 24 billion on the various Federal Bailouts. Meanwhile, over in ObamaLand, the president is telling whomever will listen that… “We got back every dime we used to … Read more

What Ohio Coal Miners Tell Us About Demorats

Ohio Loves Mitt - Obama War on coalThe Obama campaign doesn’t take credit for much but putting the coal industry out of business was never something they were shy about…until it became apparent that this might cost them Pennsylvania, Ohio, the Virgina’s and so on.  Despite this confluence of realities, the Obama Administration has also decided that despite their self-admitted war on coal, that there is no way that coal miners would ever back Mitt Romney who actually supports the coal industry. The Obama Campaign is accusing the Romney campaign of forcing miners to attend Romney/Ryan Rallies.

Perhaps the greatness of Obama lends itself to an appreciation of his awesomeness even if it means destroying the industry that feeds your family?

Not so much.  Five-hundred Ohio (OIHO?) Coal miners have signed a letter to Mr. Obama’s campaign telling them to knock it off.  The miners are calling the Obama campaign distortions “absolute Lies.”

The obligatory “Biden – the 85 interruptions” video

Yeah, I thought it was 82 but here is video:

Since the debate it is clear that there are two camps of different minds:

  • Biden played to the Dem base – who have applauded much for “giving it to the Evil choir boy”
  • Ryan played it cool, calm, and collected.

The insta-polls right after the debate showed the edge Ryan but most of the pundits pretty much said a draw.  The question seems to be “battle or war”?  Ryan made no major gaffes or mistakes while the optics for Biden, other than for his base, seemed troubling to the undecided – the very people who are being “politically stalked” right now with three weeks to go to Show Time.  The polls are still going in the right direction for Romney/Ryan – tomorrow should start seeing the “rolling-averaged” polls showing their results.  Then Tuesday – what will Obama do?

Obama’s move to a more Socialistic state – a warning from someone who grew up in a socialist state

“America’s wealth comes from the efforts of people striving for success. Take away their incentive with badmouthing success and you take away the wealth that helps us take care of the needy. Yes, in socialism the rich will be poorer — but the poor will also be poorer. People will lose interest in really working hard and creating jobs.”

A refugee from socialistic Hungary during the Cold War, Thomas Peterffy knew not just the economic ills of such a system but the moral decay of the human spirit of such a system.  This is the system that Obama and the other Democrat Socialists of America wish to put upon this nation.  Equality is one thing – under the law as the Founders believed true Freedom must have.  But they are looking to have a forced material equality, a forced “opportunity” equality, which forces the State to not promote equality for some but rather, establishes a faux equality by removing that very same freedom from “those that do not deserve it” or from those “that are fortunate” or those “that have more”.  In short, taking from those that have actually used the opportunity that America (til now) has afforded to everyone.

President Obama Inherited an Economy Coming Out of a Recession – Yes, You Read That Right.

For years now, and especially recently, we’ve been awash in rhetoric that claims that President Obama inherited a recession and that without spending $831,000,000,000 in stimulus money we don’t have the United States would enter into a depression.

The president’s door-to-door acolytes continue to hose the unlucky that answers the knock with claims that the president couldn’t do in 4 years what it took FDR 12 to accomplish.  The premise of this hogwash implies that the two conditions are comparable.  They’re not.  FDR was dealing with an actual depression (and protracting it, in my view, see Robert Higgs’ “Depression, War, and Cold War” for more information) and this president was not.

Well the acolytes can keep blasting the firehouse of mistaken rhetoric, but anyone that decides to shelter themselves from this falsehood can do so.  President Obama inherited an economy coming out of a recession.
