John Klar at American Thinker is thinking about the death knell for thousands of jobs in Vermont. COVID-19 may have killed 55 people (if that’s what killed them), but many thousands of livelihoods are on the line in the Green Mountain State, which got me thinking. Is anyone keeping track of the Granite State?
All I hear about in economic news is the unemployment rate and how high it is. Surprise!
“Experts” discuss what will happen when we get back to normal. At least the experts admit we are not in normal times. Thank God for small admissions.
The President said Tuesday his new U.S. immigration ban would be temporary. It applies to those seeking “green cards” for permanent residency. It is an effort to protect Americans seeking to regain jobs lost because of the coronavirus.
The loudest socialist mouthpiece in the House is AOC. She is cheering the news of plummeting oil futures. Monday oil futures went below zero. That means oil producers are paying processors to take the oil. Demand worldwide has plunged in response to the coronavirus.
The title is a quote from Brandon Morse at Red State. He is walking us through an incident where the Police in Raleigh, North Carolina broke up a lockdown protest. The point, of course, being that the first amendment protects that right and it was just infringed.
February etches another great month for job growth and wages in the Trump economy. The Nation’s unemployment rate dipped back down to a historically low 3.5% while wages grew three percent.
I’m not sure what I found more surprising. That the US government has a rule that allows you to collect social security disability benefits because you don’t speak English or that we are changing the rule to make collecting on those grounds more difficult.
If you are indifferent to the goals of the Greens, you are in for a rude awakening. The American Left’s Green New Deal (GND) really would have a catastrophic effect on our incomes and lifestyles. Don’t believe me? Exhibit One: a UK court just blocked a runway project at Heathrow Airport in London.
When the Democrats were too busy with fake impeachment to do any real work, New Hampshire’s economy was humming. That includes our foreign exports. For the third straight year, we set a new record according to NH Eonomy.com.
The takeaway message from Gov. Chris Sununu’s State of the State address on Thursday was that New Hampshire, like comedian Larry The Cable Guy, gets her done.
The left hates fracking. It creates jobs, stimulates growth in the economy, keeps energy prices down. All things they are happy to sacrifice on the altar of their green socialist god. So, is it any wonder Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a bill to end that growth and prosperity within five years?
While I appreciate the efforts of Vermont Democrats to drive more job creators and commerce into New Hampshire, I must take issue with blatant economic stupidity when I see it. Pseudo-Republican Gov. Scott has vetoed their minimum wage bill. The Democrat’s response is, well, stupid.
My first take on the State of the Union was that Nancy screwed up. Tearing up the speech was terrible optics. A speech loaded with good news (in particular) for women and minorities. Pelosi tore it up and team Trump is making Democrats pay a price.
We teased this Wednesday with ADP and Moody’s reporting that January 2020 had the single biggest monthly rise in payrolls since May of 2015. That lead the way for today’s Department of Labor Report. The economy added 225,000 jobs in January and wages are up.
Democrats sat on their hands as President Trump rattled off historical gains and record-breaking economic improvements for minorities in America. That’s not new, by the way. If you search their congressional web pages you won’t find a word about any of it.
President Trump’s recovery continues into 2020. CNBC is reporting some impressive numbers for January, which is typically a month when businesses shed jobs added for Christmas. They’re calling it the best monthly gain in private payroll since May of 2015.
We’ve had a thing or two to say about fracking. Good things. Not just to piss off Democrats who bought in on the Left’s lies about this valuable process and resource. We (rightly) think Fracking has been great for America. Bernie Sanders wants to ban it.

Happy New Year; are you happy it’s an election year? The Democrats have saddled themselves with an impeachment. Saddled fits because of its extremely partisan nature. It was from inception born of hate and lies. The Democrat primary debates, sans American flags, are still going on. Their audience is the most limited in history.
Politicians in states all around New England think they are economic geniuses. They know how much an hour of labor is worth for every job, everywhere? No! They don’t. But that hubris is New Hampshire’s gain as the New Year looms, and they force the cost of labor higher.
