For the Third Straight Year, New Hampshire Exports set a New Record

When the Democrats were too busy with fake impeachment to do any real work, New Hampshire’s economy was humming. That includes our foreign exports. For the third straight year, we set a new record according to NH Eonomy.com.

For the third straight year, New Hampshire exports set a new record, topping $5.8 billion in 2019, up 10 percent from 2018, according to federal trade data. … Aircraft parts for civilian aircraft was the state’s top export in 2019 and Germany continued to be the state’s top trading partner, followed by Canada, Ireland, Mexico and Japan.

Aircraft and spacecraft parts rose 68 percent to $1.3 billion from 2018, overtaking industrial machinery as New Hampshire’s leading export, followed by electric machinery, pharmaceutical products, and optics.

This might be a good time to remind you that it wasn’t just Federal level Democrats who were way off point. New Hampshire Dems, when they were not obsessing over banning drinking draws or giving Driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, were focused on raising business taxes, arbitrary increases in the cost of labor and raising energy prices. Three things that would have a direct and immediate impact on our ability to compete regionally and globally.

In other words, they are working as hard as they can to kill our great State economy.

“New Hampshire stands alone on the East Coast of North America as a low-tax, pro-growth location for domestic and international business market access into the U.S. or the East Coast, and we have every intention of aggressively growing the competitive advantage for our employers,” …

But New Hampshire Democrats are trying to pass the same bad legislation this session. It is non-stop Job killing, wage killing, left-wing meddling. They can’t get out of the way of their own narrative to see that by not following in the footsteps of the liberal states that surround us we not only create a better environment for job creation and wage growth in the state, we exponentially increase that potential.

New Hampshire looks like a better destination for job creators who want a physical presence in New England. More jobs, better jobs, more employer-backed training, lower unemployment, lower rates of poverty, and yes, more tax revenue.

But the left, obsessed with the idea that they know better sends warning signals every session with their scores of crappy anti-business bills. So, while New Hampshire looks good now, job creators have to ask, what’s the deal in five or ten years?

We not only need to stop the bills in the pipeline we need to stop the party that pushes them out of influence. For our economy to continue to blossom Democrats have got to go. Get them out of elected-office at every opportunity.

Because while we disagree with Governor Sununu on more than a few things we appreciate his commitment to the state economy and hope he continues to veto these bad bills.

New Hampshire is doing better with less government meddling as we always said it would. But he can’t be our only bulwark against the left’s endless assault on our economic prosperity.
