Quick Thought – If it wasn’t for double standards, they’d have no…

by Skip

Well, you know what the rest of that line is, right? I do agree with Jon that money is not the root of the NH GOP problems – but it is rather easy to point to as an overall symptom:

The silver lining is a timetable in which the membership of the Republican State Committee picks a new chairman in late January. Incumbent Wayne MacDonald of Derry took over a party last July that had $650 in the bank, $14,000 in bills and $48,000 in long-term debts.

“This isn’t any one person’s fault, especially Wayne, who was handed a bag of crap at the 11th hour,” posted Jon DiPietro, a conservative activist from Manchester. “But we had better get it fixed. There’s a presidential election in two years and it’s going to be here in the blink of an eye.”

Why, what is the problem here?  His immediate predecessor was Jeanne Forrester – and he was the Vice-Chair so he knew about the problem.  Now, the point of this post is not Wayne.  It IS about

“Honor Your Oath” rally – Closing remarks by Jack Kimball and Jeff Chidester

by Skip

The last video from yesterday’s Honor Your Oath Rally – which, er, isn’t much of a video.  It seems that the e-Gremlins decided to go nest in my camera for the last part of the rally – the files holding the closing remarks by Jack Kimball and Jeff Chidester got corrupted when I went to do the regular post-prodution processing.  I was able to (sorta) save them, but the video and the audio aren’t sync’d up at all.

So, I present for your listening pleasure:

“Honor Your Oath” rally at the State House in Concord, NH

Yesterday in at State Capital Building, the Granite State Patriot Liberty PAC (GSPLPAC) held its “Honor Your Oath” rally.  It was meant to reawaken the understanding that when those in military, those in law enforcement, and those elected officials, that the words they stay in taking the Oath that they did, they swore an Oath … Read more

Statement by Jack Kimball on Signatory Authority by the NH GOP Chair

by Skip

Former NH GOP Chair Jack Kimball’s statement concerning the email thread posted here on GraniteGrok of the situation concerning current NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn’s refusal to keep to her agreement to not seek signatory authority of the NH GOP’s bank accounts (and other financial instruments) (emphasis mine): Soon after my election as GOP Chair, … Read more

Roll Call Examines Why The NH-GOP is Such a Mess

Roll Call has an article that will be making the rounds.  According to some people from around the Republican firmamanet…

The Granite State’s political infrastructure is “a mess,” complain out-of-state GOP consultants, and the state has become an increasingly difficult place to run campaigns.

The article goes on to observe some coincidences with problems in the national party, problems with turnover in the party structure itself, and in the control of the legislature.  It then quotes “Tea Party Critic” Fergus Cullen, which I suppose makes sense because he happens to be one of the GOP “experts” at standing idly by while New Hampshire turned Purple, or is it Blue?

NH .223 Day of Resistance – Jack Kimball (Chair, GSPLPAC) and Donna Murphy

by Skip

The last speaker of the day at the NH .223 Day of Resistance was Jack Kimball.  A powerful speaker (no one evah wants to follow Jack in a speakers roster!), there is always one constant in each and every speech: his patriotism shines through large and bright.  He carries the weight of his oath to the Constitution that he swore when entering the US Navy – and that showed yesterday, loud and clear.  In his mind (and should be in everyone else’s as well) that we owe an allegiance, not to a given Administration, but to the ideals interwoven in our founding documents.  After all, we are a nation founded on ideals and not one based on geographical location, ethnicity, a given sect of religion, gender, or economic class (much to the consternation of Progressives who have adopted the class struggle argument of Marxists everywhere).

Donna Murphy was introduced to me during the event by Susan Olsen (the Event Organizer) to see if I could give her some time.  Not on the roster to speak, she wanted to represent the One Million Moms against Gun Control, after the event was officially over, I was happy to record her speech and promised to post it here (consider it done, Donna!)

“Line in the Granite” – Defend Your Gun Rights Rally – Jack Kimball

by Skip

This past Thursday was a Line in the Granite – People who take the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the US Constitution AND Article XX of the NH Constitution very seriously.  They gathered on the steps of the NH Capitol this past Thursday to let the politicians under the Golden Dome know of their seriousness and willingness to fight for that Right – especially for efforts that will result legislation that will not solve the problems they purport to address.

Certainly there were a number of folks addressing the crowd (estimates ranging from 250 to over a thousand; I’ll stick with about 6-700 for a good show of folks on a poor weather work-day afternoon).  Unfortunately, I could not be there due to work – thanks to Bill Wynne of the G

NHJournal – Where Spelling Is More Important Than Integrity

I have to admit that Shawn Millerick got me good when he said I couldn’t spell.  Actually, the problem is that I am not terribly adept at typing and I try to squeeze out posts before work and after the kids go to bed.  I’m not always thorough.  But on a positive note, I don’t make up meetings out of thin air to smear my political opponents.

Millerick would also like you to believe that I am insulting a female candidate (Jennifer Horn) when I use the word pimping.   I apologize if I was unclear.  I’m actually insulting him, NHJournal, and whoever it is in the GOP establishment that is yanking his pull string.

NH GOP vs NH DEM fund raising

by Skip

NH GOP Chair terms:

  • Fergus Cullen: 2007 – 2008
  • John Sununu: 2008 – 2010
  • Jack Kimball 2011 (Jan to Sept)
  • Wayne MacDonald: 2011 (Sept – Dec) – 2012

It is obvious that the threatened shutoff of donations from Washington during Jack Kimball’s term is easily seen; it also seems that NH based PACs also went along with a self-imposed drought. But it is also clear that from NH individuals, Jack Kimball did better than Wayne MacDonald (and just a little bit less in PAC and “other” contributions) yet Jack is the one that gets the political shaft – what hasn’t MacDonald received the same opproprium?.

In fact, looking at the “off-years”, it seems to be apparent that Jack Kimball did better than John Sununu?

Kevin Landrigan – how often do you call the subjects of your reporting?

Kevin Landrigan?  Did you even BOTHER to contact Jack?  Or is this merely simple plagiarism? “Defrocked Republican State Chairman Jack Kimball hosted a meeting Friday to express outrage about the Horn ascendancy and volunteered to run against her if no one else would.” You need to read the ‘Grok more often, or are your sources … Read more

NH Journal – I Have A Question

Pat Hynse flunky and NH Journal editor Shawn Millerick went to bat for the progressive (r)epublican establishment the other day by fabricating a secret meeting, with a select guest list, for the purpose of agitating the voting members to support the anointed NHGOP chairman of choice, Jennifer Horn–because hey, we have to come together and … Read more

NH Journal – Shawn Millerick: stooge for the Gnome of the North

by Skip

Well, I guess that the battle will now be joined.  Shawn Millerick is a partner / friend with Pat Hynes (a former friend and co-host in “Meet The New Press” radio show that was the number one talk show in the NH Lakes Region) in NH Journal (and other activities) decided that NH Journal was going to start to “shape the battlefield” with this “out of thin air” post:

Sources: Kimball to stage comeback attempt as party chairman

After having served a failed half-term as Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican State Committee – a term that ended in his last-second resignation just before being ousted – Jack Kimball may attempt to engineer a comeback and challenge Jennifer Horn for the post, sources tell NH Journal.

According to sources, Kimball will host a private strategy meeting on Friday to discuss the race for chairman and seek an opponent to Horn, who is backed by most party big-wigs. According to one source, if no other candidate emerges from the meeting, Kimball has said he would go for it.

Some of those invited to the meeting include Kimball, Skip Murphy, Diane Bitter, Joe Barton and Gerry and Sue DeLemus.

Really?  “Sources”?  Those in his head? So be it.  I sent that post to all the folks  to check because I was never contacted for verification.  Turns out, nobody was.  Simply put, this was a hit piece just like the Obama folks do – an attempt to discredit folks that might be playing a role in fighting yet another Sununu sock puppet.

Sources“?  Those in his head? Or those just whispering in his ear (the Left one)?  Journalistic Integrity? So be it.    #WAR

Let’s  follow some connections in a quick exercise of “Six degrees of Kevin Bacon”?

With This Bunch Failure Is Always An Option

I’m torn between thinking this is just sad or that it’s just funny.  Maybe ironic is a better word? First, the NHGOP establishment power brokers (who forced Jack Kimball out) just cleared the field to make sure that the preferred, groomed, in-debted (and in debt) to them, moderate-insider was the only candidate left running for the NHGOP chairmanship.
