By the end of this week New England will be back to being warm again. When that happens, I’d like all the climate denier-deniers to remember that yesterday parts of the North East got three feet of snow. That Alaska is having a winter several weeks longer than average. That nationally, temperatures are down. That globally temperature have been flat for 16 years and may be declining. That I don’t feel all that comfortable putting any plants outside after June 1st for fear we might still be at risk for a very cold night or two.

What I’m trying to say is, it’s just weather.

A gaggle of Congressional Democrats, led by Representative Barbra Lee, has submitted HCR 36, a House Continuing Resolution that asks the House to recognize that Global Warming has a disproportionate (negative) impact on women who could be forced to turn to “transactional sex” to survive.

So much for bringing home the bacon and frying it up in the pan. Global Warming just wrecked that.

That’s right. Non-existent global warming could be responsible for an increase in prostitution. (I bet even UNH didn’t see that coming.)

After I posted a quote from the Economist regarding flat temperatures over the past 15 years, one of the commenters on that post went all 97% on me. What is that? It is the years old, pre-programmed, AWG/Media narrative response to any challenger (see ‘denier’) of the so-called settled science of human driven climate change.

But the number is based on a bad survey, poorly employed, and aggressively tweaked, based on a sliver of respondents, from only a few countries, who just happened to pick the correct answers, to achieve a desired outcome– much like the so-called science of Global Warming itself. (Delete the emails, hide the decline, block opposing research!).

Having invoked the 97% fraud discussion was no longer going to be an option.

The Economist is a highly regarded global news source, though with admittedly left leaning tendencies. Its archives provide a global and international perspective on events here in America going back to before the American Civil War. And until recently it has been a proud sponsor of the intellectual argument for Climate change, formerly known as global warming. But their sensibility (at least on this issue) may have finally caught up with them.

OVER the past 15 years air temperatures at the Earth’s surface have been flat while greenhouse-gas emissions have continued to soar. The world added roughly 100 billion tonnes of carbon to the atmosphere between 2000 and 2010. That is about a quarter of all the CO2 put there by humanity since 1750. And yet, as James Hansen, the head of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, observes, “the five-year mean global temperature has been flat for a decade.”

If the weather man says it is “raining” but no one bothers to look out a window….? So somebody looked out a “window” then, did they?

When Mrs. Greene Jeanne ran for the Senate in 2008 she made a point of making some dire predictions about the ill effects of Global Warming–if left unattended. (Back in 2008 they were still calling it that even though there hadn’t been any warming in a while.) One of the dire consequences–none of which came true by the way, was an impact on New Hampshire’s Maple Syrup production. So every year we visit the topic.

And now, MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell decides to lend her most informed opinion to the fray:

Think about it – we can hamstring our economy just to make her feel good – after all, she is pretty well insulated from the actual industries that, you know, use energy to create wealth generating products and services. She earns a 1% living – far above what others do. Yet, while she could absorb the extra energy costs with ease, most normal folks can’t (they’re struggling now with gas prices that are spinning the dials faster and faster the last couple of weeks). But that’s the least of the idiocy:

I’ve been contaminated by the Hillary quip from a few weeks back and am guilty of tossing too much lefty behavior into the “who gives a crap” bucket where upon further inspection it’s just their ideology on display.

Al Gore was in Concord, New Hampshire the other day punishing the ears of those sensitive to the pang of blatant hypocrisy as he spoke for 45 minutes. After which he went on to punish a chair as he signed books for awhile. Punishing both the animate and the inanimate, that’s our former Vice President. Always looking out for number one, while holding an equal disregard for all of those receiving number two.
