In the name of getting along, a Democrat member of the US House has proposed a way to ensure the swamp stays swampy. She wants to permanently ban any Trump supporter from working for the Federal government, including serving in the military or elected office.

The Federal unemployment rate improved half a percent to 7.9%. Here in New Hampshire, the seasonally adjusted rate dropped 0.6%. State unemployment sits at 6% as the outlook continues to improve.
Another Massachusetts Cross-Border tax scam?
A bunch of lawyers on the Supreme Court said states could tax online sales as if the buyer was in the state making the purchase. No one in New Hampshire, even the Democrats, liked that much. And they seem to agree on a similar issue. Massachusetts is taxing employees in NH, working remotely on jobs in the Bay State.

According to the Bureau for Labor Statistics New Hampshire has lowered its unemployment rate by 3.6 points through June. The 38,000 people who have returned to work drove the unemployment rate down from 15.4% to 11.8%.
The US Economy Recovered 4.8 Million Jobs in June
June saw another record jump in employment, which is good news. But it is good news the same way that opening a dam lets the water take its natural course. The increase is a result of the government getting out of the way and the economy doing what it has wanted to do for months.
Data Point – so V shaped Recovery it is!
Well, at least it is starting to look that way: June private payrolls rose 2.37 million and there was a big positive revision for May, ADP says. “For the month, hiring was especially strong in the pivotal leisure and hospitality industry, which took the biggest hit as measures aimed at curbing the coronavirus spread meant shutting … Read more
Higher Tax, Less Rehiring
With the pandemic driven business shutdowns, New Hampshire is expecting enough of a drop in Business Enterprise Tax (BET) to trigger a tax rate increase under a law passed a few years ago. The BET is a tax on having employees.

Supreme Court Had to Rule Today that Identity Theft by Illegal Aliens is (drumroll) Illegal
If you thought paying people disability benefits for not speaking English in an English speaking country they probably chose to come to was dumb, get a load of this. After today’s ruling states can prosecute identity theft by illegal aliens under state law. They’ve declared it…illegal.
Say Thank You! The Vermont General Assembly Just Improved the New Hampshire Advantage
By one vote the Vermont House overrode Gov. Phil Scott’s veto of a bill to arbitrarily increase the state’s minimum wage. Legislators, it seems, know better than job creators what any starting hour of labor is worth across every profession. That’s fine. They just did New Hampshire a huge favor.

Dems Wear Traditional Klan Colors to SOTU While Trump Announces Record Low Black Unemployment
Democrats are bitter clingers. Not Max Klinger, though there could have been a man in that congressional audience wearing women’s white. No, I mean bitter clingers. Bitter the way a child glares at someone else who has the toy they say they wanted.
#NHEconomy goes BOOM – again – in December
Thanks to AFP-NH State Director Greg Moore for the headline and the link. I think Democrats must be disappointed, though. Their budget deal requires the economy to tank before they can raise taxes. They agreed to that.

The Internet is full of sites that do “best of” data-crunching on crime poverty, overall health, the standard of living, jobs, wags, opportunity. When it’s those categories, New Hampshire always seems to do well.

Trump Economy Generates Record Setting Middle-Class Gains in Income
Remember about 1000 so-called “scandals” ago? When Trump’s tax cuts and his economy were going to help the rich at the expense of the Middle Class. Guess what?
What role does the Government play in determining the level of employment in a free society?
Can a society be free if its economy is not free? My assertion to you is America can do better. In order for that to happen, we must understand what is wrong. We need to want to understand where we went wrong. We need to agree on how we can best adjust to remedy the error we have made.
NH Unemployment Still 2.5% as State Adds Jobs and Grows Labor Force
Yesterday the New Hampshire Department of Employment Security issued its Press Release for August. While Democrats try to override his vetoes today, Governor Sununu can sit back and smile about the jobs picture. Employment looks secured.
Report: Minorities Are Making Historical Economic Improvements in Trump Economy
We’ve been reporting this for years. Minorities are significantly better off under President Trump than they ever were under Obama, or Bush, or Clinton, or Bush. Yes. The accused racist has done more to improve the lives of people of color than the President of color.
