CONCORD – Governor Lynch, true to his word vetoed HB 474, the right to work Bill recently passed out of the house and Senate. Passed out of both the house and Senate, the bill has drawn the ire of the Union Hackarama far and wide. All of the pro-unionists came out in force to pontificate about being against the working men and women of this country; About people who will starve and go hungry; and when the rhetoric and false logic had no effect, They crowded hearing rooms and were disruptive with verbal outbursts. Despite all this bad behavior, rank demagoguery and cursing at lawmakers, the bill passed anyway.
Tom Fahey, Statehouse Bureau Chief for the Union Leader writes, “Unions see the bill as a move funded by out of state interests to undercut their role in the workplace. (Unions) argue that the measure intrudes in labor-management relations,” in this morning’s UL article,GOP goes after right-to-work opponents.
Juxtapose that against Unions bussing in “volunteers” for Carol Shea-Porter’s campaign from, Lord-knows where; And, the Union interests from all around the country pumping big dollars into local campaigns, those hardly qualify as out-of-state interests? Leave it to Union mouthpieces to complain about the very thing that is not only pro forma for them, but done with absolute shameless impunity.
Governor Lynch and his union cronies, with their Machiavellian Template, redefine the plain and ordinary meaning of words in the furtherance of their subterfuge. In his press release Governor Lynch chastises, “States should not interfere with the rights of businesses and their employees to freely negotiate contracts. That is unless there is a compelling public interest, and there is no compelling public interest in passing this legislation…” They would have us believe that somehow the veto of this bill is was advocacy for freedom.” Lynch would have us believe job seekers have this “freedom” already in place enabling them to be free from the yoke of the Unions. That is untrue, when an employee has to pay an agency fee to the coffers of the Union. That is essentially joining the Union by proxy.

That’s the Yahoo! News headline. Hillary Edited Out of Iconic Photo. Though I’m not particularly concerned about that. I’m more interested in the media narrative about a staged photo. The word iconic keeps popping up as an adjective to describe this "piece of…history."

Which of these five do you think the media is shooting for?
Given the direction of public education, I think we will have to amalgamate these into a common perception. Something that fits the modern, western, collective unconscious, or in this case the media narrative about the current administration. Iconic implies a historical moment of great importance destined to define our nation and it’s leaders (so -depicted) for generations to come. Think- Sputnik moment!

Northern Pass: Redux Of 1970’s Pope County Michigan
Northern Pass wants to build a build a 180-mile power line corridor through 44 Granite State Communities from as far North as Pittsburg down to Deerfield.
House Bill 648, “An act relative to eminent domain petitions by public utilities” brought 250 supporters, roughly 170 of which are property owners located on the proposed or alternative route of the project. According to the Bill’s analysis section, the bill seeks to, “Prohibit public utilities from petitioning for permission to take private land or property rights for the construction or operation of a private large scale transmission line.” The bill drew overwhelming support by those who fear their land might be taken from them or rendered worthless.
Such fears are not without precedent. This fight is not a new fight. This very situation played out in Minnesota in the early 1970’s where farmers waged a fight against big power companies taking farmland by eminent domain. The farmers ultimately lost this fight. This account is detailed in the book Powerline: the first battle of America’s energy war, written by the late Senator Paul D. Wellstone and Barry M. Casper (Forward in 2003 by lefty Senator Tom Harkin). Aside from the book being written by a couple of liberal progressives, the book is otherwise instructive in the plight of these farmers against Big Power.
Arguments against the project range from blighting the landscape and disparately affecting the tourism industry to devaluation of land have been leveled. those are all reasonable. But there is one component given very little attention in the discussion here.
Big Power will nearly always make an attractive financial offer to you for a utility easement over your land. But what few really comprehend what happens after such an easement is given by a landowner. Read the account of a Fond-du-Lac Wisconsin Farmer that granted a power company a lease to install a wind turbine on his farm land.
The Implosion Of Another Left Wing ‘Institution’
NPR is dodging bullets at a time when it was already facing an uphill battle to justify continued taxpayer funding. So having an executive expose the network culture on hidden video is the last thing they needed.

The Concord Monitor is reporting that Paul Hodes has started a business consultancy. This will have him back and forth to Washington DC for the purpose of connecting northern New England to Washington DC; a lateral move from his role as congressman when he was trying to sign New Hampshire away to Washington DC.
Sebelius Admits to Obamacare Double tap
Fans of the movie Zombieland might understand the post title right away. In the movie the lead protagonist, "Columbus" has a set of rules he always follows which he believes are the only reason he is still alive after the world is turned into Zombieland by a mutant strain of Mad Cow disease that turns almost everyone into crazed, flesh eating zombies.
Rule #1 is cardio. You need to be able to run away from Zombies.
Rule # 31 is Check the back seat. Always look to see if there is a Zombie in the back of the car before you drive away in it.
Rule # 3, beware of bathrooms. Zombies seem to be able to sense when you are at your weakest.
Rule #18 Limber up. Wouldn’t want to come up lame.
And Rule #2? Double Tap. It is not a waste of ammo to put another round into the head of a zombie to make sure they are down for the count.
So who stumbles into my metaphor but Obama Zombie and Health and Inhuman Services Minister Kathleen Sebelius. Note to the left–no, I am not suggesting we double tap her, I am suggesting she and the democrats of the 111th congress–and all your lying or deluded selves included– have double-tapped the Taxpayers. Sebelius has just admitted to a congressional committee that a huge chunk of money they claimed was going to offset the costs of Obamacare is the legislative-accounting equivalent of a double tap.
Wisconsin Protesters
To the Editor:
Many of the people protesting on Saturday don’t even understand what they are doing. They talk about “Worker’s Rights” (which I support). But they have been duped into protesting for public sector “Union rights”, the right of unions to conspire with politicians against the interests of the American people.
President Franklin Roosevelt said it was wrong to unionize government workers because they are supposed to serve the public. He was right. The public sector was unionized about 50 years ago. Unionization has led to union leaders and politicians creating an increasing number of safe, easy and often low value, well paid unionized employees whose union dues are funneled back to the politicians. It is a vicious cycle. Politicians are supposed to represent the people, but they ignore the good of the people to reward their union supporters. This is corruption pure and simple.
Local Fish Wrapper Concord Monitor Editorial On Asylums And Witch Hunts
When assertions come to the forefront accusing the government and the courts of corruption, misconduct and oppression…and those assertions are made by those who might be well-considered, “conservative,” those people are wing nuts…nut jobs, extremists, fascists and, as the Concord Monitor characterizes them, “Witch Hunters.”
And, when accusations of government of corruption, court misconduct and oppression are made by those who of a liberal progressive bent, suddenly the conversation devolves into the plight of the poor oppressed and persecuted individuals and their plight before a corrupt right wing government consisting of the, “White Anglo-Saxon Protestant Oligarchy,”…usually followed by the requisite hue and cry, “We must rise up and stick it to, ‘the man.'”
How an issue is couched depends largely on one’s world view. But to read the Concord Monitor editorial, accepting what is written at face value, one might easily opine that the actions of Representatives Itse, Ingbretson, Baldasaro and Seidel are patently without merit. But in typical liberal fashion, the editorial staff at CM banks its assertions on the notion that people are not going to critically think about what is being done in the name of justice and accept their notion that this is nothing more than a witch hunt.
The Weare Secret Police
Officers of the Weare Police Department do not like to be video-recorded, audio-recorded or photographed. In fact if recorded, they will arrest those who do without permission.
Since October of 2010, three people have been arrested by the Weare Police on felony wiretapping charges because individuals did not obtain consent from officers being videotaped. Do people ever ask for permission? Yes, in fact they do. Do police officers consent? I know of no instance. 
Police Cruisers, Booking Areas and the appurtenances of Police buildings often have video equipment installed and operating. Irony. Looking at 570-A:2, II (j), there is a legal exception for a, “uniformed law enforcement officer to make an audio recording in conjunction with a video recording of a routine stop performed in the ordinary course of patrol duties on any way as defined by RSA 259:125, provided that the officer shall first give notification of such recording to the party to the communication.”
So, the law states that police can video traffic stops and no consent is required, but a mere giving of notice to the person being stopped. But, it seems that some discretion is afforded as to video or not to video.
Bend It For The Benjamins
As a follow up to this, yesterday or maybe the day before, the NH Journal (NHJ), New Hampshire’s prominent internet news source if the news is whatever Hynes communications is being paid to call news, decided to float a lie called pin the conservative blogger to Jack Kimball. Someone the NH Journal staff knew would stir the pot was fingered as Kimball’s communications director if he won the job as GOP State party chairman, even though no one–including Kimball and the blogger–knew anything about it until after the digital ink was dry.
The goal for Hynes and Millerick, (owner and editor respectively at NHJ) appear to have been to send the RINO’s into a mad stampede. RINO’s stampede easy so it worked. Some RINO’s were so miffed, and wanting so badly for just such a story to jump on, they picked up the lie and ran with it. (Just like a progressive if that’s not too provocative a statement to make.)
There was a bit of damage control but once it’s out there, it is out there, no different than when CNN or MSNBC does it. But the story did not end there.
Sullivan’s New Hampshire
The ‘Su’ in Suckly, Kathy Lawsuit’ Sullivan, has a regular editorial in the Union Leader. I have no idea why but after reading it and taking a shower to get the brimstone smell off of me, I have to make an arbitrary decision as to whether I should comment. Normally I do not. Her template is the recipe for left wing baby formula and so unoriginal I could probably find it in every other paper in the country with the word New Hampshire replaced with (insert name of your state here.) But this time she closed her ditty with the words…"They are about to destroy the New Hampshire we love."
This is red meat-bait for right wing carnivores. It begs the obvious question, ‘"what New Hampshire do they love," they being Sullivan and the far left democrats, and history has been kind enough to provide us with an answer.
Repeal The “Evergreed” Law
The Evergreed law screws taxpayers. It gives automatic wage and benefit increases based on the last approved contract removing any incentive on the part of the unions to negotiate in good faith with a town or city unless it thinks or knows it can do better than the contract it already has.
Whose Jounal Is It?
This weeks Merrimack Journal was actually the Bedford Journal. They called it the ‘New Years’ Journal, but with a few minor exceptions, everyting in it was about Bedford. The letters to the editor were from Bedford. The news and sports…Bedford.
Four Years All For Naught?
I have just three thoughts to share for the moment; Carol had four years in a democrat majority congress–which promised to clean up the swamp, two of them with a democrat president, and I do not see any attempt by her party or by Carol herself (she is defined legislatively as a follower not a leader) to address this or anything else outside the big blue box of liberal progressive agenda items.
Progressive Flatulence
So maybe the 700,000 taxpayer dollars given to UNH to advance the study of “organic farming” was not just a left wing exercise in global warming alarmist advocacy. Maybe, just maybe, it was not meant to study cow farts.

Following on the heels of Tim’s post about the tone deafness of the Senate (just scroll down) and the massive trillion dollar (that’s $1,000,000,000,000.00) case of bi-partisan domestic spending abuse known as the Omnibus, I thought you might like to see the list of Senators who are still abusing the "privilege" of adding earmarks even though the populace has made it clear we no longer want legislators doing that.
Tone deaf Shaheen has 32, and soon to be former (and apparently not soon enough) Senator Judd Gregg has 13. I don’t have the specific allocations, just name, party and number of requests and there is no shortage of abuse from either party. (H/T to Jamie Dupree and ajc)

So did Jeanne Shaheen vote for cloture on the Reid’s Frankenstein tax compromise and will she vote to pass it? I ask because it includes Billions for a one year extension of ethanol subsidies that Senator Shaheen just insisted we could not afford.

The Biggest Special Interest Of All
There’s something you might want to keep in mind about the state level Democrat wind machine as we move forward toward 2012. It has been their practice to ignore their own out of state campaign dollars as they attack anyone or anything on the Republican side with even the most tenuous connection to influence from outside the state. Even the governor has stood up and declared that he is against the influence of money from outside the state, while hundreds of thousands have poured into his pockets from places farther and wider than the political borders of the Granite State. But that’s all superficial by comparison to this.
How do governor Lynch, Chairman Buckley, presumptive democrat candidates for 2012 at every level, the whole of the democrat party, even their RINO sympathizers, explain why they embrace massive infusions of out of state money and all the disruptive influence it has at the state and local level…from the federal government?
