Gun control advocates in Texas are excited because a House panel has advanced a bill to raise the age at which you can buy an AR-15 from 18 to 21.

So Now We See A New Socialist Govt Doing Usual Gun Grab. Wonder Why Democrats Want Our Guns, too?
And now we get to watch this happening again in real-time (reformatted, emphasis mine):
Brazil’s Socialist President Orders Nationwide Gun Grab After Surge in Sales
Vivek Ramaswamy Presidential Campaign 2/22/23: Question: Thoughts on having an Article V Convention? World Economic Forum / Davos Relationship??
Article V: The US Constitution provides for two ways to change itself – the traditional path through Congress and then to the States for ratification and an Article V Convention driven by people up through the States.
Treehugger – After Being Insulted, I Ask THE Important Question!
Again, from the same post from TH: Are British Conservatives Really Committed to Climate Action? Note the nuance of the structure of the post title – can we TRUST Conservatives? Do they really accept Climate Change – and are willing to use Government (in this case, the new and then quickly former Prime Minister Liz … Read more
Don Surber’s Point #2: Normal Parents Reaction to Teachers’ Sexuality
Part 1 was the reveal by Don Surber, while letting the info drop that I’d been looking for some time (where did the policy on “Transgender and Non-conforming” originate?). But as I said at the end of that post, Surber also made another observation I think is important, one that I think all Normal people … Read more
Bill of Rights: The Ignored History of Why it Exists
[December 15th was] “Bill of Rights Day” – commemorating ratification on Dec. 15, 1791. But what the government-run schools – and supporters of the monster state – “teach” about the Bill of Rights has almost nothing to do with the foundational principles which motivated the people who supported – and demanded it. They want us … Read more
The New Respect for Marriage Act — Where Does It Fit As Federal Legislation?
Cameron Kegan’s article “Why Any Federal Law Defining Marriage Is Unconstitutional” was published at GraniteGrok.com on December 13, the very day Biden signed the new federal law “Respect for Marriage Act.”
“Understanding the Constitution: Originalism Wasn’t Invented by Partisan Republicans”
I’ve been holding onto this post for a long time as it is one of those “philosophical” type posts that interest me a lot. Unfortunately, it’s not only densely written, it’s long – Rob Natelson is a good writer and by golly, I wanted to bring it to you. However, I’ve not discovered a good … Read more
Another Way to Pad the Vote
One thing you can count on with the Democrats and elections is their creativity in creating new voters and votes. Two ideas that I hope will never come to fruition are giving non-citizens the right to vote in the United States elections and lowering the voting age to sixteen. Our Constitution secures the right to vote.

The Destructive Legacy of the Federal Taxing Power
How many people stop to consider if there are any restrictions on what or how the federal government can tax? Does the Constitution for the United States allow the federal government to tax anything it wants, whenever it wants, and in any way that it wants?
