It must be comforting, being Governors who can ignore the US Constitution

It bears repeating: The Constitution was meant to restrict GOVERNMENT and not Individuals. Progressives, however, have inverted that:

DJ Bettencourt with Chris Christie

FB Doodlings: So the Governor’s staff ain’t enthused about what I wrote, eh?

So let me spell it out, again: Compact: an agreement or covenant between two or more parties. And from my post (“Governor Sununu: “No state shall, without the consent of Congress, … enter into any agreement or compact with another state”..“): That would be from the US Constitution, Article I, Sec 10 (paragraph 3) that … Read more

117,000 jobs destroyed in NH

“If I begin sacrificing my rights in order to save lives, then where does it end?”

The title is a quote from Brandon Morse at Red State. He is walking us through an incident where the Police in Raleigh, North Carolina broke up a lockdown protest. The point, of course, being that the first amendment protects that right and it was just infringed.

Who is at Risk From Covid?

No Difference In Virus Spread With or Without Lockdowns

Well it turns out there are academics who believe in consistent logic. At least one group of mathematicians has come out publicly. They are saying using your models and your data your decision making is flawed. Come let us reason together.

Live Free End the Lockdown

Governor Sununu is Wrong

This Saturday at noon there is a rally planned in front of the NH State House. The message is this. There is no sensible reason to force the entire state to endure a lockdown when the majority of cases are confined to two counties.

Chris Sununu celebrates

Governor Sununu: “No state shall, without the consent of Congress, … enter into any agreement or compact with another state”..

That would be from the US Constitution, Article I, Sec 10 (paragraph 3) that he may be ignoring. No state shall enter into any treaty, alliance, or confederation; grant letters of marque and reprisal; coin money; emit bills of credit; make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts; pass any … Read more

Texas Will Lead the Way Out of “Lockdown” – Gov. Abbott Promises Guidelines to get them back to work

With a hat-tip to states like Wyoming and South Dakota that never “went there” in the first place, Texas Gov. Abbot announced Friday that it’s time to get back to business. Next week he has promised to issue guidelines for the state’s exit from lockdown.

Perspective on Government Imposed Shutdown

Perspective on Government Imposed Shutdown

It is time for some perspective on government imposed shutdown. The President made an announcement. He is aiming toward Easter Sunday as the point at which to begin getting the economy going again. This is triggering heavy opposition. The debate is about how much destruction to the economy to inflict. That is simply a stupid … Read more

Democrat Deb Stevens Tells Constituent She Will Not Re-Open Her State Rep Facebook Page

Nashua Democrat Deb Stevens is a NH State Rep. Like many Rep’s she had a Facebook page for her public business. To interact with constituents, share ideas. Rant about gun owners, civil wars, and bloodshed and why we need unconstitutional Red Flag Laws.

Judge to City of Manchester – Put Mark Warden on the ballot or reschedule the election. I’ve posted about this case by Mark Warden demanding to be put on the Manchester ballot for the Charter Commission already and in looking at the Law.  Frankly, it seemed quite clear it would be a slam dunk – … Read more

Government Shutdown Theater: Intermission

The Government Shutdown is in remission. Or, as I prefer to say, it’s an intermission. A deal has been struck (important words) to put Federal employees back to work. Some people, like Ann Coulter, are pissed off. Trump caved. The left won. It’s over.

#Woke Tragedy at Harvard – Ban on Single-Sex Groups Hurting Women More Than Men

Fraternities and men’s only clubs are a thing of the past at Harvard. The impetus for this is the toxic masculinity narrative. (Like the one being pushed by Gillette.) Men in exclusive groups become misogynistic bastards who mistreat women. To put an end to this Harvard said no more.  So, beginning with the 2017 Freshman Class, anyone who joined … Read more

Schumer Shutdown – Chuckie Schumer blinks, reads polls, take that long dive into political “Cave in”

And the Democrat Minority Leader, Chuck Schumer (D/Progressive – NY) has just caved into to the person that the Democrats believe is the stupidest person in the world: President Donald Trump.  How does that even work that the stupid guy won – and won easily yet again? I doubted it was possible, but Dems have … Read more

Mike Kitch – Journalist or Big Government Defender?

"Simply, this "journalist" has decided that his is not to merely report the news but to shape it – and he hates to see Government spending cut."  IMHO, Mike Kitch is nothing but an ass who does his readers a HUGE disservice.  News?  Nay, propaganda!  And extremely thinly veiled at that.  Filed under "Journalism – … Read more

A few words with Charlie Bass about Obama and McCain, and how the differences in their policies affect us here in New Hampshire…

Earlier today, GraniteGrok spoke with NH’s former 2nd District Congressman Charles Bass… What are the key differences between John McCain and Barack Obama with regards to their solutions to the present economic woes that ordinary New Hampshire citizens– the "Joe the plumbers"– need to know? There are 3 areas of concern with what Obama has … Read more

Band of brothers… “Law? Fine for thee, but not for me…”

THEN, go back to the scene." And of course, the thought … Read more
