The Least Free Place In America – American Colleges and Universities

The Latest from Prager University Question: Which American institution—one that prides itself on being open, democratic, and diverse—punishes its members severely for offering unpopular opinions, while it offers them a very narrow, limited worldview? AFP/NH Grand Opening Videos – Micro Interview with Free State Project President Carla Gericke

Last of the micro-interviews was a surprise – I had wandered around to find Mark Warden and found him talking to a few people that I had never seen before – but they certainly knew each other.  Of COURSE – FSPers from the Free State Project.  No, it is NOT as the NH Dems claim, a cause to take over the State of NH.  Rather, let them speak for themselves:

“Do you believe that adults have the right to make their own decisions about their own lives? Do you want to live in a place where adults are treated as adults? Where people take responsibility for their own actions, lives, and dealings with others? Where community is genuine and voluntary? Where your rights are fully respected, provided only that you equally respect the rights of others?”

“…have the right to make their own decisions about their own lives” – THAT’S why the Democrats hate them (and a few Progressive Republicans to boot)!  They refuse that silly Statist axiom that only the Collective can make the best decision for the serfs Individual.  So when I learned who was in front of me, I had to ask “would you spend a few minutes with GraniteGrok?”.  And Carla said yes!

Carla Gericke

President, Free State Project

Mike Gill Interview with Nashua Patch on FRM Cover Up

Mike Gill is naming names as he continues to seek accountability from those involved in New Hampshire’s  FRM banking scandal and beyond.  Elected officials, judges, members of the banking committee, friends and family of people in State Government, and the AG’s office, are all implicated by Mr. Gill in the scheme and its cover up.

We had Mike on GrokTALK! last week (I’ll post that individual segment up today) but you can listen to him here as well, in part one of two from an interview he did with Nashua Patch.

AFP/NH Grand Opening Videos – Micro Interviews with NH State Reps JR Hoell and Mark Warden

Two of the hardest working State Reps for Individual Freedom and Liberty were also there last night: JR Hoell and Mark Warden.  They have one way of looking at things: where there is a place for a limited government (a status that Progressive Democrats think is akin to anarchy) they always advocate that power removed from Government and handed back to the Individual.  I have never known either one to back down from a fight for that outlook either.  The word “back benchers” could never be applied to them; they lead from the front.

GrokTV: Belknap County Republican meeting – I’m a Republican but don’t tell anyone!

So, how’s that Brand working out fer ya, eh?  Not only what appears on the recording from last Wed night, but mostly what was said after I shut it down.  And yes, you will not see the person who didn’t want to be recorded nor hear their words; you see, I keep my word:

There was another person who wants to keep his Republicanism on the down low because “of what I do” – he was lurking in “the other room.   That’s their decision – but I can disagree with it.  Now, there was a more robust discussion of public / private after the camera shut off.  I dryly note that near the end of the  meeting, it was said by the Chair (paraphrased) “we need to be a bit more quiet as they may hear us in the public bar area” – which was “hidden by view” by a rather flimsy room separater. So much for being a “private meeting”, eh?
