Hockey is one of my favorite sports and I was looking forward to seeing the newly structured playoffs. Imagine my surprise five minutes into the first game when they cut to a large banner that read “We skate for Black Lives Matter.”
The Nashua Board of Aldermen voted to pass an updated mask ordinance. “By a 13-2 vote, the Nashua Board of Aldermen approved an amendment to the city’s COVID-19 mask policy that says retail businesses must post “Face Covering Required” signs at their entrances and deny service to anyone who is not wearing a mask.”
Despite staunch and consistent opposition of student representatives from the city’s high schools, the Manchester Board of School Committee voted to add student representatives to their ranks.

I am angry. Are you listening? I am a public school teacher (now in Massachusetts) and parent of two children. My family lives in Nashua. Some of you may recall that I have sent a few emails to the legislature in the past and have written an Op-Ed or two.
Dear Mayor Donchess:
A functional definition of Fascism is to use the government’s coercive power to force businesses to bend to government diktats. Thus, de facto control of those businesses passes to the government even if, on paper, the legal owners retain title.
That was my first reaction (GOOD!) upon learning that President Donald J. Trump had come down with the Wuhan Flu. (I just named it for the place it came from like the Spanish Flu came from Spain and German Measles came from Germany, etc.).
The City of Nashua has required masks indoors for months (except for the ‘crats in Town Hall, or so I hear). Not one of the surrounding communities has a mask mandate. So, it might surprise some that today Nashua has gone code red from a COVID19 infection spike.
The leadership of the state government of New Hampshire has failed the good people of this State. The Governor, the Attorney General, The Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President of the Senate, and many local municipalities have all violated the laws of the land.

Thank you for your investigation of the Nashua Teachers Union’s actions in response to my complaint submitted on October 30, 2019. I’m writing to you in response to your letter dated September 28, 2020, where you concluded that there was no NTU electioneering in Nashua.

Where: 141 Ledge Street, Nashua, NH 03060
Why: In a letter dated September 18, 2020, the Superintendent of the Nashua Public School District delayed in-person learning until January 2021, except for a small population of IEP students, Kindergarten, and Grade 1.
As a past member of the New Hampshire House of Representative now seeking election once again, and as a past Chair of the Town of Gilford Budget Committee, I am sometimes asked for justification or criticized for my positions and votes on various issues before the NH House, the Belknap County Delegation, and the Gilford Budget Committee.
Mayor Jim Donchess vented at a recent Nashua Board of Aldermen meeting to justify the new legal manager positions to process Right-to-Know requests. He came down hard on myself and another citizen who are simply requesting public documents to understand what is happening in our city government.
Individual rights are to Popular Sovereignty, as State’s rights are to Federalism; integral and unalienable! Our Federal form of government, a dual sovereignty style of governance, balances States’ rights and National authority in an institutional model that reflects the primordial political relationship between the minority (i.e. individual rights) and the majority (i.e. popular sovereignty).
On more than one occasion, Governor Sununu has said that life in the state might not fully return to normal until there is a vaccine. What does this mean? Not everyone wants an experimental Covid vaccine. Does Sununu intend to vaccinate everyone — without their consent forcibly?
The mayor of Nashua, James Donchess, recently tested positive for Covid-19. This is the same mayor who implemented Nashua’s mandatory mask ordinance and has taken other extreme measures in the City.
