News Clowns Try Same Trick – Not Funny

As they have been doing since I was reading Jack Anderson as a teenager, the Extreme Media have targeted a conservative for destruction. This time it is Dr. Ben Carson.

But this time is different.

This conservative Republican candidate is standing up on his hind legs and fighting back. And the Extreme Media is losing. It is fun to watch and may be a turning point and once again expose the Extreme Media/Elite Republican cabal that tries to dismantle any opposition to the “ Washington , DC is the center of the Universe” crowd.

Kathleen Kane Taking The State of Pennsylvania With Her

Kathleen-Kane

Search Democrat AG Kathleen Kane for more history but long story short, she’s a bad girl. After dropping a bribery sting because it netted state Democrats she’s lived the storied life of a corrupt attorney general who has since been indicted for a leak scandal, perjury, and corruption. She can no longer practice law – her license has been revoked. So what does the state’s highest lawyer do when she can no longer practice law?

Since all three branches of state government began moving against her over the past year,Kathleen Kane has released hundreds of sexually explicit or otherwise crude emailsthat had been sent or received by current or former public officials on their government accounts.

A Religion Without God

Modern liberalism is best understood as a movement of would-be believers in search of true faith. For much of the 20th century it was faith in History, especially in its Marxist interpretation. Now it’s faith in the environment. Each is a comprehensive belief system, an instruction sheet on how to live, eat and reproduce, a … Read more

Liberty flows upward (but Tyranny is always top-down)

If only our 21st century leaders understood this bit of Colonial wisdom we might not have screwed up the Middle East: “Liberty will not descend to a people, a people must raise themselves to liberty; it is a blessing that must be earned before it can be enjoyed.” – Benjamin Franklin (H/T: Jim Bender, former … Read more

If one of these knifed students were allowed to carry a firearm the perforating perpetrator would have a) stabbed fewer people before being shot and b) would have had to look (at least a little bit) harder for a different gun free zone assuming they knew the odds at UC Merced were not that good.

A suspect stabbed five people on a university campus in central California Wednesday morning before police shot and killed him, authorities said Wednesday.

MicroInterview: WMUR’s Adam Sexton

New WMUR logoAt a “secret” meeting (again, who opened their big yammer??) that was blasted all over the political world here in NH of a group of conservatives, WMUR’s Adam Sexton showed up with his cameraman trying to get the jist of what was going on (and if someone was going to spill the beans as to what’s going on).  Needless to say, he asked for a quick interview: so I did on Kelly Ayotte and the NH US Senatorial Primary.  But before that, Adam also interviewed Bill O’Brien (a much better person to interview):

My interview after the jump and Mike asks about the loaded question that Josh McElven asked Pam Tucker  on this past Sunday’s CloseUP

SNHU Students Could Learn a Few Things – With All The Facts

register to voteThis is the time of year I get tips about out of state voters. This tip is a bit fuzzy. I need to get some more info on it but it goes like this: Southern New Hampshire University plans on having a student voter registration drive real soon, complete with free pizza!

So far, there seems to be no problem.

Then we have the kicker. The NH ACLU will be there helping students understand their rights – their rights as defined by the NH ACLU. What, nobody called me?

Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton – “Drink You Away”

This…was pretty damn awesome. Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton sing “Tennessee Whiskey” followed by (the performance of the night?)”Drink You Away.”  I happened upon it by accident (part of the CMA’s) but stuck around to listen. It was time well spent. (Updated Video link) https://youtu.be/tqkPhTJMQDg

Saudi Arabia And the US Senate Team Up To Screw Hybrid And Electric Car Owners

Hybrid/Electric Vehicles

Back in May I published an article with Watchdog.org based on the Department of Energy 2015 Energy Outlook Report. According to the data it is difficult for Hybrid and Electric cars owners to recover the higher purchase price of a vehicle when gas prices are $3.90 a gallon.

Depending on the model it would take anywhere from 13 to 46 years to save enough money in gas to cover the higher purchase price and maintenance for EHV or PHEV technology. That was with fuel prices estimated at $3.90/gallon and electricity estimated at 0.12/kwh.

I don’t know what you are paying but I’ve been paying closer to $1.90/gallon for a few months now and I can’t remember every paying 0.12/kwh for electricity. Thanks to Obama and Company’s Clean Power Plan, if the courts don’t block it or kill it, no one will ever pay that low a price per kilowatt hour again. That’s a big set back for HEV/PHEV owners if ever there was one. The pay back period has easily doubled in just a few months thanks to gas prices. With a shadow tax coming on electricity, doom!

Gun Control is Promoted with Misleading and False Claims

James Veverka always presents compelling, although misleading and sometimes false, arguments in support of his radical leftwing policies which require Americans to give up our freedoms and prosperity.  And he offers his “evidence” with snarky comments about anyone who might disagree with him.

Consider his October 22 letter in the Laconia Daily Sun (laconiadailysun.com) about guns and gun control.

We in New Hampshire should immediately know that Veverka’s claims are simply false.  If Veverka’s gun control claims were correct, with our hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of guns, open carry, and shall-issue concealed carry laws, then New Hampshire should be a war zone.  Yet New Hampshire (and Vermont with fewer gun restrictions) typically vies for the lowest murder rate in the nation, usually by a wide margin.  Guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens do not create a crime problem.

Capitalism: Mankind’s Golden Goose

One of the negative results of the wealth created by capitalism is that ignorant, lazy, and/or jealous people have time to complain about capitalism.  Typically they do this from comfortable homes filled with indoor plumbing, labor-saving and entertaining appliances; eat good food; drive their car(s) on public roads; receive public education; and keep in touch with friends, family, and information via cell phones; all provided by capitalism or the money it generated.

The best thing about capitalism is that every dollar of wealth is created and every dollar is transferred because a person voluntarily exchanged his/her money for a product or service that he or she wanted more than the money.

Did Nashua violate New Hampshire Election laws?

nashuacityhall

Last night was the city of Nashua’s local elections. Most winners were announced after votes were tallied except in one area, the school board. The school board was a bit of a contentious race because there were five seats and five candidates running but they weren’t union-backed candidates. The unions waged a write-in campaign. After the polls closed all the votes were tallied, including the write-in votes but something happened that does not appear to follow New Hampshire’s election law.
