(H/T: Liberal Logic 101) Who works for who in the “Land of the Free”? If I am working such that most of my money is going to the Government, am I a citizen or a serf? Emphasis mine:
Thank the Democrats for dropping their mask in showing (and legislating) you that they truly believe your money really should belong to them. You know who REALLY believes this?
Socialists. Like the two running for President (maybe two and a third?).
Remember Phil Mickelson, the top pro golfer that complained that when all levels of Government were factored, his tax rate was over 60%? Whom is serving whom? Think Progress, that very Lefty blog site, had little sympathy for him, given how badly Government wanted its money back and how rich he is – he shouldn’t complain about his “richness”:
But even if he does pay a higher tax rate, he doesn’t have it all that bad. The vast majority of his income came from sponsorships, meaning companies paid him $43 million to wear their logos, play golf with their equipment, and film commercials. He made another $4.8 million playing in 22 golf tournaments, bringing his career total to more than $66 million and his net worth north of $150 million. He is the world’s seventh highest-paid athlete.
So what if he’s rich? He earned it – both by playing well enough to be one of the top golfers in the world, enough that those sponsorships were earned (although I’m betting the Left would consider it unearned and unworthy).

The Bigger the Government, the smaller the citizen
