Don’t you always love how anti-gun politicians point to the European Union as examples of how gun laws in these United States should be? “Well, in Europe…” or, “In Australia…” the diatribe always begins. Then, when they dig into the comparisons, its always about, “gun deaths.” Never about the level of other kinds of violent crime, resulting in death or serious injury that Europe experiences on an annual basis. European nations are somehow the shining example of how gun laws for America ought to be. The biggest flaw in that narrative is that none of those European countries have anything that even remotely resembles this nation’s second amendment. Anti-gun libs never address that simple morsel…unless it is to get rid of it.

OK, the piece was about Bernie’s 1963 stay at a socialist kibbutz, Kibbutz Sha’ar Ha’amakim, and showing how much it was aligned with Stalinism; the above is from its founder upon the deceasement of Joe Stalin, former butcher leader of Soviet Union during WW II. It wasn’t that it was about Stalin that caught my eye,nor the thought that Bernie Sanders must have fit in like he was rolled in that Red flag.

Despite the preening sanctimonious chest thumping and general clamoring on about how the Progressives, Left, and Democrats are all for inclusive diversity (as they see it, I.e. diversity of race, gender, sexuality etc) above all else, it’s just a lie.  The Progressives and Left are just like the Right, they just don’t want to admit it.  (I have my reasons as to why this is the case, but that’s for another post.)

Case in point.  Ted Cruz is the first Latino to win a primary election in United States history.  If the pro ethnic diversity cult on the Left were truly in it for the cause, we’d be awash in his praise right now.  But does anyone take notice?  Are we flooded by oozing saccharine stories about Cruz’s tough slog against the nefarious, white, intractable oppressive culture?  Are there video segments on mainstream networks interviewing members of various Latino communities throughout the country, capturing reactions or even asking for one?  Is Cruz’s mug gracing all the right magazines with articles extolling praise on his courageous victory and asking him stem winders like, “What’s it feel like to finally break through the brown barrier barricading Latinos out of the political process?”

What about the fact that another Latino came in third?  Same questions.

What about the fact that 60% percent (60 percent) of those hideous white racist Iowa Republicans voted for non-white candidates (Cruz 28%, Rubio 23%, Carson 9%)?

CONCORD — Secretary of State Bill Gardner is predicting a record 550,000 votes will be cast in Tuesday’s Presidential Primary. He believes 282,000 Republican ballots will be cast – a record for the GOP – and 268,000 Democratic ballots, second to the 272,000 cast in 2008.

…There are 882,959 registered voters in the state, with 389,472 undeclared voters, 262,111 Republicans and 231,376 Democrats. If Gardner’s prediction is actuate, 62 percent of the state’s registered voters will participate in Tuesday’s primary.

Clinton: ‘I Have a Hard Time Imagining the Kind of National Emergency’ That Would Trigger Draft

“I have a hard time imagining the kind of national emergency that would require the use of the Selective Service System,” Hillary Clinton told a Democrat town hall hosted by CNN Wednesday night.  She was asked for her thoughts on requiring women to sign up with Selective Service at age 18, just as all American men must do.

Leaders may want to hope for the best but have to prepare for the worst in fulfilling the oath to defend us from all enemies, domestic and foreign.  So that does include preparing for war.  For Hillary Clinton to just throw our history under the bus (e.g., Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War II) in which the entire nation was put onto a war footing, I am just astonished.  Are we to expect that her time in office (God forbid that it would happen) is yet another Hillary entitlement of Bill “War on Women” Clinton’s time of peace?
