Twenty-Two days ago I announced a Grok ‘Resolution’ of sorts. Our effort to overtake the Keene Sentinel in Alexa’s US Rankings. Everyone needs goals, right?
I’m happy to report that we’ve made some progress. The Berlin Daily Sun, which was between the Keene Sentinel and us is no longer in our way (at least for now). We’ve squeaked past them into the number 8 slot on our list improving from 73,950 in the US to 61,765.
Here is what is going on with the Winslow Case that was featured on Channel 9 last week.
I am trying to represent them under RSA 311 after their attorney filed a motion to withdraw before the final hearing.
The Town has started to take so-called junk from Winslow property even going to the lengths of entering his garage and trailer. Judge Messer stopped that last Wednesday, Jan. 11 with a motion for injunctive relief they filed before I met them.

Seacoast progressives meet to set agenda
PORTSMOUTH – More than a hundred Seacoast progressives turned out for an informational session on the upcoming legislative agenda and mid-term elections Thursday night at the Unitarian-Universalist South Church.
Representatives from active, non-partisan campaigns in New Hampshire working to address topics ranging from social justice, education, health care and democracy issues all spoke about specific bills that have been submitted for the upcoming session, which number more than 1,000.

Today, organizations that make money as drug abuse treatment centers held a breakfast for legislators to urge them to continue supporting Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion. These organizations directly benefit from taxpayer dollars because they rely on them in order to keep their doors open.
In fact, John Burns, Director of SOS Recovery, admitted that his organization will not stay in business if taxpayers don’t keep funding health insurance for able-bodied, childless adults who can work:

Well, given the utter Senate Democrat collapse that turned the #SchumerShutdown into #SchumerCaved, I can see why the DACA recipients and other illegal immigrants (and the groups that want complete amnesty for them) are upset at the Democrat Party – and some are realizing they are nothing but political pawns to be thrown away as the Democrats need to. But there were a number of the DACA folks that deliberately decided that it is their mission in life to ruin things for ordinary folks simply because they have a mad on. From the LA Times, a post on making the “everyone must be miserable because I am” strategy and life mission of Democrats quite clear (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Tonight, the New England Patriots won the AFC Championship and will be headed, once again, to the Super Bowl. Of course, every news site was reporting it but one glaringly stood out for the absolute incompetence in their choice of a photo, WMUR.
You see, this photo isn’t of any current team member. According to the Pats’ roster, there is no current team player with an ’81’ jersey other than some dude on the practice squad and he looks nothing like the player in the photo.
In Vermont we have your typical mandatory public education story flipped on its head. There are not enough kids to have a high school!
The “locals” seem befuddled as to what to do. It seems without having a big expensive school system no one can figure out how to educate three high school kids. The cost per student is currently over $21,000 each per year.

In my opinion, one of the more important hearings last week was for HB 1739, addressing Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
The mountain of testimony was not pleasant, but it was necessary for the committee to hear about this barbarous practice. Some cultures moving into New Hampshire want to continue practices from their home country that are not acceptable in America. It is important for each state to establish laws to reflect this.
Vermont just legalized recreational marijuana. Gov. Phil Scott, a Republican, said he signed the bill into law with “mixed emotions” during a private signing, the Associated Press reports. And the Democrat Minority Leader, Chuck Schumer (D/Progressive – NY) has just caved into to the person that the Democrats believe is the stupidest person in the world: President Donald Trump. How does that even work that the stupid guy won – and won easily yet again?
I doubted it was possible, but Dems have actually lost a shutdown fight. Schumer has agreed to end the filibuster in exchange for practically nothing. Make no mistake: Schumer & Dems caved. What a political fiasco.

Methinks is that he doesn’t back down, he doesn’t give in, doesn’t give up and, like the NE Patriots yesterday, finds a way to win. Very unRepublican of him, isn’t it, to simply stiffen his spine and tell the Democrats to go pound sand and then mean what he says?

The last few months have not been kind to the feminists that have insisted that there are no differences between guys and gals because gender is merely a “social construct”. I guess that math hasn’t gotten the message – or is it that feminists are too blinkered to admit that math really doesn’t care what you are (emphass mine, reformatted):
Oxford University has extended time for maths and computer science exams in a bid to help women get better grades. Undergraduates were given 105 minutes to complete their papers, rather 90. There was no change in difficulty or the length of questions and female students were said to do better as a result. Dons trialed the changes to allow women to achieve higher results, with just seven female maths finalists achieving firsts last year compared with 45 men. The proposals were put forward to reduce the ‘undue effects of time pressure’ which the prestigious university believe affects women more than men, reports the Sunday Times.
