Progressive Billionaire Tom Steyer Tells DNC Machinery He Can “Do It” Without Them

pedro-cerrano-with-jobu--e1468798650126From Frank Sinatra who did it his way to Pedro Cerrano in the movie Major League who said, “F— You! Jobu, I do it myself,” entertainment prides itself on featuring a “talent” who bails on their old conventions and grabs independence with both hands “and a flashlight.”

It’s a mixed message, coming from that liberal bivouac. Moving forward is old school socialism. Forward like a wrecking ball or a dozer. While doing it for yourself is the thing “Moving Forward” is meant to crush. So when dirty-coal billionaire turned environmental green monster Tom Steyer announced he’s done donating to the DNC because it “can’t find it’s own ass with both hands and a flashlight” (my words not his) I find that entertaining.

Can I Drop Off A Junkyard In Your Town?

Unlicensed junk yard
The Town of New Boston’s “contractor” is hauling “junk” from the Winslow property to an unlicensed, illegal junkyard in Dunbarton.

A few weeks ago, I was asked to help a couple, John and Mona Winslow, of New Boston who are the subject of an administrative order to have “junk” removed from their property. The property is a pre-existing, nonconforming use in effect from about June of 1965. Tons of documentation prove this.

The Town, in document after document, confirms the pre-existing nonconforming uses of the 1.5-acre lot. It is a one-man repair garage, towing service. He plows snow, welds, fabricates, and performs all manner of mechanical magic.

Doomsday Moved Up Thanks To Trump?

Nuke the cows

This made me laugh out loud.

A panel of scientists and policy experts moved their Doomsday Clock 30 seconds closer to midnight on Thursday, citing President Trump’s rhetoric on nuclear weapons, environmental deterioration due to climate change and a lack of trust in political institutions.

Let’s put aside the discrediting fiction of climate change for a moment (if we can) and focus on something with relevance.

Trans Activists and their Allies Continue to Lie about Discrimination in NH

freedomfraud

For the past few weeks, Freedom NH, funded by out-of-state millionaires in the LGBTQ movement, has been pushing sponsored ads on social media trying to convince everyone in New Hampshire that trans people somehow don’t have the same protections from discrimination as everyone else does. They’re lying. Just like they lied last year when pushing the exact same legislation.

Here is just one example:

Data Point – “Federal Spending Set Record During Shutdown”

But the $16,596,000,000 that the federal government spent on Monday–when it was shut down–was more in constant inflation-adjusted dollars than the federal government has spent before on the fourth Monday in January, according to the Daily Treasury Statements (going back to 1998) that are posted on the website of the Treasury Department’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service. … Read more

NFL Ratings Crash Carries Into Post-Season

NFL fans making a statement 2017-09-26By Jim Johnson

From the Associated Press: “Ratings Crash for Vikings-Eagles NFC Championship Game, Jags-Pats Earn Lowest Early Game Rating Since 2013”

Television ratings for the National Football League continue to plummet, stadium attendance diminishes week after week, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell seems oblivious to the leagues deteriorating appeal among football enthusiasts.

Has Hollywood really jumped the shark and is admitting it has no ideas? Murphy Brown

Murphy Brown and childWe’ve been subjected to years of movie sequels and prequels and our fair of TV show retreads.  The prime contemporary examples of the latter are the reboots of Roseanne with its entire cast (really, can you imagine Roseanne as a Trump supporter) and now one of the “iconic” TV shows that turned itself into a Progressive culture war spear:

‘Murphy Brown’ Revival Set At CBS With Star Candice Bergen & Creator Diane English

Dem’s Using Russia Narrative To Silence Speech They Oppose

orwell-free-speech (1)David Harsanyi writing in The Federalist wades into the latest on the #Releasethememo kerfuffle. The “memo” is rumored to outline FBI abuses some would have made public. Democrats (why is it always Democrats?) are scrambling to block the memo or discredit its contents, among them Dianne Feinstein and Rep. Adam Schiff; who are suggesting that the Russians are the ones pushing for the release of the memo, which Mike Rogers covered in some detail here.

Harsanyi confirms that,

As it turns out, reports today say that Twitter’s internal analysis found that it was mostly Americans, not creepy Slavic mind-control robots, who were behind the hashtags. Which is important but not the point he’s looking to make.

Democrats want People Needing Handouts, Republicans want People to Prosper

Democrats hysterically lash out against President Trump because Democrats desperately need to divert attention from Democrat failures to improve the lives of most Americans and from President Trump’s successes in improving Americans’ lives.

During President Obama’s eight years only the rich prospered, most of the rest of us became poorer.  And Democrats continue opposing President Trump’s efforts to make Americans safer, freer, and more prosperous.

Democrats opposed the Trump tax cuts that let most Americans keep more of their own money and inspired nearly 200 companies to announce bonuses, increased wages, increased benefits, and/or investments to create more good American jobs.  Democrats oppose President Trump’s enforcing the immigration laws that many of these same Democrats voted for.

There’s a Petition To Cut The Number of Democrat Super Delegates

Democrat Party Civil WarIn a recent MoveOn.org email Chris Liquori from Portsmouth, New Hampshire is promoting a petition to cut the number of Democrat Superdelegates by 60 percent.

Vote to enact the Democratic National Committee Unity Reform Commission’s recommendations on reducing superdelegates by 60% in time for the 2020 primary cycle at the next DNC meeting.

Chris goes on to note that Superdelegates are contrary to the nature of democratic elections and the sooner we move to eliminate the undeserved influence of superdelegates, the stronger the Democratic Party will be. He wants to win back voter trust in time for 2020. Maybe because he’s a Bernie Sanders delegate?

Does Portsmouth NH’s Bond Rating Account for all that Climate Change Fear-Mongering?

Portsmouth Lighthouse
Portsmouth Lighthouse – looking the same as it did 100 years ago.

Seven cities in California are suing energy companies claiming that their contribution to global warming puts their municipalities at grave risk. That the energy industry giants misrepresented the dangers and in exchange for this malfeasance these cities should be rewarded with a little court-ordered public policy victory and some jackpot justice.

Somone at Exxon-Mobile decided to turn the tables. They are asking why the catastrophic claims made by these same municipalities in their lawsuit do no match the language used to woo bond investors?
