The party of civility strikes again, and while this may not be as crass as expressing opportunistic glee at the death of a Republican, it fits the pattern of ingrained hostility that truly defines them as a party.
Tuftonboro selectman Chip Albee, a registered Democrat, referred to the “Moultonborough Taliban” when speaking about Republicans in neighboring Moultonborough.

HB 628, which has a tax on income built into it, passed yet another hurdle today when 28 Republicans voted in favor of taxing your income. No need to get into the issues with the bill again for the moment, but if you are new to this debate you can find them here.
Our purpose is to make you aware that (1) no Democrats voted against adding an income tax in New Hampshire, and (2) it could not have passed without Republican votes. Meaning, the threat of an income tax would have failed if they’d voted against it.

So, because Dick Devens hasn’t understood, can’t understand, and seemingly never will, he wants to change a vital part of our Representative Republic to take away yet another Check and Balance that was DESIGNED to have checks and balances. So because he doesn’t understand something, he wants it simplified; even if he doesn’t understand the severe repercussions of doing so. From the Laconia Daily Sun (reformatted, emphasis mine):

A funny thing happened on the way to the junkyard story in New Boston – the story disappeared from WMUR.
Set the “Way-Back Machine” for the second week in January when CNHT started helping John and Mona Winslow, owners of Duke’s Garage in that town. I went to meet them and was sitting in the kitchen going through court records the lawyer who abandoned them left behind when I was informed WMUR had just shown up with a cameraman.
If you know me and CNHT you know we stay away from the established media because…they never help.

New Hampshire law states that “political advertising” must be signed. In other words, if you are distributing materials that advocate for the success or defeat of a candidate or a particular measure, you need to state clearly and legibly who paid for it.
In early January, an unsigned flyer showed up in some mailboxes around our district making the specious claim that New Hampshire’s current school choice bill (SB193) “drains $3600.00 per pupil from the State education budget.”
Ironically, the headline on the flyer was “Say NO to Property Tax Increase.”
The unfolding by the minute attempted overthrow of a sitting president by the American news media and Democrats has been shy, so far, of the inevitable financial paper trail. We are linking people and emails right now.
But I did notice some interesting blacked out fields in a Fusion GPS expense statement a while back. Several payments were implied to have been made to “journalists.” These were redacted.

And miserable is the operative word. As many of you know, we’ve been having a number of trolls coming in lately. Now, I have no problem with those that disagree with me or other Groksters but it is clear that’s not why they are here. For years, I’ve had one rule for both authors and commenters:
Rule #1 – Adult themes, kid friendly. Don’t post something

HB628 establishes a mandatory paid family and medical leave insurance (FMLI).
The bill requires NH Employment Security to establish and administer the FMLI fund.
Employers would pay quarterly premiums of 0.5 percent of employee wages.
Remember when Facebook was super-giddy-helpful with announcing that the Russians were using Facebook Ads to influence the 2016 Elections? Hey, progressives look at us pimping the narrative du jour!
Well, someone in Seattle realized Facebook was collecting cash (probably a lot of cash) for political ads and failing to properly report who was buying those ads as required by law.

The 603 Alliance Facebook page has a troll. Her name is Nanci Fletcher. According to her Facebook profile she lives in New Boston and most days she’s apt to hurl a bit of left-wing pablum our way. It is so devoid of substance it is not worth the trouble but yesterday she crossed a line so it’s time to give the troll credit where it is due.
Under a link to a story about the tragic death of former State Senator Sam Cataldo, Nanci Fletcher of New Boston wrote, “another seat for the Dems.”
