We’ll know the next Supreme Court nominee’s name on Monday, but by all accounts, the choices are already down to two.

CBS News has learned that D.C. Circuit Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Chicago Circuit Court Judge Amy Coney Barrett are currently Mr. Trump’s leading contenders for the appointment to the nation’s highest court.

A brief tour of the interwebs suggests that Barrett is the odds-on favorite. She’s a solid originalist and textualist  (she clerked for Scalia), and thanks to two other points her confirmation hearing could be a Yuge win for Trump.

Well, I guess this answers The Question of “what is the difference between a Democrat and a Socialist?”

This is the question that has been around for a while now that many high level Democrats refused to answer.  Now, as we are seeing, they’re fine in coming out of the Communist closet (as it were).  As Steve pointed out, “Democrat Socialist” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won her Congressional District Primary in NY by knocking off a long term (and in line,perhaps, to replace Pelosi as the next Speaker of the US House IF the Democrat/Socialists take over the House). Hey, the “Progressive” (actually Socialists) Caucus in the US House is the largest group the Democrats have – and have been advocating for a stealth coup of the US Constitutional values for years. And this weekend, with all of protests of those that patrol and defend our border, the Democrat Left has basically got into everyone’s faces in telling the rest of us we are racists for supporting ICE and the Border police and if you have “evolved” away from American values, the Democrat Socialists of America (that Red Rose below is their logo – it’s red due to all of the Socialist victims that were collateral damage during their Long Marches to Utopias that never existed or attained) are demanding you vote for them:

Executive Council Candidate Welcomes Colt Firearms to New Hampshire

We reported on this upcoming event last week. Today, the New Hampshire Union Leader has some reporting on Executive Council (EC) District 4 candidate Jane Cormier during the event.

A former state representative for Belknap Country’s District 8, Cormier said she plans to emphasize constitutionally conservative principles with any nominations and appointments put before the council, including a state Supreme Court position that will open in 2019.

Target Shooting Under Fire…Again

Target Shooting under fire again. Target Shooting has grown. More people are target shooting, yet the range options are shrinking.  More publicly available land is getting closed down to target shooting. Not for the reasons many think, either. The highly vocal hyperbolic, anti-second Amendment crowd is indeed out there, but the guns themselves aren’t the lynch pins…It is the land…the use of the land.

As many Grok readers know, I have been the leader of one of Southern New Hampshire’s Largest sporting clubs with over 1,500 members.  In addition, the Londonderry Fish & Game Club also has eight ranges for firearm use to include a newly constructed 200-400 Yard Range. I have spent countless thousands of hours pressing forward with the planning and design efforts that have now come to full fruition at our wonderful facility.
